A perfect stay from minute one! Scott greeted us, gave us a great tour and we settled in. We made a reservation for dinner and it was an absolutely amazing tasting menu. A beautiful room, excellent service and the food…I cannot say enough about the dishes! The chef is a genius!
Our room was comfortable, one of the best beds we have ever slept in. Breakfast in the Flower Room started the morning on a high note.
Beautiful grounds, great people! For a last minute choice, we hit the jackpot. I highly recommend the lovely trip on 81N of you are in the Valley. We will be back!

We stayed in the Wallis Suite and it's lovely with a nice bedroom and large dressing/sink area that has a beautiful wood floor and then a bathroom with heated floor and nice large shower with waterfall and traditional shower heads. Oh and a great claw-foot tub for bathing in the dressing area. The Sonos sound system is amazing with Bose speakers over the bed and in the dressing area. The grounds are great too - enjoyed watching the chickens and horses and sharing wine in the screened-in gazebo. Included breakfast is great with fresh eggs from the chickens. We saw our mint being picked moments before being served in our parfait. Dinner at the Houndstooth restaurant served by Chef Smith is not to be missed. Oh, and the introduction upon arrival giving us a brief tour and history accompanied by a glass of champagne let's you know the right away that you're in good hands for your entire stay. This is our second visit and will not be the last.

Special and high end B&B, delicious 3 course breakfast with with fresh eggs from the chickens on the property. Very welcoming with luxurious touches and beautiful common areas. The service is first rate and the 5 course dinners are wonderful. Very accomodating to any dietary restrictions. It was our second visit.

This place is excellent! It is definitely one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. Met at the door by the hostess, introduced to the chef for our evening meal (pay the expensive price for the experience of dinner!), given a tour of the house, and shown to our lovely room! The breakfast view is beautiful and the breakfast was 5 star. Just an awesome experience!

NO TV. No evening news, no morning news. I had no idea there'd be no TV. And my internet connection was a bit spotty. Other than that, the inn, and the innkeepers, were great, the accomodations and the service were top-notch.

Two night stay in the Windsor suite which was absolutely lovely. Dinner and breakfast meals were sublime. A truly amazing spot, made even more romantic and winter wonderland-esque with the early Dec snow. First rate!

We were greeted with a drink and a tour of the manor and then met the chef as he prepared dinner for that evening. Just wonderful service throughout our stay in the Wallis Suite. We had fun watching the chickens (eggs are used for breakfast) and the horses and enjoyed a walk through the extensive property. Later we enjoyed some wine in the screened-in gazebo near the pool. We got ready for dinner while listening to our favorite music from top notch speakers in the ceiling in the bathroom and bedroom using their iPad/Sonos setup. Dinner (5 courses) was terrific. A cauliflower-five ways first course was amazing with great flavors in each bite that varied, yet complimentary. A great wine list including several from Virginia wineries. Breakfast in the a.m. was also excellent. Overall a wonderful experience for both the stay and the dining.
