Pleasant one night stay

Very friendly guy on reception, the motel is pretty dated - the brown bedcovers are terrible hope they've been washed since the 1970s and no aircon - but OK for a night's stay. Each room has a little BBQ outside which is quite handy. I wish I could have stuck my neighbour on ours - see comment below.

Unfortunately our neighbour basically sat outside the entire time smoking continuously which meant smoke always drifted in and it was disgusting.

It was a quaint place but definitely have seen better days. The rooms were clean but the outside could stand an update.

We liked the location. Close to town but also overlooking the Lake.

There was no water or ice in vending machine in office. One of the rooms we rented was very uncomfortable because we couldn’t open the window and it was a hot night. Additionally there were long term guests right next door whose dog barked when we left our rooms at night.

Room had an old musty smell Beds were pretty firm Door didn’t seem very secure. Olden wooden door with just the chain lock, no dead bolt. People playing loud music at 7:30am
