hotel is in great shape for an older design but classic
well kept up with large well thought out rooms and great bathrooms
Food is not very good or interesting
no service on the beach
Golf restaurant closed early so no food or drinks available
too many tourist type groups not very exclusive feeling
very expensive for what they are offering

We stayed in the main tower and from the moment we checked in- this place was exceptional! Fresh POG juice, lei’s, beads, friendly valet. Our room was immaculate with all the bells and whistles- robe, slippers, loccitane products, etc. The bed and linens were SO comfortable—and I am very picky.
The resort has a private beach with all snorkel, SUP, boogie boards, towels, lounge chairs, umbrellas, etc. It was very easy not to leave the property grounds and be spoiled.
There was live music which was delightful and they usually have a hula dancer which we missed because it was Easter at The Copper Bar.
As with any hotel- drinks are heavily iced/watered down. The copper bar food /dinner was meh (dried out fish and tough steak) and pricey. And yes, this place is NOT cheap! However, it was worth it for us. The bar staff at beach was also meh…not as friendly as the Copper Bar staff but they were very busy.

The Beach!
The cost.

The location is fantastic. The teams, especially at the restaurants, are really nice. Live music every night is a wonderful to touch.
The fact that people are “reserving” spots on the long chairs,at the beach, by leaving their towels even before breakfast. In addition, it is hard to see during the day which spots are available, as everybody leave their towels. (no one enforce the “bring back your towels”, and no one remove them until the very end of the day.)
The system to get a table at the restaurant, while you are a patron at the hotel, does not allow you to make reservation one day to the next. We were only able to have a couple of reservations. All the other days, we arrived early to be able to have some of the walk-ins spots. You are pretty much like any vacationers on the island: you go to open table and hopefully you can make a reservation. (we also tried to reserve table through the concierge desk: it was even less helpful that using open table!).
We have never been to a place where you cannot make a reservation at one of the restaurants at the hotel we stay.
