All as expected. Not far from the city. Well run hostel, with proper service. Nice neighbourhood.

Budget rooms but this comes with the price.

床架声音有点儿大，每两层一个男卫生间/浴室有些不太方便。

Agradable y acogedora

La localización esta muy bien. También desde el primer momento hasta el ultimo nos han tratado genial. Luego la cocina y el desayuno estaban geniales.

Cuando hicimos el check in no nos dejaron estar en la misma habitacion a los 3 amig@s y nos tuvimos que separar por sexo. Pero las ultimas dos noches, con las dos chicas que iba les pusieron a una chica y un chico que es lo que no nos dejaron

Fantastic!!

Everything was great! This hostel is great for not only solo travellers but group travellers. The breakfast is fantastic and the location is great most things are in walking distance however there are bus/train stations close by if you don’t like walking.

The only down side was the towels were a tad small but otherwise everything was great

Clean, Professional, Polite Staff. Close to a great coffee shop & Concord Music Hall.

Staff were very kind & professional. They accidentally checked us into the wrong room but were quick to fix their small mistake after verifying my booking. They apologized profusely but it was a simple fix & caused us no inconvenience at all. (Turns out there was another guest booked with the same name) :) Simple mistake but how they handled it was really above and beyond in terms of kindness & accountability. The room was very nice, a bit warm but it suited our needs for a one night stay in Chicago.

Room had a slight sewage smell but I chalked it up to being close to the shared restroom. Our room had an en suite bathroom but I could hear others using the public restroom all night because the door slammed quite hard. Maybe if there was a way to soften that? (Small annoyance however, & in no way affected our stay as a whole) All in all though, no real complaints. This is definitely a place I will recommend!

Zimmer neben Aufzug war sehr laut. Betten knarren massiv, so dass man bei jedem umdrehen wach wird und auch alle anderen im Zimmer aufweckt.

If you are okay with the bed and other things but want to be in a fun lively area make sure to visit this place.

The location is the absolute best part of this property. It is in the Lincoln park area with great food options, cafes around plus the Lincoln park zoo and Belmont rocks are a plus. It also feels safe at night!

I have lived in a couple of other hostels around Chicago and the beds are not that good. The frame is too squeaky and feels weak and the mattress is also not that good. The shower area is so small that you cannot take your stuff as it is lying in open space.The price is not bad for the area but the amenities can be better.

11 nuits au Chicago getaway hotel

L'hôtel est propre et situé dans un quartier bien fréquenté. Les transports en commun ne sont pas loin et des restaurants se trouvent à proximité. Le petit déjeuner sous la forme de buffet, bien que peu diversifié, permet de commencer la journée dans de bonnes conditions.

Le WIFI au dernier étage se déconnecte régulièrement. De nombreuse douches, dans les sanitaires réservés aux hommes, ne comportent pas de porte et ne préservent pas l'intimité. Les chambres ne sont pas très bien insonorisée mais les gens étaient respectueux et je n'ai pas été gêné par le bruit.

Uno de los mejores lugares donde nos hemos alojado!

El personal! Joaquín nos dio diferentes recomendaciones de lugares para comer y visitar. Además de un trato súper cercano y amable nos sentimos como en casa. Por otro lado, el edificio tiene mucho encanto y dispone de zonas comunes para trabajar o descansar. Repetiremos sin duda, 100% recomendable!!!

Das Hostel ist sehr schön gelegen und die Innenstadt ist durch die Nähe zur Bahn sehr schnell zu erreichen. Zimmer sind sauber und das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

A Charming Hostel in a Picturesque Neighborhood

The hostel is situated in a charming historical building within a stunning upscale neighborhood. I was captivated by the location, the hostel's ambiance, and the delightful complimentary breakfast it offered.

During my stay, I opted for a private room with a shared bathroom. While the room had a minimalistic design, I felt that it could have been improved with the addition of an extra nightstand, a conveniently located plug, and a bedside lamp. Having these amenities closer to the bed would have enhanced the overall comfort and convenience of the room.

The room was clean, and the bed comfortable. The staff was very friendly. Overall, it was a good experience.

The room didn't feel very cosy, maybe because of the black paint. The bathroom was very far away from the room itself.

Rude, unsafe, cold.

Nothing, the place should be closed down!

After going to sit in the dining room around 10 in the morning and being told it was closed, I noted that there is a sign outside the dining room stating the hours as being open at that time, and suggested they should write this on the sign, and asked if it is in fact closed at that time every day. For this the manager yelled "you're out of here!" and kicked me out. He even called the police which was totally unwarranted but ended up being helpful for me. All agreed that I never raised my voice, and he did not have any story for the police about any policy that I violated. He simply said he wanted me gone and never to return, he did not attempt to provide any justification or even claim that I did something wrong. He was simply having a bad day. Stay at Chicago Getaway Hostel if you want to be jerked around and treated like garbage! The management will use their power to ruin your day if they are in the mood. Better to avoid putting yourself at their mercy. Also - the showers are cold!!
