Location was excellent. It was downtown and near the airport. Very comfortable beds and staff was topnotch.
Room was a bit tight and no plugins near the bed for my CPAP.

Staff is awesome. Place is very quaint, which we like. Location was close to Billings Hospital, which was why we were there. And, pets were allowed.
Unfortunately, most travellers expect 4 pillows per bed as was shown in the photos for this location, but there were only 4 for 2 beds. The heat was very difficult to regulate. NO WHERE did we see the additional pet fee stated! We were surprised to get charged this at checkin. I understand charging extra, but this should have been clearly stated.

This my second time staying at is. the parking stinks. I drive a pick-up its tough parking. Other than that - a great place. and it is pet friendly.
Parking but it is what it is.

They should say that the restaurant is closed, we like to stay and eat at the same place. That was the reason we booked thus motel.

Dude Rancher lodge had a great staff that were extremely helpful and provided guidance when the roads were icy and snowy . Everything was clean, quiet and accommodating. Had a western charm different from a chain hotel.
The restaurant to the lodge is closed and that wasn't mentioned in the booking . Part of the appeal was having lodging and a restaurant in close proximity and not having to leave the premises.
The heater in the room was also outdated and extremely loud , but atleast it worked!

There was no opporunity for breakfast. Staffing issues.

Room was well appointed, comfortable, and a great value. All of the front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, nearby to a multitude of dining options around downtown and just a few minutes to the airport. I always stay here when I visit Billings and will continue to do so going forward. Thank you for another great stay.
Everything was great.

Todd Graves was amazing and his staff was very accomadating. I only wish I could have met Annabel.
The restaurant was closed.

The room was comfortable. They installed new shower that was very nice. The staff was welcoming. Great rate for Billings.
The toilet was broken.

Did not have breakfast. Got in late and left early, so the room was just fine for a short stay.
It is quaint and older, so room is very small, but ok for a quick one night!

Ok for a one time stay.
Carpet was disgusting.

The location - just a couple of blocks from what seems to the be the center of Billings - was pleasant, though the approach to the parking area was cramped. the decor and ambience of the lobby, stairwell, public areas, and rooms gave a rich rustic Old West kind of vibe. The brick, wood paneling, wrought-iron lamps, rope handrails all create atmosphere.
The facility has so much potential but seems to have been allowed to become 'tired' and dark. The restaurant was 'temporarily closed', though that was not mentioned in the website. The unique "cattle brands" carpeting should be cleaned. If it cannot be brightened up, and cannot be replaced, that element of the old west theme should be sacrificed to giving guests a sense of freshness and cleanliness in its place. Perhaps the management is having problems with the cleaning crew: One of our two rooms appeared NOT to have been cleaned and made up for new guests (the bed was a jumble of bedding), requiring us to be given a different room. The other rooms was ready, but the bathroom showed signs of inadequate cleaning. Mattresses were satisfactory, but showed signs of age (sagging). I would love to return, if the facility could be better taken care of.

They should reopen their restaurant. Very nice people running the hotel. There needs to be a better security in place to feel safer. Bad location of Billings to have a nostalgic hotel. Too many homeless people wandering in and out
Lack of security

I loved the decor of my room. The bed was very comfortable & cozy room with positive vibes/energy. The manager was accommodating. It was nice to experience a different kind of lodging.

Friendly staff. Close to destination. Great TV.
The carpet was wet by table because someone left open window. Window was broken. We told front desk, but no one cared. The jacuzzi tub had black mold around jets. And the room smelled stale. The carpet had not been vacuumed in some time, at least not while we were there. Very poor lighting. We had to set out garbage cans to be emptied and towels were not changed unless we left them on the floor.

Cute, older & primitive. Not luxury by any means, but for a quick stay after a concert it was great!
No elevator, but wasn’t a big deal.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. I like their shower also which has very powerful hot showers and your very own jacuzzi bath.
Sad thing they don't serve meals.

The location was fine. Not too far from the airport. Bed was comfortable.
The heater had a major malfunction. It keep switching on and off and didn't heat properly. We asked for an extra blanket and they didn't have one. The rope handrail on the stairs has major play in it, and could be dangerous for some people. The restaurant that was advertised as a place to eat next door was closed.
