Wonderful stay in Catania

Fantastic view of the Cathedral from our spotlessly clean room, New towels every day Only drawback: the lift doesn’t reach the third floor, but the pleasant staff helped us with our heavy luggage

Catania - One night in this city was plenty

We stayed in Catania for only 1 night of our 14 day trip of Sicily. The accommodations at this venue were renovated with a modern flair and although the space was small, it was very comfortable. The view of the piazza was beautiful. The building has an elevator, making luggage transport easier.

We arrived during a garbage strike in the city. I felt like safety here was questionable. Be prepared that the front entrance of the building is not car accessible and a little tricky to find. We were not prepared for our parking requirements and this made our start a little aggravating. Save yourself this aggravation and make sure you have your parking sourced before your arrival. Also, ensure your parking has security.

Lovely place, great staff and central.

It was central, clean, easy to check in and had good air con!

One note - the car park they recommend is a popular place where scammers often trick people out of money. This happened to me. I know it’s my fault, not the hotel’s but a warning would have been amazing. Read the reviews if parking there yourself. Tell the scammers you are staying for 2 hours and take the 2 euro hit.

Not a safe or good option for out of country travelers that need to actually sleep.

Good shower and hot water. The size of the room is good for two people. Very clean.

We were told we were getting an upgrade except we originally booked an apartment and we’re given a small room instead with a window that they call a balcony. The view is useless unless you’re spending lots of time in your room which we were not. We never slept the first night due to the noises coming from the walls and the stairwell. The second night had the same noise from the plumbing and the stairwell so it could be an issue with all their rooms. We could even hear people attempting to unlock the door into the hallway. They refused to allow us to have the room we paid for and said it was unavailable even though it was empty. They pretended to not know about the noise but then told me the original room I booked was much worse than the room they made us stay in due to construction. At the end when I tried to speak with a staff member about our stay she tried to tell me I didn’t know what I was talking about and no one has ever mentioned anything I said before. She was condescending and deceptive and I wouldn’t stay here again solely based on her treatment of us.

Pleasant stay

The hotel was in the heart of catania and reachable for everything. Comfortable room and very clean hotel.

We are in the 2022! Showers should not be fixed it was crazy trying to have a shower with very low pressure and little water coming out. The hotel needs to think that people should have the flexibilty as being fixed or not.

very pleasant short stay

We stayed here in the same room 2 years ago and this stay was no different. Excellent location and excellent service for the price. A very small lift (just 2 people) takes you to reception on the 3rd floor, something to bear in mind if you have large luggage.

One night in Catania

Room was nice and clean and comfy and well situated. Allesandra was extremely helpful and assisted with all my questions.

There is a small lift. It goes to the second floor and I had to carry my very heavy suitcase up the last flight of stairs. This is only a problem if you have a heavy suitcase though. (And it was extremely hot outside) . However, the lovely aircon quickly made up for the bit of effort. Also the photo in the advert shows a bigger room with view on the square. Ours was smaller with view to a side street. Not the end of the world, but just an observation.

It was close proximity to everything. Clean and while it was small, it was comfortable.

There was zero staff. It said free breakfast on the booking, but there was no breakfast. Check in was going on a scavenger hunt for the key. The person in charge sent an email with directions on how to get in but no phone number to call. Very strange. This was more like an Airbnb than a hotel. My room was in a building with permanent tenants.

A great welcome to catania, a great start of our visit to sicily

The hostess Vanessa was excellent, really superb. She got in touch before we arrived, and gave us transport options from the airport to the hotel. When we got there, she was really warm. We arrived very early, she stored our luggage and called us as soon as the rooms were ready, long before the official check-in time. Her staff were excellent, even though they couldnt speak english, they found ways of communicating with us. At check out, the team was again exceptional, going well beyond our expectations. Vamessa even agreed to receive our luggage that had been lost by the airline should it be delivered after our departure. The location is perfect, right in the central part and overlooking the Duomo. The rooms were quiet, air conditioning worked perfectly, perfect wifi.

Great view and location in the heart of Catania, small improvements needed.

The view and location were great and the room was very clean and modern. The staff communicated over WhatsApp, gave good instruction and direction and were very kind.

The hairdryer was broken and the door caught when you opened it. Didn’t see the staff during our stay.

Very nice and clean room! Everything is new! We have a little problem finding the door of the building, but its on the left side of the square. The host is very nice! The view is very very beautiful!
