The hotel itself was surprisingly "posh" for a fairly remote location, but consistent with the fact that their main focus seems to be on winter skiing (the approach to the hotel is specifically set up for delivery and drop-off of skiers going to the adjacent ski slopes). The room was spacious and well maintained and could be used as a "living room" environment when the Murphy bed is up and out of the way, so it could be a congregating space for a family group to get together and use the mini-kitchen to support snacks and drinks, etc.
The sound proofing between the rooms was not very good, and we could hear people talking (not yelling) in the next room and above us, as well as footsteps above us. The Murphy bed system frame is attached to the wall, and it seemed like ours was mounted on the wall directly behind the similar set-up next door. With the frame providing some sound capture, the ordinary talking voices of the neighbors could be heard chatting away as we tried to go to sleep (but not so loud and clear as to make out the words, just enough to be annoying). It did make us aware that our own talking might be a cross-annoyance to them, so we were talking in whispers when we needed to say something.

Hotel was nice staff was excellent
The room was not at all as described in the pictures there were two queen beds and a murphy bed and sleep sofa and a patio but our room was just a Murphy bed that was like sleeping on concrete and a sofa bed but no patio we made the best of our stay

Clean, spacious, well maintained, nice grounds. All the amenities needed.
Decor outdated. Felt like early 80s. But the building itself is nicely laid out. You’ll love the grand entrance.

Everyone was super nice and helpful especially Judy Lamb the Concierge!! Judy talked with us for a bit about places to sight see and explore. She had maps and print outs for everything!! Without Judy we wouldn’t have found all the beautiful places we did!! Thank you Judy for your exceptional customer service! I just can’t say enough about Judy, hotels need more people like her to guide their guests.
The hotel was very quiet, clean, and the pool was awesome. Just a perfect weekend stay!

The location is outstanding -- ski in/ski out. It was also very easy to get to. The outdoor pool and hot tub was a hit. The restaurant and bar were good, but understaffed. So, the wait time was longer than it should have been. The entertainment in the bar on Saturday night was also very good.
No baggage check at the hotel, which meant that I had to store my bags in my car on the morning of checkout.
The restaurant/bar was understaffed and service was slow.
The hotel needs maintenance (painting, carpet replacement, etc.). The facilities are very dated.

It was very clean and this is very important to me. Also, love having the restaurant/bar right on site with live music and dancing!!! My grandkids loved the outdoor pool!!!! You don’t have to leave - lots of activities on site.
Wish there was a separate bedroom rather than having the beds right in the living space.

Great location
The Murphy bed was very uncomfortable spend the extra money for an upgrade

Room was nice, spacious and clean.
It is supposed to be ski in ski out, warning. With Vail being the new owners they are scrimping on staff, lift service, snowmaking and quality of service. Ski in ski out trails were not open at end of January with no excuse as weather had been perfect for snowmaking and grooming for quite some time. It would be great location if Vail were to pony up and pay for snowmaking like they advertise.

Pool was nice.
It said on the website that it was a ski in / ski out location and when we got there the lift was closed due to staffing issues. We were not able to ski in ski out. It was very disappointing. It was the only reason we chose to stay there.

The Concierge lady was very nice and helpful. She helped us with the hiking trails we planned to do
The shower head in the bathroom is very cheap, it has only one setting to spray water. It sprays as wide hollow cone giving a feeling that you are not getting water on your whole body.
