I liked the idea of a full breakfast menu included. The breakfast was very restrictive and did not offer vegan protein options, as a lot of progressive restaurants currently offer. For the price, I hoped they would offer substitutes and I called ahead to plan. They do not currently have vegan/vegetarian meat subs, so we did not get the value of breakfast included as would meat eaters (traditional bacon and sausage only). For the price and considering the quaintness of the hotel, I honestly expected an accommodation. Overall, the location is great and the quaintness won us over. We had massages just steps away from the lobby at Harbor Town Spa and the price and services were excellent.
The housekeeping needed more attention to detail. We found several long strands of hair in the tub and in several places on the bathroom floor. The curtains had what appeared to be stains on them and there were paint patches on the walls. For the cost, I would have expected they inspect the rooms closer and replace and repair items so they are not noticed by guests. The thermostat wasn't properly functioning, and we were either too hot or too cold. The property itself is very nice, but some updating of the menu and more attention to the details in the rooms would have gotten a higher rating.

The location of the hotel was amazing!
The quality of the hotel is not worth the price. We paid $450+ for one night in a deluxe king room and it didn’t even have a view of the Mississippi River. Our view was of the below floor’s covering and apartments in the area. There were lots of lady bugs in our room and in our bed! Definitely not upscale enough for what they charge per room.

We had two meals Both were VERY salty. Ruined both meals.
Evening room Service NEVER showed up. When we

we wanted to carry it all back to our room?!
It was delivered but just.

The room and the location was nice.
The views from the rooftop bar and our room was lovely.
The reception area had a fire which made it feel cosy.
The staff could have been more attentive.
Everything closed too early and there wasn’t anything to do around the area

The breakfast was exceptional good!
The champagne should been a whole bottle instead of a glass.

We have stayed here before and it is our hotel of choice in Memphis. Great atmosphere.
When we booked, asked for river rooms. We only got one, and the toilet malfunctioned in that one and we wound up with neither having a riverview.
