Good value for the price

We got a free room upgrade through booking.com, had a nice spacious suite. It was great to get a free complimentary hot meal. Cooking staff were great.Great black out curtains and quiet at night.

When we arrived there was no one in the front desk, waited a long time to be able to check in. The bathroom smelled very bad, like someone had been smoking there, could not fully enjoy my shower. The TV remote wasn’t configured, the TV was stuck on the weather channel.

Good room and excellent breakfast!

The room and bed were satisfactory, and the cleanliness was excellent. The breakfast was superior, and on that count I would definitely stay again.

The staff member Sunny at the front desk was very kind and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was as comfortable as can be

Our room wasn't exactly clean when we got in =/ But once Sunny was told about it he put my family and I into another room asap and made sure it exceeded my expectations and gave a very sincere apology

Fucking worthless

Nothing we didn't get to stay

You have an employee that caused an issue because of a baby but there was no noise complaint it was just him soooo when I came down to asked why he knocked on are door I get valger language and threatened to call the cops he also wasn't like that with my fiance and at this point we think he's racist there is a big difference between a adult making noise and a child needing a bottle the worst place don't bring your kids here and John the manger on third should not be in hospitality business on top of the the wifi dose not work so we can cast to the TV I just hope my refund clears I booked the hotel for a under 1year old child and 2 adults but yet when I tell him the noise is baby and he can't come to my room And knock he starts to get mad at me and call me crazy when I didn't do anything except ask what happened that he had to knock if you dont want infants at your hotel then you should put that down worst stay in Madison.

Better than expected

Excellent breakfast. The fridge was not working when we got there a couple of hours later, we were moved to another room. The girl in charge was extremely nice and kind. Also, despite being right next to the highway, it was very quiet. The mall is walking distance. The neighborhood is safe. Transportation to the UW campus is a couple of blocks away.

We rented a room with a kitchenette, which is not equipped at all. you actually have to ask for utensils at the front desk, and apart from a skillet a cooking pot, that was it. It was very hard to cook there (necessary for a longer stay).

Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and competent.

Terrible smell in the room: very strong deodorizer maybe? Seemed stronger when the AC was running. Maybe this was a pet room where they were trying to cover pet urine smell?

4th visit to Madison, 3rd time we have stayed at Best Western West Towne Suites

Breakfasts were good, card access was unreliable, location excellent.

No pool. Sofa bed was a little uncomfortable but easy to use

Value

The hotel was fine and served its purpose. The room was basic, but was incredibly musty and the entire room, including our clothing after 1 night felt "wet". You desperately need dehumidifiers installed. Sheets, couch, everything, was damp from the second we walked in. Lots of mildew smell. The location and value are why we chose this location, but if it weren't for that, we would have gone elsewhere.

Overall good experience - close to everything in West Madison

The breakfast was lovely - choice of French Toast, eggs, or pancakes. Light continental choices also available. Rooms were clean and comfortable for the most part. Location was close to what we needed. Very close to shopping and multiple restaurants.

Kids would have enjoyed a pool - none on site. One of our two rooms had a funny smell to it - musty or old cigarette smoke? The King Suite was very noisy if one is sleeping on the sleeper sofa - there is no sound insulation and you can hear everyone going up and down the hallways. Staff were not always available at the front desk. Phone in the lobby was not working. Key cards to rooms needed to be recoded after 3 days - maybe just in our case and not a policy.

It was overall a nice stay

It’s was very clean and the staff were friendly.

The a/c in our room was not working properly and it had not been cleaned in a while. It was cooler in the hallway than in our room.

To have house keeping coming in the room did not knock no nothing. And say oh didn't know someone was in here. Now mind you we were checked in for 20 min or so. Very unprofessional from me working in hotel industries this should never happen. And of course communication among staff is encourage. So this kind of things do not happen.

Good price but wouldn’t stay again, friendly staff.

Close to areas we were visiting.

It was outdated and needed some upgrade. Sofa was dirty with stains. The floor above us was squeaky and could hear every step the people staying there took. Smelled musty.

Great for the most part, rotten food is unacceptable.

The staff were well-mannered and efficient. The hotel room was very clean. The breakfast was great for the most part, as will be elaborated in the next answer.

While there was free breakfast included, you could only order 1 entree per person, with two measly pieces of either bacon or sausage. Compare this to most hotels, especially in this price range, that offer much larger buffet style selections. But what was really bad, was that there was a blueberry muffin that had rotten blueberries, and made my partner sick. Despite everything else being great, something that makes someone sick is unacceptable.

Everything. Comfortable beds,nice staff, hot breakfast, nice and quiet. What's not to love?

Made to order breakfast did take a little more time, so it delayed us a little bit. But it was good and fresh, so can't complain too much.
