Great location! Loved the cinnamon rolls too!
Did not have a view from my room. Next time I will book one with an ocean view.
I couldn’t figure out how to turn on heater. Hot water in sink was just a trickle.

Rooms still had original pink coffin sized unupdated showers in poor condition. Talking 1950's.
Needs inspection. 1

Excellent location.

I had a confirmed stay that was already paid for. And the guy at the front desk found my reservation, but said there was no room attached to it so therefore I did not get my room. I did not get to stay and I had to travel 3 1/2 hours back because there were no other rooms in that town And this is not the first time this is happened at that place trying to get my money back I paid through PayPal on bookings website

The location is great right across the street from Morro Rock and restaurants and shopping. The complimentary Cinnamon Rolls were yummy and Frankie and Lolas Restaurant was so awesome right underneath the Motel.
The rooms are super small, and very clean but too small, the staff was nice, but we had some issues at check-in and the office was closed, I had to call for service, but everything was resolved.

This was the perfect place for us! First off, they welcome pets. We don't need or want ostentaion, we just want clean and comfortable and this was both. The location was spectacular, we wanted to see sea otters and all we had to do was cross the street to the bay and there they were! The management was extremely friendly and very accommodating. The grounds were well kept and the outdoor seating areas were welcoming.
The building itself is older, the interior shows it, especially in the bathroom. Everything worked fine but it just looks dated. Because the hotel is small, all rooms face the courtyard and the management and staff had many discussions in the courtyard (all friendly) but noticeably loud. This is not a complaint, but after hours one evening they enjoyed congregating with each other in the courtyard in a very family kind of way. Like I said, it was not disruptive, they clearly seem to enjoy each others' company, but a little louder than we shy folks might have liked. It wouldn't keep me from returning though.

The location was excellent. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Comfortable bed. And free coupon for cinnamon rolls next door was a nice touch.
No microwave in room. Microwave in galley only available 9-5. Room was on the smaller side and no seating except the bed.

Super clean, great location!

The location and small but very comfortable rooms.
Nothing. I liked everything.

The fruit I left for the staff as an appreciation gift.
Seeing a motel in turmoil, there's no reason to name specifics. The owner wasn't even kind enough to refund the 2 days I didn't feel safe enough to stay. 11 years ago this town was good, now it's just a nightmare in the day and only bliss at night.

Location was excellent.
Lacks parking. Management was not available. You had to catch them between 8-3 if you needed something.

The hot cinnamon rolls were wickedly delicious!
Perhaps a little more shelf space cleverly embedded within the room.

location, location, location

location is the best
Very noisy. People in and out of galley and storage room, upstairs rooms sounded like a basketball court, room to room noise very loud and front desk clerk continually standing outside the rooms talking at full volume on his phone. Also, at 9:00 PM another guest was told by manager to come to our room and ask for the Wi-fi access code.

Great location
Mask policy discriminatory and bizarre, room was tiny, poor facilities

Location close to Embarcadero. Pet allowed. Pillows were plump. Two free cinnamon rolls each morning at Cafe next door.
Way over priced! Over $300 per night. Very old and run down. Constant road noise. Only window had blinds you could not raise. No microwave. Portable heater seems dangerous. Black mold inside shower on wall. The "sitting area" consisted of two hard plastic chairs tucked into an alcove. Couldn't see TV from one of them. No closet, just hooks on wall. Rusty bedside lamps. We had "king deluxe" room. Tiny, drab, office closed at 5:00. Mgr said ice was available in the office. When hubby went to get some, he was given a zip lock sandwich bag with eight ice cubes in it. Never again! Looks like they are barely keeping the place going. Walls dirty, no dog run.

The location was excellent. The rooms were very small, but that was disclosed when making the reservation so no surprise there. The price includes morning cinnamon rolls that are very good from a restaurant next door.
There is no ice machine. The front desk will give you a small bag or 2 if requested before 6:00 pm.
