Clean, quite, and friendly staff.
Clean, conveniently located next to restaurant and stores.

A large and clean room. Free parking provided and the pool area was nice. Good location just off the motorway and with nearby shops / restaurants.
I agree with previous reviews that the room decor was very dated. Bathroom sealant also needed redoing. With a minor refurb / bit of TLC this could be a very nice hotel. Note that there is no lift.

All bad, bad motel(

The rate was reasonable.
Each electric outlet had one non-working plug in.
The frig and freezer didn't work well.
Your ice machine didn't have ice.
A homeless person was sleeping near the staircase I was using.
Your free breakfast opens too late in the morning for me to use.

Staff/ Receptionist was extremely nice and helpful 🥰
Pool was closed during My stay, I specifically selected Hotel, that had a swimming pool 😧 because I knew it was going to be hot in Bakersfield that weekend. Traveled from Tulsa Oklahoma.

Staff was very very rude. The purpose of the stay was to swim. We were kicked out because kids weren't "registered guests" but we were. Entire stay they put chemicals in pool so we couldn't use the pool. Older women part of staff was very very rude.

room was clean and comfortable
Homeless man had made a campsite in the upper floor and when notified management did nothing to discourage him. Not only did I have to walk around him,he was smoking and the smell was horrible.

I booked a room 2 months ago to get here to not have a smoking room. I booked a smoking room they did not commendate me for what I booked.

Loud traffic noise. Only Cheerios and packaged pastry breakfast. American flag on pole at entrance was old and in shreds and should be replaced or not displayed.

Room service and the room overall

I have been stayed there on and off for a year, so far everything is smooth. I don't expect too much, just clean room and bed is good enough for me.

What the cheerios? Stale no coffee had to get key card fixed every day. Room service didn't come in my room on a five night stay

Breakfast wasn't much but the room itself are good. Room was clean, met expectations. Only downside to the room experience was that the cable box was mounted high on the wall, so when I first tried using the TV, i didnt see the box and the cable didn't seem to work. After about 10 minutes of being in the room I noticed the box and tried the TV again and it was fine.
Breakfast was extremely limited. The surrounding areas didnt seem that safe, but having grown up in bakersfield, it wasn't anything I am not used to.

The quiet time I I had at the Travelodge
over the weekend was so delightful.
And Mary, the lobby receptionist had a beautiful smile every time I seen her.

The room is clean. The bathroom was very clean.
We were there for the night. Thanks for accommodating us and our dog.
The comforter may need an upgrade bigtime. The one on the bed had cigarette holes on it. It would be nicer if the comforter may be a bit brighter to make the room brighter. It is I think colored wine and thin. I know comfohrters are being reused and not changed, but if it looked clean, that is a bonus.

Room was very clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. The comforter was so warm. I Iiked the shower. The staff were nice and helped us with a few problems with our keys. Enjoyed the stay there.
The wall socket the was under the table didn't work well but my phone still got charged from the socket next to the TV. Not too many things wrong but we're not the type to complain a lot.
