Enjoyable

The location was perfect. Having the country park on the door step was great for morning dog walks. The breakfast was very good and the hosts were very friendly.

Access from the car park to the house is a challenge with luggage and a dog. Steep and quite uneven.

Lisa and Christophe are great hosts, they have a lovely B&B and Torquay is really worth a visit.

Lisa and Christophe are the perfect hosts. Friendly and helpful and making sure you have all you need. It has to be mentioned that the breakfast is outstanding (you can order it the day before) and prepared with care by Christophe. He is a trained chef and also French, so his food is English with a French twist. We all liked it very much. We enjoyed a nice 20 minute walk from the B&B to the marina. Torquay has a lot to offer. We visited Brixham by ferry, Greenway (National Trust) and Totnes. We will definitely visit again.

Best B&B in Torquay

The Charterhouse is a lovely B&B located on Cockington Lane, which is a short walk from the Sea Front. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities are provided, and each room has a small fridge. The breakfast is amazing, and you can have as much or as little as you would like. There is also free on-site parking. Lisa and Cristophe are amazing hosts, and you are met with a smile each morning and anything you need they will try their best to accommodate. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Lisa & Christophe we’re warm , friendly and welcoming. The room we had was fantastic! Clean, warm and cosy. The bathroom and shower was lovely. The breakfast was lovely too. (Especially the fruit salad). The location is ideal. Close to the beach but away from the noise so nice and peaceful and relaxing.

A great location and very accommodating hosts.

The lady was very polite, she had a friendly personality and was prompt to deal with any request we had. The B&B is in a great location enabling us to head towards Torquay or Paignton and beyond very quickly. it is located in a quiet area and the parking facilities were great too.

We was happy with everything and would certainly return.

Loved the owners ,and breakfast the small room we had wasn't up to scratch.

Breakfast ,and location for cockington Park

Garden room ,no chair to put clothes on ,no extraction fan and only 2 very small windows that would open so room stayed damp, large window wouldn't open , Wall had a huge hole that was packed with tissue or something and the paper folded back over ,the room wasn't as good as expected.

Stay at the Charter House

The room was very comfortable - with a nice view of the gardens, both the room and bathroom were very clean had plenty of space. The breakfasts were all excellent - with plenty of choices. The location is ideal to explore the Torbay area and Cockington can reached on foot. There is plenty of space to park the car off road and this is a real bonus in Torquay.

Lovely quiet relaxing property with fabulous views

We stayed in the suite on the top floor which was a lovely space with a fabulous view across the bay. The hosts were very welcoming and breakfast was deliciously cooked to order, with good quality ingredients and fabulous homemade seville marmalade.

The property is a guest house (not a hotel) so there is no bar or restaurant on site. However, it is a pleasant 15 min walk into the town centre along the coast.

Perfect place to stay if you don’t want to go abroad!

The grounds were beautiful, the room overlooked the garden and we had a gorgeous view of the sea. Lisa was a breath of fresh air and welcomed us with ease and comfort into our stay. defin it let reccomend 😊

We liked the hospitality, the facilities, the location and the tranquility. The location is away from the hustle and bustle of Torquay but within easy walking distance of the beach, train station, marina and shopping centre. The main road is at the lower end of Cockington Lane where you can get a bus if preferred.
