I studied this resort well before booking, I read about the Island too. I have to say if you are looking for a typical get away and just relax resort this is a perfect one!! Awesome staff, good food, clean, resort right on the ocean. Not much entertainment at night, so if you are looking for lots of partying and going wild maybe Cancun would be a better option for you. Its a pretty brand new resort so its developing! I was excited because being there I learned we had a complimentary 2 free day activities from the resort, 1 was snorkling (which was unbelievable, just fantastic,) and the 2nd one was 2 hour tour around the island on the boat and we get to swim in the ocean, very nicely organized both trips. If you choose Isla Mujeres make sure you do take care of your transportation details, that is very important, because once you land in Cancun a bus should take you to the Marinas and from there a ferry to the island and from there a taxi to the resort. But that can all be arranged for you through the resort. I had it taken care of through Elite Tours.

This hotel is AMAZING!!!!! If you and your partner are looking to reconnect this is the place to go. The rooms are beautiful. The staff is very welcoming and very accommodating. Breakfast and Lunch are amazing but dinner needs a little bit of work. Overall the hotel is worth every penny.

This hotel is awesome, great service, very nice rooms. In the room is a alcohol dispener and a minifridge that is refilled upon request. The language barrier was an issue. For room service, we ordered two chicken broths (soups) and got two chicken breasts. It would be helpful to know Spanish, but I assume that's anywhere not just hotel. The people there were really nice and catered to your needs. Boats brought in guests from other hotels and Cancun, but it wasn't too much of a problem. It was rather nice to have people come because then they had this hotel as the meeting point for other excursions and tours. There are two areas were you can pet sharks which was cool. mandartory donations but that's alright. Next door at night, there was always loud music going on..It wasn't a problem for us, but just something to note. We actually went here for a wedding, it was a beaituful wedding. Very nice and we had good weather. The food at the reception was wonderful. However at the hotel buffet, it wasn't very good. Edible but not delicious. They only have one restaurant. The rooms have AC which is very nice. I remember going to a resort in Cancun which didnt have AC in the rooms. To have the AC/electricity on, you need to put your key in this slot. However, we got two keys and only needed one. So sometimes we would just leave the key in the slot so our room would be cool when we returned.

My wife and I just returned from the Isla Mujeres Palace and could not have been happier. The hotel is practically brand new and is gorgeous. If you are looking for a small, tranquil place to relax, enjoy the pool and ocean, this is the place for you. I would not recommend this place for twenty-somethings who are looking to party (stick to Cancun). It is also probably not the best choice for people with teenagers, I would imagine they would get bored rather quickly. The entire staff could not have been more pleasant or accommodating. By the end of your stay they will know your name, and bring you whatever you desire, sometimes without having to ask first. The rooms at Isla are beautiful, and the maid service was top notch. There is free wireless Internet and the toiletries are replaced daily, including razor and shaving cream, two tooth brushes with toothpaste, and from what my wife tells me, expensive top of the line Biosilk shampoo, conditioner and lotion. The two person Jacuzzi tub and two person shower are WONDERFUL. The only negative with regard to the room was that the TV volume is very low and you can not get rid of the Spanish subtitles. If we ever get another chance to ditch are kids with their grandparents, we will definitely return to the Isla Mujeres Palace.
