On the surface, looks lovely but a series of misses in comfort and service will prevent me from staying here again.
Front desk was vacant upon arrival. Waited 5 minutes for someone to show up. No way to call for them. Did not apologize. Then chastised my child for simply touching a table ornament.
Valet was unhelpful in offering alternative parking options. Literally told me to "look it up" online. Did not help unload car.
Room hallways were moldy and humid, even though it was 50 degrees outside.
Avoid ground floor rooms. Next to a walkway by the pool, so you must keep curtains closed for privacy and room smells of chlorine. Windows old and dirty. Bathroom small with no ventilation. Hair dryer handle worn down and sticky. Pillows had tears. No luggage rack. Closet with no hanging rod. Cleaning service late and incomplete.
The cherry on top was finding a lizard and fruit flies in the room AFTER the cleaning.
Some pros: vinyl floors, empty non-minibar fridge, furniture in good condition, bed comfortable.
We had the Thanksgiving meal in the hotel restaurant. Host stand missed the note about toddler and seated us in a table meant for two. Charcuterie board was a joke: few measly pieces of meat, crackers came broken or crumbled, juice from pickled vegetables soaked everything. Main meal was solid. Cheesecake was flavorless.
Property manager did respond to complaints with a room credit, which was appreciated, but doesn't make up for everything.

Ok I’m going to give a little room for coming to the hotel one day after electricity came on from Hurricane Helena… however I would have appreciated a heads up about limited food/drink/cocktail options. I specifically picked due to restaurant on the property & rated highly. Check in great, parking package I chose during reservation was honored but hotel stated $49 valet a night. I wasn’t charged for that thank goodness. The hotel condition for a Kimpton is alarmingly unkept. Floors in main entrance lobby & halls on first floor so badly worn out. Mats at entrance need replacing. Only place hotel smelled good was the lobby. So glad I opted at checkout for a printed copy of my 2 night stay! Because several days later a pending charge for “fitness center” in the amount of $227.39 appears! Waiting to be able to speak with manager as she is currently unavailable- ughhh!

Upon checking in there was a cockroach in the lobby. The lobby was unswept and so was the front of the hotel. The elevator was also unclean. All in all our stay was pleasant because with the exception of one male staffer the staff was very nice.

We stayed one night here with our two dogs. We loved that it was dog friendly and did not have an exorbitant pet fee like most other hotels. However, like many other reviews have stated it's not as pristine as their photos. It has a grungy feel and there are sections of the hotel that a strong mold smell hits you in the face! The rooms are a little stark and echo-e. There were no dog treats or pet welcome bag like some hotels offer and I did not see any water bowls around the property.
The area is charming and there are things to do within walking distance, numerous squares, The Old Pink House, lots of restaurants, but some things like Forsyth Park are a bit of a hike.
We lucked out and got a parking spot right in front of the hotel that we only had to pay for from 8:00-5:00 daily. Because we got there at 2:00, we only paid $5.00 to park because the next morning, we left by 8:30. You pay via an app so you can add money at anytime. That saved us the $49.00 hotel parking fee.
Staff was pleasant and overall it was perfect for one night.

Staff was friendly but room was underwhelming. Lacked cleanliness overall. Not what I expected from a Kimpton. Won’t recommend or ever stay again.

I want to love this property! It’s cute, the people are so nice, the pool is great, it’s close to everything but not on the main drag, restaurant has good food. I suspect they had water damage from the recent storms. The lobby just has an overwhelming mildew/mold smell. My room was on the first floor where all the guests with dogs must stay - lots of barking. It was also next to housekeeping so it was quite noisy in the mornings. The room was also just incredibly damp - I know it’s Savannah in the summer but I have been to Savannah 6 times this year and have not experienced this elsewhere.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is incredibly pet friendly so having my dog with me was a breeze! Close to riverwalk. Bicycles available to cruise around for things that are a bit too far for walking. Would definitely stay here again!
