Free breakfast with a million dollar view!

It was convenient clean and comfortable. The rooms in the outer blocks are much better than in main building.
We liked the river view.
There are no lifts.
Rooms in main building are on split levels.
Not very sound proof.
Check restaurant openings.

It was all so amazing there was nothing to not like

Breakfast was outstanding. Peter gives amazing customer service and is very attentive. He made it feel very welcoming and warm.
There was poor communication between the Reception team and the Restaurant crew.
Prior to checking in at about 8:45pm on August 12th, I called the front desk to double check if the restaurant was still open and serving food. The receptionist told me the restaurant was still open and would be serving food until 10pm.
So instead of stopping for dinner before arriving at the hotel, I decided to go straight to the hotel and have dinner there so I could just head up to my room and rest after a long day. I checked in at around 9:10pm and asked the receptionist again if the restaurant was still gonna be open until 10pm. She said yes. I was very excited as this would give me time to drop my stuff off in my room and quickly shower before heading down for dinner. I was back down in the restaurant by 9:30pm, when I walked in there were 3 staff members around me. No one greeted me nor engage with me. I had to ask one of the male servers if i could just sit at any table and all they replied with " Sorry Kitchen is closed". I told him the reception had just told me they were serving food until 10pm. He made an unimpressed face and said "Let me check with the kitchen, one sec". Came back shortly after and said "Sorry, everything is put away already". I was starving, exhausted and annoyed at the service and situation I was in. Only option was to get back in the car, drive myself into town and try and find food at 10pm.

location is great,
poor breakfast, restaurant
not open, no daily housekeeping.

The grounds and location are beautiful, the beds were comfortable, the buildings had rustic charm
Staff were quite friendly
No air conditioning which is fine because it doesn’t advertise saying that it does, but also aren’t any screens on the windows or doors, which makes it quite hard to air the rooms out
For the price that we paid for a garden loft suite, definitely not worth it, would be a great hotel for about $250 a night

Need to improve the dining options. The pub at the hotel had a rather limited menu and seemed to run out of items quickly. Breakfast options could also be better. The rooms could also use better cooling.
3.6
Room was very nice, view was phenomenal, Caitlin at the pub was lovely, dinner was good.
Breakfast was a shambles. It wasn't clear how we were supposed to do it. Short staffed. Ran out of bread/english muffins, croissants. Pool and hot tub were under renovation so they were closed.

The view from the rooms and terrasse was beautiful.
The service in the restaurant and for breakfast.
When booking the hotel, I asked if having allergy would be a problem. The answer was "no proble". However, there was only a bagel and some peanutbutter, that I could eat. The straffs only comment being. "Oh ... Sorry for that". No interest in trying to find a solution, or something else for me to eat. Also during dinner, the straff, did not take the time to talk to us and get our order, but was always moving away from us, and on their way to be somewhere else. Meaning that we had to order several times, to get everything.

Amazing beauty in this location, was so fun seeing the harbour seals swimming and bobbing around from the spacious, well appointed lobby and breakfast dining room. The staff was amazing trying to get us a main floor suite as I hadn't realized there were so many stairs to most of the rooms. Maybe not the most clever choice of mine to take my Momma of 87 for a Fall getaway to somewhere with no elevators, but we managed.
No rooms that are without stairs entirely.

Very lovely. Unfortunately, we booked for only 1 night.
Very nice stay to relax in a great area with a very nice view on the lake.

Would love to come back.

We loved the location. It was very quiet and wonderful waking up to a view of the water.
The rooms were a good size for two people with the bathroom seperate yet still close.
Only a few minutes away from the beautiful Elk Falls
I honestly cannot think of anything. Sorry
