When my daughter and I travel to Wilmington, we stay at the Courtyard.

We didn't eat the breakfast. We ate out both mornings.

Everything was to our liking.

Exceptional

The location was perfect! The lobby is very comfortable and overall quiet. The pool felt secluded and like we were in our own back yard.

It’s was ok

The outdoor pool ….. and the checkout time being 1200 pm as opposed to 1100 am

The courtyard was not kept very nicely landscaping wise…the pool was filthy….at 400 pm there was staff weed whacking … and I cleaned the debris out of the pool so my kids can swim …the ground floor rooms with the sliding doors to exit to the courtyard right outside as you exit and enter are muddy no walkway to so if getting dirt/ on rug in room

Nice location and staff however, not clean.

The location. The staff was very nice.

My room had dead bugs in the bathroom on the floor. There was a layer of dust on the phone and the side bed table. Several of the bath towels looked like they had been washed but still had stains on them. One of which was either blood or ketchup. The floor in the room had ketchup stains or something similar. The room smelled like it hadn’t been aired out/used in sometime. The carpet threw out the hotel along with the elevator looked dirty. I realize it takes a lot to keep up a hotel. However, it’s the little things that guest notice.

Sadly disappointed with Marriott

Location, comfy beds

We were checked into a room with a broken ac unit and a clogged shower drain. After approaching the front desk the second time , we were moved to another room . The first time we were told , “we are sold out” , nothing we can do. Our room was so hot . Disappointed with Marriott .. it’s been a while since I’ve stayed with Marriott but it’s def not the same quality as it used to be. The halls and temp of the hotel were at 76-78. Very odd for a location down south in the summer months ? I def would think twice before booking with Marriott again .

Centrally located around UNCW but need a car to transport reasonably

The location was very central but you had to drive just about everywhere reasonably. The room was better than we expected and very spacious.

The walls were very thin and we had noisy neighbors at early morning hours and not a very wide variety of breakfast options

Extremely disappointed in general with the lack of communication and customer service.

Location was spot on, near the UNCW campus and centrally located.

Poor communication. Upon check-in, were greeted with (not, hello...welcome...etc.) just "jenkins, ok, your card is denied". So I proceeded to say, no, there's plenty of funds to cover the amount of the stay for our 1 night. After a couple of minutes of not understanding WHY, it was then told to us that the "total amount" emailed to us by booking.com was actually NOT the amount they were expecting (hence the denied card). This hotel imposes an incidental fee, SURPRISE! Once I transferred, we were all set. The problem is, this is horrible. What if we were a family that didn't plan for and didn't have the funds for this unexpected fee upon arrival? She then proceeded to walk around and point to a placard on the counter and this was their way of letting customers know about this charge, with no advance warning whatsoever. How in the world are we to see this policy/additional charge when booking online, LoL? Not professional at all. No apologies for the miscommunication (or lack of communication). The clerk kept blaming it on "booking with a 3rd party". Very unprofessional and embarrassing, with no attempt to make a bad situation a positive experience.
