Rooms are always so comfortable and spotlessly clean. The nicest part is being welcomed by Gerry on the reception desk. Such a friendly ,kind face and lovely nature. She is an asset to this hotel and we love to see her looking happy in her work.

Location and good breakfast
Having stayed at this hotel 5 times over the past 20 years I have to say the rooms are in need of a refurbishment.the room we occupied had tired furniture and broken shower porcelain shower knobs. The £15 per night parking is expensive having risen from £10 per night. Hotel Du Vin I expect a much higher standard considering the prices charged. Hopefully you will be carrying out a hotel refurbishment ASAP. Thank you

The property is situated in a beautiful part of the city and close enough to walk into the centre. The staff were incredibly helpful and parking was easy (be quick so you don’t miss out on a spot)!
The room was a touch too warm but luckily wasn’t too hot outside, I couldn’t find the thermostat.

Reception staff very helpful
Understaffed in the restaurant for breakfast. Rubbish continental breakfast and very poor cooked breakfast. 1st room not clean and smelt. First room-paid for basement room. I understand this is one on the "cheaper" rooms but the noise overhead (past midnight) and from 6 in the morning was terrible. Scraping chairs, moving furniture etc, the room smelled damp and the bath wasn't cleaned properly. At 7 in the morning, 2 maintenance men were sorting the room next to us out and they were talking to each other extremely loudly. We asked to change rooms. Same category but a LOT nicer. Also, you can actually book car spaces even though the website says its on a first come first served basis.

Good food and wine
Helpful front desk
Compensated for room issues
Changed suites twice because of room issues:
Ceiling stained by water leak
Missing security locks
Blocked shower drain
Loose toilet fixtures
Ill fitting blinds
Drain smell

Staff found us a parking space which made a huge difference in the rain.
Watched rugby match in the room before going to a party so a full mini bar would have been nice rather than empty fridge.

Hotel is clean, rooms are huge, hallway carpets look a bit dated 😞 and they allow pets in the rooms, so cannot guarantee there wasnt a 🐕 in my room before
Breakfast is great, staff are very helpful
For a tourist town it's a good price
Water is very hot in the rooms so be careful with children
Location is spot on
As above
I never ate the evening meal at the hotel so cannot comment
Upon arrival I had to show the price I had booked as they tried to charge me more
But this was rectified without any issues
Charging extra for an extra bed in the room is terrible 😔 but obviously the hotels policy and not the staff, they were all brilliant.

No mini bar or change to upgrade my room

The hotel is located in a fashionable part of Harrogate opposite to a park, with a wide thoroughfare and town centre a short walk. Car parking is limited although we had no problems with a charge of £15.00 per day. We had booked a junior suite with breakfast and evening meals included. The first room we were shown was very tired and the window view was a very stark brick wall. We declined and were offered another in the loft area. A little quirky but much better and fortunately with air conditioning which was very much appreciated.
Our stay was for 3 nights. The restaurant served as a Bistro with limited dinner food options if you are there for more than 2 nights. With a limited menu and each night major items “off”, it was difficult to find something actually wanted. We did complain as one should and were offered and accepted a small recompense. This hotel is part of a chain that offers “French” styling but falls very short in the quality we expected. The menus are formulated by the grand titled “Head Chef” and are replicated throughout the organisation. A house salad it transpires is a plate of lettuce!!

Great location and very friendly helpful staff
Our room was over some sort of extractor as a pump was turning on and off all night. You did very kindly take some money off the bill, but would have been good to be warned and might have tried to move rooms at the beginning.
The food in the restaurant was a little disappointing.

The hotel room and breakfast were lovely.
I had a pre booked dinner included in the booking. It was £50 in total. When we ordered the steak it was £24.95 each but had to pay an additional charge of £14 each for the steak. Which was abit of a rip off to be honest and not nice steak either. I would recommend not booking dinner in your stay because certainly is not worth it. Your better off just getting the breakfast and room. It was a massive disappointment.

location and staff. Jerome is just lovely. excellent food too.
cold water tap not working in bathtub. heating did not work. no beside drawers. very claustrophobic shower! no arm chair, mini bar empty and shabby. not enough hanging space for clothes. no shaving mirror.

Deluxe double room was spacious and well appointed. Bed was comfortable and bathroom very luxurious. Not the largest breakfast buffet, but food was delicious!
Decor starting to look a little worn in places. Floors creak badly, both in room and in corridor outside.

reception didn’t explain clearly. they knew where everything was so answered queries as if you knew where things were. also, the base of the sleigh bed was dusty
