Great hotel - loved the location and the friendly staff and super comfortable room
Coffee shop close by is fantastic
10.0 / 10.0
The location is perfect. One block from the street that has many of the restaurants and shops. The room was clean and quiet with a lovely little patio for our private use. And for cooler days, they have a little stove to keep everything cozy.
There was nothing that we didn't like.

Outdoor patio and decks, coffee station
I couldn’t get the hall light to work when we came in late or to make an early coffee

Love the building....love the rooms and the front and back decks. I also like that they have shed for our bikes.
It makes me really feel like I am in a town with character as this property has so much character. Nelson is a cool town and it is my Home town. I am glad these owners have kept it vintage but updated all at once. I will probably always stay here and I always suggest it to anyone going to the wonderful town of Nelson. :)
Not sure there is anything I don't like. They have really thought of every thing.

Perfect location to walk to restaurants in town. Charming old building tastefully furnished. Comfortable bed. Nice little sitting room included with Sycamore room. Friendly staff.
I would have liked a fold out luggage stand. Asked for one but there were none available. Brighter reading lights beside bed would have been nice.
Folks interested in booking should be aware that there are multiple stairs required to access the first floor rooms of the house, no matter which entrance you use. That is a reality not a criticism. Nelson is built on the side of a mountain and is filled with stairs!

It was charming and spacious.
The only small item we would have changed is the bed attached to living area was too hard, and not very comfortable.

All was excellent!

The room was more like a small suite which was a wonderful surprise. There was a small area with a microwave and fridge as well as a screened off balcony. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. We very much enjoyed our stay.

bed was super uncomfortable and the place was noisy as kids ran the halls yelling and screaming.

A great boutique hotel. Our room was a perfect get away and was spacious and comfy.
The temperature was difficult to change

Wonderful location only one block from Baker St.
Amazing view from the window of the Tamarack suite.
Be aware that there are a lot of steep narrow stairs at this property.
Also, one of the bedrooms in the Tamarack suite is a large room also containing the dining & living areas and there is no door for privacy in this bedroom.

No breakfast. Location was good.
Getting old so number of stairs at facility are getting harder.

Very nice room, which was an upgrade they gave me on the spot. Nice sunroom. Comfortable furniture, including the bed. Parking at the back. Exceptionally friendly and professional staff person who was able to provide local recommendations. Everything worked as it should.
Be aware that it's an older structure so one can hear noise from rooms above, like kids stomping.

Great location downtown with an option to park behind the building. Walking distance to most places in the otherwise very busy little city.

Both spotless and modern with lots of charm. Outdoor sitting area with lots of greenery
Foot traffic above us early in morning but that's minor.

very comfortable and clean. attendant very friendly and helpful. wonderful history on this building.
The only thing I’d like to have had would be a small work desk in the room. otherwise it was well outfitted and comfortable.

Great location and friendly staff. The room was spacious with a lovely veranda. Great location close to downtown and restaurants. Our favourite place to stay in Nelson. Highly recommend.

The hotel was located a block from the Main Street of downtown. The hotel was an older home very tastefully converted to a hotel. It was very clean and had nice little extra features to make the stay nice. our suite had a little veranda off the room. The hotel also had an upper deck to sit outside and socialize or a quaint deck at the front with bistro tables to sit at.
There isn’t anything negative to say. There are a fair number of stairs to the property, but wasn’t an issue for us.

Super warm and friendly welcome. Staff genuinely seemed happy to have us.
Room was correctly advertised on site (small double), so good management of expectations.
Great location and easy parking!
Very simple hotel but still somehow felt a bit luxurious :)
Smell of food from other rooms or hallway (unsure) made it up to our room.
