Nice room with fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Location was great and the Marina was very nice!
The first receptionist that welcome us was not very friendly and cold. Our room was not ready and we had to come back later but there are nice manners to say that.
a little deception on the room with Marina view. The hallway to all the rooms was just in front of the room window so we need to close the shutters down, so no real marina view as expected.
The Parking price quite expensive USD 29 per night, a budget if you stay several days

The price was definitely affordable for us, especially considering San Diego pricing. We enjoyed the location of The Dana in relationship to San Diego and nearby Mission Bay. Everything felt close by, only a 10-20 minute drive to get to where you need to go.
For the price, we were (not expecting, but) hoping for a just a little bit more out of The Dana. Parking is an additional $20/night. The building's wooden construction made creaking noises every so often. Even though checkout is at 11am, we had housekeeping knock on our door 3 seperate times between 9:45am - 10:15am asking to clean the room.

Humid rooms
Not super clean. Hairs over shower. Floor carpet humid with some suspicious spots…

Great spot if you are going to see world. Upgrade your package for $20.00 a day. Includes 50% off breakfast buffet, shuttle.service, 2 welcome drinks ( alcoholic or no alcoholic) per day. It's a good deal because parking at sea world is $32.00 a day or $53.00 if you want to park close. That along this upgrade paid for the parking at SeaWorld. Shuttle drops you off close to park entrance and picks you up as well. Great grounds, pool and on-site restaurant/bar.
I would pick a room with a bay view and not a marina view. Docks as you would imagine have an unpleasant smell.

Location was great. View from the room was nice.
The room smelled like dog pee.
Sheets and pillows were not very nice, especially for the price.
The pool and jacuzzi bottom was slimy.
Not enough seating for everyone at the pool.

Great staff! Great location! Great on-site amenities!
Upon checking in, we discovered two bathing suits hanging from shower pole (uwwww). Obviously, this caused me concerned about the attentiveness of the cleaning crew. I only requested that someone remove the suits and maybe clean the bathroom. Not only did they apologize, they relocated our room to location with a better view of the bay. Our room was in walking distance to their fabulous pool-side resturant (We ate there twice) and I enjoyed their exercise room. Now I know which rooms to request in the future.
Great location! Great staff! Great on-site facilities.
Wasn't clear about which rooms have a "bay view", but now I understand the lay-out. Will pay the extra for the bay access. The patio gates were permanently closed, which surprised me, because when we previously stayed here, we brought our personal bikes and were able to easily access our room from the path by going directly to our room.

Location
3 out of 6 days housekeeping missed the room cleaning.
Parking fee to high
Resort fee not worth it. There is no resort or extras that you get that wouldn’t be the same or more in a different location. (Towels, jacuzzi or heated pool)

Staff was great. The location is perfect. The resort is very clean and secure. We felt very comfortable. We will definitely stay there again. I highly recommend this place.
No comment...I have nothing to complain about. We went for our daughter's birthday and it went perfect. Overall our stay was great.

For what the price was it wasn’t worth it. The only thing I really liked about it was the location. Location was absolutely great since it’s so close to the Mariana and sea world as well. But we could hear absolutely everything in our room, our AC was so beyond loud when coming on and off. Overall, wasn’t left wanting to come back just because we felt the price was alot for the basic hotel that it was.

The room was a big enough for my group of 5. We had a balcony with a beautiful view of Mission Bay. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean.
We used the hot tub that evening and it was a bit crowded, as was the pool but the towels were well stocked and the area was clear of any debris. It was a nice atmosphere.
This hotel is very family friendly and the location is great for many activities both on and off the water.
I would consider staying again, maybe in the off season, as prices in the summer are pretty expensive.
The hot tub could have been hotter. Parking is a little challenging but it was high season in San Diego so the hotel was full.

Good value. Attractive grounds and convenient location.

I like that the property was next to everything that we wanted to do. The pool and Jacuzzi was pretty cool to.
There were spiders in the bathroom. There were stains on the boxsprings. We were paying $400 a night, and breakfast wasn’t even included.

8 Minute drive from Mission Beach and Belmont Park. Nice views. Clean and comfortable rooms.
More on site food options would be nice. Parking was tight.

Location
Room was in very poor condition. Carpet was extremely dirty, room smelled wet and moldy. AC was not cooling off. Odor was horrible. We got back to room a bit late, so kids fell asleep and had no chance to let the hotel know until check out . Paid too much for poor quality hotel.

Location was ideal for us visiting the beach and SeaWorld. Pool was nice and pool staff was good.
Beds hard, pillows too tall, overall feeling of aged facility. $23 breakfast buffet!! Coffee only available until 7:30am?!

One good thing is there was a jacuzzi and a heated pool but misleading to be the spa.
The parking was not included with the resort fee. Witch makes no since to me. There is no spa. Misleading me the whole entire time on the map and what is available. No spa! No bar by the pool! I thought I was getting a garden view. Oh no not an option even though it's the one stated online. Only reason I booked this room was for the spa and the view. It completely mislead me. I was disappointed with dinner.... They actually took care of us though.

. I liked we could open windows; I love it when the lamp has plug ins for electronic charging. Check in and check out was good experience. The restaurant was very good. We ate outside Friday night, service good, the one man music show was awesome, very talented guy, really enjoyed the evening. Our waitress was very good.
The room was average and adequate. The pillows were horrible. Huge pieces of foam; I brought my own pillow so no issue, however, my daughter in law was waking all night because the pillows were so uncomfortable, almost built for discomfort . I would throw those pillows in the garbage if they were in my home; I wouldn't even take to them to Good Will. People come to sleep well, what's the problem with providing decent pillows?????Mattress was okay. I sleep on a pillow top at home and was concerned Dana mattress would not suit me but I slept fine-though they seemed worthy of Motel Six. My room was right over the pool, Friday night the movie was so loud till ten p.m., people come to rest in quiet and many need to have that quiet long before ten p.m. Seemed pretty stupid except for those with kids I guess.

I loved the view, property, and staff we were all wonderful.
I didn't like that I spent money on the room but then I had to pay $30 a day for parking ($60 Total) which should be included, I understand paying the additional resort fee of $32 dollars a day( $64 total) for the use of the property, pool etc. but to have to also pay for parking seems a little much to me.
