The Space:
Valley View is a captivating 5-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom home that beautifully merges 19th-century charm with contemporary design concepts. Originally built in the 1800s, the original 2 bedroom cottage has been meticulously renovated to preserve its historic post and beam structure while adding a modern wing that enhances its natural beauty with bright, airy spaces. Set on 36.98 acres of idyllic countryside, Valley View offers expansive, panoramic pastoral views, a large serene pond, and mature trees that create a private and tranquil retreat.
As you enter the home through the new wing, a bright and spacious mudroom welcomes you and leads to the contemporary open-plan living room, dining area, and kitchen. Every inch bathed in natural light from a stunning glass window wall and fully retractable glass doors, offering uninterrupted views and seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor living. The doors open directly onto the outdoor dining and covered lounge area, and the pool and deck beyond. Inside, a large sectional and wood-burning fireplace invite cozy moments, while a spacious dining table and fully equipped kitchen cater to your culinary needs.
Beyond the kitchen, the cottage which was originally used as a general store & post office, now houses a study filled with literary delights, a large sofa and a desk for remote work. A guest bedroom features a king bed, beautiful wood beams, natural wood floors, a sitting area, and doors that open directly onto the gardens, providing a separate entrance for guests. Upstairs, a lofted bedroom with a queen bed and full bathroom also showcases the home’s natural structure.
On the main level, the newly added primary suite is a serene haven with a king bed and large picture windows that frame stunning views. On the lower level, two additional guest bedrooms, each with king beds and ensuite bathrooms, provide ample space for family and friends. A cozy TV room/den and a fully equipped gym complete this level.

Getting Around:
Valley View is approximately 2.5 hours from New York City, and while you'll definitely want a car to get enjoy the region. In the winter, we recommend a car with four-wheel drive that can handle the snow and gravel roads. There is plenty of parking on the premises.
