Overall it was a nice stay and felt clean and safe. Wish there was a front desk but good communication through email.

Perfect 1-night stay here. The staff who checked me in were absolutely lovely, the kitchen has what you need, the bed was super comfortable with darkening blinds on the windows, great shower, and great location. As long as you're okay with a hostel, 10/10 would recommend in Reykjavik.

This is actually my first time staying in a hostel. Checkin was easy enough, in the restaurant downstairs. There's no keys to the rooms (keypads with a code) so for checkout I just left. The spiral staircase to get to the rooms is a real pain if you have heavy bags or have limited mobility. I stayed in a 6-person female dorm with bunkbeds. Every bunk has a dedicated outlet and lamp. In early June the clientele seemed to be mostly younger people but I didnt hear anyone being rowdy during typical sleep hours. The communal kitchen needs more frequent cleanings. There are several showers and toilets so there was no line to bathe. You can feasibly walk to downtown Reykjavik from this location. There is ONLY street parking so you need to find a spot and stick to it. There's a bus stop across the street BUT the Klappid app is broken (at least for Americans). You need to find a convenience store to buy a pass if you want to ride the bus. This was a good first impression for staying in a hostel
