It was a good stay here, value for money definitely. However, the rooms are not sound proof in the slightest and the mattress was so thin so very uncomfortable bed. But the staff were nice and the hotel is well decorated with unique touches

We had a very comfort able room with a balcony.
Great shower.
Breakfast good, and staff very helpful.
This Hotel is in a very good location close to the main hub of town.

We had 5 nights and couldn't fault anything apart from the kids said the pool was cold ! . The staff were the most helpful during our whole trip through Vietnam, nothing was ever a problem or too much trouble . The location of hotel was any easy walk to the night markets and the city centre. Also the kebab stand next to the hotel has the best kebabs in all of Hanoi (in our opinion)

We paid for a family room. 1 king bed and 2 singles. We were given a room with two queen beds and then moved to another room with two queen beds. The recieptionist informs us that we have paid too much for the room. Phoned wot if and they said that they would correct the price from $400 for 3 nights to $150 for 3 nights. Good location and a reasonable price at $150 for three nights.

From check-in, late at night, until check-out we were treated like family. On the first day of our stay we were on a first name basis with the entire staff. Breakfasts were replete with fresh fruit, eggs cooked to order, pastries, as well as local Vietnamese dishes.
4.7
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were surprising large for a small hotel in the heart of the old quarter. Met one guest who has stayed for a month every year for the last 8 years which is testimony in itself
4.7
Great location with good wifi and strong AC. Not the newest structure, but gets the job done. Beds are nice and firm.
4.7
Excellent hotel for price and location within walking distance of Hoan Kiem lake and old quarter staff were excellent friendly and helpful breakfast ok but didn't worry to much because so many little Cafes around there

It was great! Super friendly staff, extremely accommodating, Great location!

The location is old town and the condition of the facility matched. However, the customer service is a 5 star. The staff is excellent. The breakfast in the mornings were high quality. The desk staff made great recommendations on where to eat and even made reservations for my large party of 16 on New Year's Eve. If you want to experience the old Hanoi, this is a good place. If you want more comfort and less horn honking, you might try something outside of Old Hanoi. Nonetheless, our party of 16 had a memorable time thanks to the wonderful staff. The price is right, especially with the complimentary breakfast.

We arranged an airport pickup through the hotel but the taxi driver took us to the sister hotel, but we eventually got to the correct place so no problem, although a little concerning at the time! The family room we had for the first night wasn't the best, lots of noise later at night from the swimming pool and no shower curtain. The second and third nights we got the nicer room (shown in the website) which was much better. Overlooked the street which was nice. Had some cold showers, but afterwards the staff told us that we should have advised them and they would have sorted it for us. The staff were so lovely, we couldn't fault them. Thank you :-) A good hotel for the price, right in the hub of the Old Quarters.

The extremely friendly staff provided exceptional personalised service, ensuring that we really experienced the best of Hanoi. Out tour Advisor at the hotel, Bella, went above and beyond to ensure that we were able to access all the 'excursions and activities we desired including a last minute two night trip to Halong Bay for NYE, fantastic street food tour, market experiences and personally hosted us for great egg coffee. Recommendations for restaurants were very good and she also provided us with great advice on what to do and see in Hoian and which tailors to try. The hotel was not plush but it was certainly clean and comfortable and a perfect location to introduce us to life on the streets in Vietnam and to experience the vibrancy of Hanoi city. The most friendly, helpful and non intrusive service we have experienced at a hotel!

Hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. They upgraded my room to the newer paradise boutique hotel and provided transportation to get there free of charge because the room wasn't ready when I arrived. They didn't need to though, since I checked in before 2pm.
The room was spacious and clean. Only downside was having a room with a balcony means you can hear the noise outside. Nothing ear plugs can't fix though. The bed can be more comfortable...not great if you are a side sleeper, but you can say the same of all the mattresses in Vietnam.
Would stay here again. Close to Hoan Kiem lake and all the souvenir shopping.

We recently stayed at Hanoi Riverside Hotel and hated it so to come here was a pleasure. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by such friendly and helpful staff. The room was big and very clean. Great location - walking distance to most places. 2 min walk to Night Market and a 5 minute walk from the lake. Breakfast was amazing. Only mildly negative thing I'll st is that room was facing the busy street and right outside hotel every morning and afternoon (every hour on Sunday's) a communist radio broadcast plays loud along with music (it tells the locals to clean the streets) this starts at 8am. But hey it's Vietnam very street is loud 24/7

Very friendly smile staff whatever you ask they do more with smile . They changed my room 2 times just to make us happy . For sure I will come back again to meet everyone , because they let me feel they are like my 2nd family away from home . Till now some of them massage me to see how we arrived safely

Very comfortable hotel , colleagues could not have been more helpful. Needs a pool to finish what is otherwise excellent facilities. had a great time here.

This was our last stop in Nam & we booked 1 night by chance. The ladies upgraded us to a massive room which was nice to spread out. The hotel looked after our luggage while we went over night to Halong Bay & booked us a last minute deal for that trip saving us a few $$$s. We returned & stayed 3 more nights based on customer service alone!! Friendly, efficient & nothing was a problem.
Laundry was cheap to do with same day return & the location was awesome. 5 mins to night market or great places to eat in Ma May St.
Definitely recommend this place!!

First night was in a room with no window even though it was supposed to be a pool view room and I had also requested a balcony. This led to a sleepless night but was rectified the following day. The pool water was cool and refreshing, the only time I found it so in Vietnam! Staff were helpful and remembered everyone's names. The old quarter is a rabbit Warren so don't expect nice neatly ordered corridors or streets! Breakfast was fantastic and street food is everywhere. Went out overnight a couple of times and no problems with any belongings left in my room.
4.7
Brilliant service staff were all very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Hotel itself a little old and pool too small and no external light
4.7
Great staff in an hotel in a very convenient location. I'm an older woman travelling alone - staff didn't mind chatting, helping me learn some Vietnamese.
Don't go out during peak hour though. Traffic is completely insane!

Hotel was very clean, staff very friendly and happy to help anyway they could.

As a family of 4 with a 10 & 12 yo we found the family room very large and comfortable - it even had a small lounge area meaning we weren't sitting on beds all the time. The staff were fantastic giving great advice, getting good prices for things, telling us about great restaurants (cheap!) and giving great directions. They even wanted to know how your day went! Breakfasts were great - not a big range but cooked to order, fresh and delicious. Our entire family loved staying here - great value for money!

What a convenient place with all the right amenities and assistance with our travel plans.

very welcoming, clean, nothing was a problem for me or my wife

Standard rooms with A/C. Adequate bathrooms and a semi indoor pool. Amazing staff that are extremely helpful. Awesome location in the Old Quarter. 3 star Recommended !
4.7
Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Small indoor pool which welcome in the 42+ degree temperatures. Breakfasts were ample with a menu choice.

Hotel was a great value and located right in the ancient quarter. Rooms were clean and the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Wireless signal was weak and sporadic on the 5th floor.
