The market across the street for excellent food to bring back and eat in the parlor.
The free coffee, tea, and water.
The only teas offered were Earl Grey and Green; should have English Breakfast.

The staff was extremely friendly. He explained everything, and there was no extra charge for parking on the property. The decorations were on par with the Boston city theme, and it was located on a road that was easy to get to. The room was airconditioned when I entered, and the bedding was comfortable. They provided a TV and the room had lots of windows, so it was comfortable to stay in.
The showerheads were painful and inconveniently high for a short person. I also didn't think it was worth the amount I paid to only stay from 3 pm to 11 am, although it was the beginning of the summer season. If it was 20% cheaper and they changed the showerheads, I would stay here every time I come to Boston and recommend it wholeheartedly.

The ambiance, our room and the staff were all wonderful. We felt very much at home and all questions were easily answered.
It a little away from city center but the Train station is an easy walk and at night it is very quiet.

nothing
they put me in a room with no heat. The room I did have a fireplace, but I was advised it did not work the second night after I made them give me another room. They put me in a room on the third floor. They did bring up my suitcase, but they could not help me bring it down at 6 AM on Sunday morning there was no breakfast there are inadequate curtains in all rooms and make it impossible to have a dark room in the morning. The towels are tiny little rock things. The hot water is unreliable and vacillate between hot and cold with no water pressure, there is no breakfast. The gentleman should go across the street and get some fruit. Is the place across the street and bring it back to eat they are not helpful about referring you to other places in the neighborhood. They don’t even I asked whether the numbers went up or down on mass Avenue and they couldn’t answer that this is a terrible place to stay.

There was no breakfast provided.
The room was fairly cold for my parents, they needed an extra blanket in the evening

The location was great as very close to Harvard and within walking distance of plenty shops, restaurants and transport links. Free parking and free coffee and tea. The reception were very friendly and clear about offerings and times. Family home feel and nice and clean.
The house is very old and thus the decorations and furniture is all quite dated and thus could do with some renewing. Some however might like the old house feel and characteristic decor.

Great accommodation & area.

Owner/desk clerk took me to adjacent property where our room was to show me how the security door worked. Allowed me to keep my car parked the following day when we went to Sox game after we checked out.
Small room. Toilet configured in bathroom very awkwardly (facing wall too close). Parking in first lot at an angle, which made it difficult to back out, necessarily into the street.

Pretty nice interior in main house and room (once we got the right one), nice neighbourhood, supermarket across the street.
We had booked a Victorian room, which normally costs more, but got a normal room at first. This was corrected after request but the price remained the same and we were told someone else would then later get our old room. They don’t seem to know who booked what and prices appear to be made up for the different room types. No breakfast served (only coffee and tea for stuff you get in the supermarket), next real breakfast place is 15 mins away.

Well located between Davis and Porter Squares and on the Mass Ave bus routes. Beds were comfy, which is important.
I stayed here twice, once through airBnb and once through Booking.com. Two different rooms. One room very good, incl. a fridge and microwave (Room 104) , the other not so good (Room 306), in which the private bathroom was a separate room so had to go down the public corridor to get to it, and no microwave, but more expensive! The second room had a door onto a deck but the door was frosted glass, no curtains. So, not sufficiently private, and not able to make the room dark for sleeping. Disappointing that they no longer offer any breakfast, not even some fruit and pastries, and the tea is low-quality yellow-label liptons (can't comment on coffee, I don't drink it).

Off street parking was great. Located across street from Pemberton Farms was a plus.

great location, helpful staff, comfortable room.
room was extremely hot at night, window AC turned on but didn’t actually blow cold air. really loud outside on street level. electric kettle or even microwave to make hot water inside of room would be nice too

The contemporary room was clean and comfortable. The location and price were great.
The furniture was modest and worn out.

relatively close to subway
excellent supermarket across the road
it was warm & cozy.
the room and bathroom were exceedingly small the mattress was saggy and every time my partner turned over it was like waves in the ocean and transmitted to me.
not as well cleaned as it should have been.

The location wasn’t too bad. Porter Square was walking distance. They discontinued serving breakfast due to Covid, but this was made known before booking. The host gave us a couple of apples the next morning and I thought that was nice. I would likely stay here again.
The room was smaller than expected and it was located in a different building next door. Not in the actual house shown on the website. The water pressure in the shower is very weak. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

Friendly staff, access to tea and coffee, microwave and dining/lounge areas. Large fridge in room. Great location for subway, shops and excellent farm shop opposite for supplies. Very quick direct subway route to South Station, very close to Harvard. Rooms were large and clean, beds comfortable. Very homely.

Beautiful historical house
The interior is looking a bit worn and need’s refreshing. (chipped woodwork, worn carpeting, worn draped). Bed pillows flat and worn.

Beautiful old house converted into an inn.
Advertised as a bed and breakfast and only after booking was told breakfast is no longer being served…very frustrating!!
