Loved it. Had a great spontaneous trip

It was great for us to get there late and still be able to use the pool. It was nice after feeling gross after the trip. The management let us stay longer than it is normally open. They were very friendly and very kind

The parking was a bit off (crowded and oddly placed)

Short

It was budget and clean. It had air conditioning and a non skid mat in the bath for the shower.

Needs a bit of tender loving care. Would be nice to have a matching full set of cutlery and crockery including glasses and wine glasses.

A cheap place to stay if you're stranded in Vernon.

The front desk agent was friendly when I checked in, I guess he lives above the office. They were too distracted to even say thank you on my way out, though. I waited a few minutes then came back, there was some kind of fuss with a regular so I just left the keys and walked away. The towels appeared clean. The small A/C unit worked fine.

The floor was filthy, my feet were black after walking around for just a few moments without my sandals. The cups... they were brand new, so brand new that they had dollar store stickers on them: and not the bottom, like around the lip of the cups - you could tell they were never once washed after purchase. The microwave didn't work. The TV was unable to operate regular cable, only by signing into a personal streaming account - and I didn't try that so I don't know if that worked, either.

Would not recommend, terrible customer service.

Not only did booking.com take payment, but the property reservation desk person called me to inform me that they not only DID NOT have the room I had booked, and did not know how to take payment for the room from Booking, so I would have to pay AGAIN. When I called the manager to ask for a refund, he was rude, did nothing to make the situation right and told me I would have to go through booking.com to get the refund. WORST customer service ever, would NOT recommend.

Comfortable beds but could be a lot cleaner!

The beds were very comfortable and as we were there to move my parents and the motel was a short drive from their home it was very convenient

The place could have been much cleaner. The bathroom especially! The tub bottom was literally streaked with black. A good scrub brush and some comet would have done wonders for it. Ditto for the mouldy spots on the grout. This was a 2 bedroom suite with a fridge and stove, dishes, etc. The fridge had not been wiped out after the previous occupant had used it, so definitely not disinfected. There was a coffee maker but no coffee or filters provided. A tee towel or paper towels would have helped also. This is an older motel so the carpets need to be removed/replaced with something easier to keep clean and the entire cleaning regimen could use an overhaul. Covid or not! My husband had stayed in a room at the other end of the place 2 years previous and said it was much cleaner at that time and that there were different owners then also. Also, we were there 7 days and never had staff in the room to change sheets or clean or offer fresh towels. We finally asked for clean towels a couple of days before we left!

Cheap stay in Vernon

Located nearby shopping and restaurants. Parking lot is not big but organized. Staff was friendly. I have received good rate because booked in advance.

Room was not clean enough especially floor, but maybe because of wildfire situation effected who knows. No incentives like free coffee or tea options.

Kitchen space with all utensils. independence of cooking your own food for kids. backyard and swimming pool. location was great

they need to change carpets. would be great to have an extra couch in the living room

The curtains kept the room dark

Dozens of Dead and alive bugs on the deck toilet was loose cracked floor tiles, no restocking of coffee supplies or coffee and no room maintenance during the day..web page pictures not accurate

Proximity to downtown/highway. Many restaurants/shops are accessible by walk. There's a swimming pool, but it's busy, we didn't use it

Not cleaned well (stained towels, previous guests hair, stained tub, dirty coffee maker).Rooms desperately require repairs ( piling ceiling and sideboard, broken hair dryer leaking shower, missing bulbs). Staff is helpful with solving problems but not friendly or hospitable. It was not worth paying 140+tax. I understand that accommodations are pricy in Vernon, but better to pay extra and stay in a nice place.

The motel is old, which is fine, but I expected it to be clean.

Bathrooms were dirty, bed sheets had yellow stains, bed sheets were not fitted around the mattress (had to that ourselves)

A Hit and A Miss

The location was perfect; excellent staff and they’re pet friendly. The bed was very comfortable.

Manager said that, due to Covid19, they only cleaned between guests.. understandable, however.. there were doggy nose prints on the window; spots of a tar-like substance on the laminate floor; only one bulb in the bathroom four bulb fixture; water damage around the tub; several remnants of used soap bars on bathroom window sill; etc. In spite of the above, we would stay there again., this is a strange learning curve type of year and I think the hotel is doing the best they can under the circumstances.

Nothing. The pictures are a combination of two rooms. Save your money and stay elsewhere

It was a dump. Dirty rooms. A fake eyelash in the bathroom and hair all over the floor. One room was very hot - was told by the owner that it was my fault because I didn't check to see that the air conditioning was working when I checked in. I don't know how everyone else had a good stay and clean rooms. Seems a little mysterious.

When we got there they didn't have our reservations from booking.com. Lucky there were rooms available but not the ones we requested. I booked way ahead in early March 2021 and asked for the 3 rooms to be on the ground floor and all close together. I sent booking.com a message about this but received no response about what happened to my confirmed reservations. Then near the rooms they gave us (backside of the motel), there were pigeons every where, they poop all over and lay their eggs in the stairwells. We complained and although the owner tried to clean it up it made our stay very unpleasant. The main reason we booked was the pool for the kids but we didn't use it because of the pigeons flying over it and didn't look appealing at all. Glad it was only 2 nights and we spent most of it with family who live in Vernon.

Will never stay there again.

The bed was comfy! The location is really good, near to everything we need when staying in Vernon. The pool is also a good feature and add value.

When I arrived there, I had to wait for about 15 minutes to be helped for the only guy working there. I got my key and walked to the room. When I entered there, the room was hot like hell and the AC was not working. I asked the staff to help me, they said I was turning it on wrongly and it would take time to cool down the room. My TV was also not working and there was no remote. After about 5 minutes the staff went to the room, realized the AC was off the plug and the plug was outside the room, where guests have no access. About the remote, we never got it. He was only one to clean the floor, take care of the rules, do check ins and check outs, but there is no reason to act like he was doing me a favour and like I was the wrong one in that situation.

Check-in was a mess, was asked to write down my cc info on paper after paying... weird. Pool wasn't heated. No outlet to plug in the mini fridge.

Disappointing

For last minute it was cheaper then other places had air conditioning and lots of grocery stores around. Butcher and coffee shop.

Charged twice so make sure if you book through online or an app and have prepaid that you show the receipt when checking in otherwise it is not a deposit they are taking but payment. Staff is not the friendlyest or helpful. In the room, non-smoking room that smelled like smoke. We were told that if we smoked into he room we would be charged. We don't smoke. Had the staff actually come to the room to make sure we were not charge when we left. No smoke alarm. Coffee pot was definitely not cleaned from last stay. Microwave was falling apart. Tub looked like it could use a good scrub. No coffee or tea for the coffee pot. Toilet would just run and run and run. You can hear everything, from people coming and going, the rooms beside and above, and the rattle of the metal staircase outside. Not in a desirable neighborhood.

Nothing at all.

Everything, particularly that the information about the motel in the advertisement was completely inaccurate. The only think accurate was the address and the structure of the motel. It looked nothing like the advertisement and the reviews were not my experience. There were burn holes in the blankets, huge chips in the sink, dirty ash trays on the ledges, people were drinking and smoking on the balcony. I did not feel comfortable or safe. There is no one in the front office. You have to use the phone to call someone to the front while standing outside because the front office door is locked. I spent less than 5 minutes in the room and left to find other accommodations and ended up paying for 2 rooms in 1 night.

The price was pretty good Everything worked - no issues You get what you pay for.

Not the most comfortable rooms. As advertised- it is very dated (but also cracks in the walls) The staff did not greet me - he Stayed on the phone while processing my transaction and barely said a word. Not very friendly

Location is very good as it is close to many downtown amenities.

The place is dirty. Bed and toilet were okay but everything else is not kept clean. I know it is not a four star hotel but it should still be kept clean.

Book somewhere else!!

Location of the motel was awesome. A man lived in one of the rooms beside us and was so friendly. He was a lot more helpful than the staff.

If I could rate this motel lower than a 1 star, I would. When we got to the motel, police were there talking to people staying at the motel. Bad first impression already. Staff was ok, but he made fun of me for wearing a mask, very unprofessional. Staff gave no direction at all, about our room, room location, check out time, check out info, passcodes, nothing… when we got to our room, there was a used bandaid in our bed, that did not belong to us.. disgusting. Bugs everywhere too. We wanted to check out earlier but no one was in the office so we decided to come back a few hours later and still no staff. I paid over $200 because it was Canada long weekend, but I wouldn’t even pay over $50/night here any other day.

The Manager and staff (1 person) were the only good things about this property.

The manager did his best under the circumstances. He needs extra help. It is a short walk to the downtown area which is quaint. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Midtown Bistro.

Lack of cleanliness in the room and around the property. Junk everywhere, the pool area wasn’t well maintained. Leaves on the pool deck, furniture (table surfaces)were grimy. The manager was working very hard dealing with complaints. The place is in dire need of a good clean up. It is very short staffed. The owner needs to hire more staff and put some money into upgrading. Would not recommend to anyone, nor would I ever consider staying there again.
