Loved the suites and how they were laid out across the property, very praceful but close to the facities too. Also loved having the option of adult only premium areas as well as all the other facities. All the staff were superb, special shout out to Anna Paula and Esther at the pool bar who were fantastic.

The room was fantastic!!! We loved the adult area zones, the staff were super friendly! We did book all inclusive but as we only stayed 6 nights this did not include the 2 restaurants in the hotel. That was frustrating as it was not made clear when booking the all inclusive option.

This was our second stay this year at the Elba. We had a late arrival and staff had specially arranged for a late buffet for us. Reception staff are excellent, and we had champagne & chocolates in our room. We had asked if we could be near our suite we had in February and they were able to accommodate. Being further away from the main facilities it was very quiet and peaceful. We loved relaxing in the private terrace of the suite, which was generally clean but there were some previous occupants hair in the shower drain! It's a pity there are no drawers, but there is plenty of cupboard space for clothes. The hairdryer is in the bathroom which means a lot of standing for those of us with long hair. It's a shame the safe and nespresso pods cost extra. Breakfast is good and also lunch at the adults only pool. What a pity that smoking is permitted in this food area which marred it for us. Another shame is the plastic chairs in the Adults only restaurant. I notice that the children's restaurant had more comfortable chairs. Also the dress code was not enforced in the Restaurant, which is a shame. Evening food was variable, and with me as a Vegetarian and hubby not liking fish, eating some nights we struggled, but always found something. Overall, a lovely hotel with friendly accommodating staff. With a few changes could probably get 5*. We would definitely return.

We checked in to this Hotel at approximately 3.00pm, we still had to wait another hour for room to be ready.
We arrived at resort at about 3.00pm after 4hour+ flight from hell plus 1 hour transfer from airport
to find the room was not ready and had to wait a further 1 hour to get into room. Our immediate impression was there was an lot of kids around ( ADULTS ONLY ?)
2 on the four restaurants you have to pay a 15 euro supplement. The food served was not what i would class as a 4 star resort. Also you have to pay 4 euro's a day for safe even on all inclusive tariff.
The hotel is Advertised as an Adult resort but this is a very loose term, your rooms are in a adult section of the resort which is closed away from the rest via locked gates, this side has a small adult only swimming pool and deck chair area with and bar and snack bar. All other amenities ie restaurants main large swimming pools bar areas are for families, There is a restaurant and bar upstairs that is for adults although we found the choice of food was more limited to the other restaurant.
If you do want an adults only resort i would not recommend this place.
The room itself was very nice except for a couple of design flaws ie the TV was situated in the lounge area but this proves difficult to watch while in bed although not impossible, also be careful when getting clothes out of the wardrobe with bare feet as the floor mounted door stop is placed right in front of wardrobe, otherwise a nice room.

Arrived at the hotel on Christmas Eve, checking was very easy. The reception staff were helpful and described all the amenities to me. The first question I asked was about the room (twin or double beds?). It was a twin. I asked if that could be changed, and it was that day without an issue. When I got to the room I found it very clean. There was a separate section where I had a sofa and TV, sliding doors leading to a patio area with chairs and two sun loungers. The only criticism I have is the safe in the room, and to be honest I haven’t travelled in Europe often; but having paid for “Premium Suites”. I would not expect to pay extra to keep your valuables safe.
The adults only pool and bar area was very quiet. The staff were very attentive, helpful, friendly and funny. The lunch was similar to pub food, but what I had was very nice. Evening dinner was in the adults only dining room. It was a buffet style restaurant with plenty of choice for fresh and pre-cooked food. There was a wait for the freshly cooked fish or meat, but that wasn’t an issue for me. I cannot comment on the evening entertainment as I did not attend any of the shows. The adults only bar was good.
In the morning, breakfast was served in the adults only dining area; it was again a buffet style breakfast and with plenty of choice. The omelette/egg station was very popular, with chef Jose being the star of the show. Nothing was too much for him. This was also true of all the staff throughout my stay.

Hotel is new, clean and modern. However, it's under staffed, the service to get anything is ridiculoisly slow, the food is terrible - greasy, limited options, cold (the "al la carte" speciality restaurants are also not worth a visit), and if you want an adult only hotel, this certainly isn't! We stayed in the Alba premium suites (which is now clear having been there) - a separate "adult" area within the Alba Royal village hotel, yet, there were children aged 12 or so staying in this area.

Still looking new and well kept. Staff very friendly and clearly enjoy their work. Bungalows have lovely terraces for sitting out but can be very breezy.
