Overall had a fantastic stay. Would definitely consider staying again if I return to the city.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Exceeded my expectations. Quality of breakfast can be improved. Location is excellent, close to most tourist sites, walkable to restaurants, downtown.

good location, people working at hotel pleasant, room clean.

Booked a King bed got 2 Queens. After we pointed this out, they said we could move to another room. We said no and stayed where we were.

Would have liked another chair to sit in., in the room. Everything was fine.

It was an amazing experience, will visit again.

The hotel staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing too and if I remember it was Cheryl who served the breakfast. She was very nice. The location was great, we walked to take our tickets and cruise, just few minutes walk. The parking also was very convenient.

Done the job but not the best place to stay

Convenient and comfortable

Balcony was not very clean. Bugs on the balcony railings. Looked dirty. Paper cups. No milk. Receptionist on check out was a bit frosty when I had a charge query.

Pay the room for river view 480$ per night and didn’t get the room as described on the reservation. Won’t go back

Staff were good.

I booked the room for river view and i got parking/pool view from the room. I pay the room quietly expensive and I didn’t get as describe on the reservation. I would not return or recommend to anyone. I find the pool inside is small for the hotel .

Great location but a very unprofessional manager who has to be fired.

Very good location and the staff very helpful except the rude manager.

I’m a loyal and frequent Holiday Inn customer and member but this time I was disappointed because of the cleanliness of the room and mainly the unprofessional hotel’s manager.

Very bad experience.

I liked the breakfast.

I paid for a room with a view of the river but instead I got a room with a view of the industrial area. There was a lot of noise from very early in the morning. The staff checked in someone else in my room at 3:30am and they tried to enter the room for a long time. In addition, I got many phone calls asking me questions and disturbing my sleep. The staff were very inconsiderate.

I won’t be coming back here again

The beds are comfortable

I didn’t like the fact that I had to pay $30 for parking in order to have my vehicle there and there was nothing that indicated parking was extra. I did not like the fact that I booked the room for three people, paid more for breakfast and then found out. I was only entitled to have breakfast for two. So I sent my daughters down for breakfast and because we had a long day ahead of us, they brought a plate back each that they were threatened by the staff that they were bringing food back for anybody else they would find out and be charged. I don’t eat breakfast. I booked a room with two queen beds and ended up with two double beds My daughters could not find the pool, which is why we booked this other ones When I went to leave, I could not get the exterior gate open, so I called and instead of somebody talking to me, they answered, then hung up and then opened the gate

$30 a night for outdoor lot parking but they made it sound like parking was free. No hot tub.

Perfect downtown location

Great easy check in..the location is perfect and once the vehicle is parked, it stays until we are ready to head home. Friendly helpful staff, clean and rooms big and cozy. And fantastic waterfront views

We will be staying here from now on whenever we visit Kingston.

We didn't have the breakfast due to dietary restrictions, but the extraordinary location and views, particularly on the south facing side, immediate access to all dowtown attractions, restaurants and the university, the new, beautifully modern, carefully maintained and cleaned, spacious rooms and balconies, all far exceeded our expectations, especially considering the Waterfront Holiday charged considerably less than the other downtown hotels I had looked at. We were actually kind of shocked. We were just sorry we couldn't stay another night!

There was nothing I didn't like. I expected to be up all night with noise throughout the hotel from the many guests who were there for the Vanier Cup football game. Instead, there was absolute silence in our hotel room, and I ended up having one of the best sleeps I've had in a long time.

Clean large size bed, with essential electronics like microwave

Does not have kettle for hot water , only have dirty coffee machines where inside is all stained and never been cleaned. Washroom is not bright enough needs upgrade renovation to look modern

-Great location very close to the main streets and City Hall -Good size of the room and bathroom, lake view, very clean -Room with microwave, mini bar, coffee machine -2 courtesy water bottles -Parking in front of the hotel has discount for guests -Mini market inside the hotel -Good breakfast

-Very noisy AC in the bedroom -Although the breakfast is buffet style, you have to ask some basic items (such as coffee and water) to a waiter/waitress

Sorry not too good. You had to pay for parking - not all hotel charge.

The beds are too high. Need help getting up on them. Could have used a stool. Sorry have hip problem The menu not a lot of variety. The pool steps are too high for someone with a handicap. Also the machine to get out of the parking lot is too confusing

Good location but poor customer service

Excellent location -- this is the best part of the hotel. It is right at the waterfront, which is a very walkable area with many shops, restaurants, and even the ferry pier. Housekeeping staff was friendly.

Do not bother reserving a room at this hotel with booking.com unless you pay online. If you chose to pay at the hotel, the rates are completely different. It is frustrating that the hotel would not honour the amount that was confirmed with us via booking.com. I have never had this happen in all my years of using this platform to make reservations... The staff at the front desk had terrible customer service. They were not forthcoming with basic information upon our check in (for example, letting us know about the security deposit), and once we asked, they were condescending and treated us as though we should know better. Most of our frustrations would have been alleviated if the staff taken the initiative to share basic information with us from the get-go. Overall, the front staff was not very warm or welcoming -- there was very little acknowledgement any time we approached the desk, no hello or goodbye from the staff standing by the door... For a place that purports to be a 4-star hotel, it is quite shocking.

Location is good. Staff all good. Hotel is adequate.

Way over priced. With parking, it came out at $440 a night. It just isn't a $400+ a-night hotel.
