The room is newly furnished and clean. Sheets and towels were clean. Heaters take a while to heat up so it was difficult to dry out our wet ski clothes, but by morning they did dry. It was very quiet at night despite being on the busy road. It deserves a higher rating than it currently has on Booking.com.
The outside of the hotel could use some maintenance which gives you a bad first impression, but the rooms are quite nice.

The room had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchenette was a nice addition. The air was nice and cold. The price was right!
It's not a real issue for us, but it is right on the highway, and you can hear traffic. There were only 2 pillows. A couple more would be appreciated. Our own fault for not asking for more.

Price but honestly I should have spent the literal extra couple of dollars and gotten a much cleaner, quieter room in another motel.
The unit was not dirty per say but definitely dingy and the bare bones of maintenance being done. The building, stairs, "green spaces" were unkempt and the whole area was littered with bits of garbage and loads of cigarette butts. Sometime in the middle of the night there was yelling, crying and clearly a couple fighting and swearing at each other. By early morning the noise from the traffic through the a/c unit and thin windows was hard to ignore. The app also stated a complimentary breakfast (not that I would have eaten it anyway judging by the state I'd everything else...) but it was stated as part of the perks to your stay. And I'm actually wondering if some of the "guests" aren't permanent paid by the province...which if that's the case I would have appreciated that information...This place has pretty good ratings, which fooled me, so either they are very old or someone is padding the reviews...has this place perhaps changed hands? Lesson learned. Until these owners get their poop grouped spend the extra few bucks elsewhere.

It's very much a classic motel, with somewhat dated facilities but everything works and was sufficient for my own needs as I was there for work. If you're looking for a simple place to stay, and especially if you might need a kitchenette, you honesly couldn't go wrong here. Better, it's super close to both Walmart and Superstore where I picked up some groceries for breakfast the next day.
Aside from everything being a bit dated (like the stove), there's really not much to say. My goal was a quiet place to sleep for a night, not a resort with a pool and a breakfast waiting in the morning.

the room was very comfortable, clean and spacious, great bathroom with jacuzzi.
comfortable sofa was very much appreciated
staff were very helpful when we tripped the electricity when running too many appliances
The exterior of the building could do with a tidy up

We booked and paid for a room with a kitchen (oven, stovetop, kitchenware). On checking in the gentleman shrugged and said there was no room available with a kitchen, thus we paid for something we did not receive. Infuriating as we had food we had hoped to cook for supper and breakfast.

The room size and layout was great. The full kitchen & all the gadgets supplied made it easy to cook my supper. The A/C worked well, even if it was a little too noisy at night for my liking.
The bed was quite hard & not very comfortable, however the pillows & blankets were good. Also the shower was a little confusing - I'd never seen one before where you pull down on a lip of the faucet.

Close to amenities
I've stayed at this facility before in a main level room which was very inviting clean new vinyl plank flooring was great.
The room I just stayed in was second level at the very end closest to the very noisy main street, it was small, relatively clean except it is time for the rug to be replaced as it is very stained and disgusting (sorry to be so harsh but not good).

easy to find and close to amenities. best value for your buck.
The stairs could use some repair.

There was a full sized fridge
Mouse droppings in corner of bathroom, carpet torn and frayed, floors were filthy, beds felt like they may have come from a donation centre, lumpy and thin, no secondary security on door, someone tried our door in the night, people smoking and drinking outside of rooms late at night, and piles of bottles and garbage piled around the premises outside.
No other rooms available in Cranbrook for the night or we would have moved out of this disgustingly filthy place.

I wanted a cheap place to stay and had low expectations. It was better than that by far. Would like better light blocking blinds and curtains. Thanks!
