Location was good. The pool area was reasonable as well!
Where do I start? Firstly, it took a while for staff to handle certain problems.
(1) the hair dryer didn't work and it took them almost two days to replace it.
(2) they charged extra for housekeeping and only had one extra set of towels for a week-long stay.
(3) the bathroom/shower hadn't been cleaned properly and there was still an half-empty bottle of shampoo and used soap in the shower when we got into the room.

The ala Moana hotel was really nice however, the room not so much.
The room was not as expected. The pictures on the site is not even close. Booked a room with a balcony and had only a sliding glass door. Booked a room with an ocean view and had a parking garage 0/10 would not book again!!

Great location, but smallish rooms are showing wear and tear. Friendly staff.
Room size, teeny bathroom, and outdated decor and furnishings

The location is great because it’s central so it doesn’t take long to get to many destinations on the island. The location is also steps away from the beach.
There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. The positioning of the television was really odd and WiFi in the room near the balcony was really bad. I could not sit at the table in the room and do work I had to sit on the bed to get a signal.

Great location. Walking distance from beach and malls

Fast , friendly, efficient staff, secure.
It was a perfect weekend, comfortable, clean, convenient, safe.
2.8
The proximity to where I needed to go to get what I needed done.
The housekeeping services are limited with regards to the hours of availability.

Air conditioner was good
Leaky shower, limited linen, phone didn't work, Noone to answer questions unless I call someone in Las Vegas

The condominium was in a state of disrepair with torn carpet, broken furniture, leaking tap and back mold in the bathroom. It was simply unacceptable. As we arrived at 11PM, we had no choice but spend the nigh there and checked out first thing next morning. We had to pay over $300 for the one night stay - the rest of the prepaid amount (for 21 days) was refunded.
See above.

I love the location and facility in general. the staff was great!
I didn’t like my room-there were items that were broken like the temperature valve for the shower and the sconce was not screwed in well so it moved when I turned the light on & off. the sheets were old

I like the location of the hotel.
Fungus growing bathroom curtain, it was disgusting, and chair was torn on the side. Shampoo was the one of the worst kind I've ever had.

the location was great
the hotel was nice
it was a pain that we had to pay for room service (cleaning) so we just cleaned ourselves.
towards the end of our trip I noticed that a bedspread from one of the queen beds (we used one bed to sleep and one to lay our clothes out on) was gone… so someone had to have entered the room at some point when we were out and about during the day. i meant to mention it to the front desk but there was a long line when we were leaving for the airport and I didn’t have the time to wait.
the location
the pool
the restaurant by the pool was superb!
the hotel staff was always very nice

The bellhops were helpful, the location was okay.
No trash picked up in our room for 12 days
Missing coffee pot 10 of 12 days
Balcoony not accessible
Not a good view of ocean
Parking was advertised at 20 a day, they charged us 35.
We were locked in a bathroom 3 times in our room because of broken bathroom door.

the location was pretty cool, there's just around the corner a big mall with everything you need, buses stop right outside the hotel and taxi is cheap
The fact that I wasn't really renting a room directly to the hotel, it was a private owner so it did not include anything, not even cleaning service, and the worst part is that they did not even care to tell me that before, they made us believed we just rented a room in that luxury hotel, but the experience of it was just like an airbnb

I liked the location of the property
There was no access to the pool in the day time because of the construction. It should have been stated online before arrival.
Also, before booking it should have stated it is operated privately through a third party. There was no access to concierges or amneties because of this.

The Ala Moana Hotel is in a great location. It's close to the beach, the park, the mall, and within walking distance of Waikiki and Kaka'ako. The common areas are lovely and the hotel staff friendly.
LSI - We booked one of their privately managed rooms. I have enjoyed many stays at this hotel in privately managed rooms before and was shocked when I walking into this room. This LSI room was extremely poorly maintained. The shower curtain rod was coming loose from the wall and one of the lights in the bathroom was out. There was hair in the shower and broken glass on the floor next to one of the beds. The carpet was torn in one spot. LSI did not let us know that the hotel was painting the exterior of the building and so there was no access to the balcony at all and the pool was closed during the day. To top it off, the balcony furniture was left in the room. I had to call LSI and send pictures to have the balcony furniture removed from the room. It took 2 phone calls and 2 days. I then called LSI and sent pictures again about the other things that were broken. There was no response. LSI took our money in advance and left us with no recourse. We paid the resort fee with no access to the pool. We paid for a room with a balcony with no access to the balcony. The bathroom had one working light and we waited for the shower curtain rod to fall down. LSI is the worst! I am afraid they will ruin the reputation of this hotel with their poor maintenance and cleaning.

The hotel itself was beautiful and spacious. It was also very clean and I loved that there were gift shops in the lobby and a Starbucks. We also loved that it was attached to the Ala Moana shopping center. The staff were very friendly and it was convenient to have a baggage drop at the bell desk.
when booking this hotel we had NO idea that it was actually a privately managed unit (condominium basically) rather than a hotel room. The check in took me 1 hour because LSI resorts and Ala Moana hotel were not on the same page. they had to keep calling and faxing each other in order to just get us a room. The pictures online make the room look way too good when in reality the room was SO tiny and SO dirty. The baseboards were falling off the walls, the carpet and walls were stained everywhere. the iron was useless. The two chairs were also clearly stained I was grossed out and didn’t want to sit on them or even go barefoot. They only provided shampoo and body lotion which was extremely inconvenient as almost all hotels have shampoo, conditioner, and body soap (I specifically did not pack any for this reason). The room did have a sliding glass door that we were able to open but the view was a parking garage over an alley and another apartment building! Lastly the pool is only open til 7pm and there was no hot tub either. That was super unfortunate because we wanted to go night swimming. They are also currently doing construction so the pool is closed most of the day and construction barriers everywhere outside of the hotel and pool area.

Location
No service, we had called for amenities as simple as toilet paper. When we checked in the room smelled funky, half a toilet paper no extra roll.

Good view. Convenient location.
Poor staffing. Mold in the bathroom. Miss matched and inadequate amount of towels. It appeared that the staff was not really willing to make an effort helping out. Basic questions about the surroundings and or where thing's are in the hotel are poorly answered. I felt completely left on my own.
I had to call several times and convince the young lady on the other side that I really needed the room cleaned, fresh sheets and stocked with new towels and coffee.
Speaking of coffee, he sugar and cream packets were old and not usable. It appeared that it may have been wet at one point and hardened the content and spoiled it. I was rather ill for a day and a half because of it.
When I pointed out the mold on the bathroom to the staff. I heard nothing in regards to an apology. As a matter of fact she only cleaned two square ft of a visible area and didn't finish it. Sneaking out, pretending all is well. I had to buy m own cleaning supplies and finish the job.
No matter how self sufficient this concept is, this however is not acceptable.

This hotel is always my go to choice because of mall and all the eateries accessible without having to jump in the car and deal with traffic.

the hotel part was great. it was in a great location. close enough to walk to Waikiki but far enough that you didn’t have to deal with so much of a congested area.
I was upset due to o paid for an ocean view and when I checked in I received a city view. I called management for LSI properties and was told by supervisor that she would call me back and she never responded back. the hotel was beautiful but the room I stayed in was horrible and in major need of upgrades. I say if you want to stay at ala moana hotel, book through the hotel directly and not through LSI resort properties because they don’t seem to care for any thing but your money.

This place is so dirty. This place doesn’t look like it had been cleaned or disinfected for the customers health and safety, especially during Covid-19. I felt very disrespected while staying here.
I was here for three nights training for work and I was barely in the room. When I checked in the first day it was late and dark so I couldn’t see any thing. I noticed that the bathroom wasn’t clean or it doesn’t seem like they cleaned it recently. I took a shower and found out that the towel had a horrific smell. Everything in the room was covered in dust, nothing was plugged in (lamps,tv etc.), there were stains and spilled liquids all over the place. I found out the second day after my training and reached out to the hotel and was told they couldn’t help. They gave me a number to call so I called my third day after training and they weren’t operating any more. So I had to wait to call around 9-10 early in the morning. When I got a hold of someone I was very rudely spoken to and was told there wasn’t anything that could be done.

The best thing about this unit was its location. It is conveniently close to restaurants, shopping, beach and busline. The area is okay for walking but with a walkable beach nearby, there is an alternative available. The hotel itself offers a range of shops and restaurants as well as a very comfortable lobby area.
This unit is in need of repairs for its rather dated furniture. Two of the six drawers of the dresser were broken and unusable. The towel racks in the bathroom are coming off of the walls, and one of 2 bedside lamps was missing the knob to turn it on. Aside from the repairs needed, the loveseat had several stains that were not pleasant to see.

Location was excellent, it would be nice if I had more of the beach view
Pay extra for room clean-up during my stay. I feel this should be included in the total fee I paid upfront.
