A lovely two night stay

Gorgeous boutique hotel, well located in the historic part of the city. Easy to get the shuttle to the other part of town. Lovely pool area and gym too. Well appointed room and lovely finishes

No complimentary tea/coffee in lobby. WiFi was patchy when not used in room, e.g couldn’t access poolside. Shame room didn’t have a tub as was traveling with young children who don’t enjoy showers (though it was a great shower!)

Nickel and dimed, nice room

The room was beautiful, halls quiet. It seems the restaurant, bar area and pool is relatively new, but it’s very well laid out and will be really nice once trees and plants mature

Before arrival I got several text welcoming me and reminding me of details, but once arrived on the property, texts went unanswered and no one picked up when I dialed zero from the room a couple of times for reception and service. Since I had kids, I requested a room near the pool, I had seen the rooms before and realized that all or most rooms on the bottom floor had a back patio area. As I understood from talking to other guests, there was no special cost associated with a bottom floor “ standard” room, don’t know if it was just to ensure I got this room, or for what other reason I was charged an additional $25. I wasn’t sure how their service went as far as in room water with some metal jars and with three children – we needed more water which we ended up getting by the pool area out of the large coolers. Every single thing was monetized, $3 for a bag of tea, none free in room. Parking was $18, coffees were for purchase, and there was no breakfast.

Home away from home.

This is our home away from home. We love coming to The Hotel Chalet. The staff are all so nice and friendly. It's close to our appts and restaurants are in abundance.

The only thing I really don't like is how uncomfortable the patio chairs are. The chairs could use some sort of padding. Even if you're a small person the seats of the patio chairs leave marks on the backs of your legs.

Very unique & clean & loved having a patio. It us a nice place to have a couple of beers & gave my husband a nice place to smoke his cigar

We felt the fee for parking was excessive especially if you stay more than 1night. It would get very costly

Excellent!!

Very convenient to great downtown locations!! Excellent facilities! Exceptional service from Jordan and Corey!!!

The Saturday front desk manager, Jonathan, was not very friendly and even after I had confirmed three times with three wonderful people, part of my party’s arrival on Saturday morning was disrupted and he was rude to my daughter and son in law and then gave us all the cold shoulder the rest of the day.

A taste of Victorian luxury in the heart of downtown

Quiet room, comfortable, even luxurious. Could have stayed a whole week!

Need better signage directing you from drive to the hotel itself. No breakfast included. Weak cell phone signal. Parking is $18 a day.

Heart of Chattanooga

Clean, great location, nice pool, great staff!

No complimentary water in room & no ice machine. Staff was nice to get it from kitchen but would be more convenient for guests to be able to get it. They did have a water refillable station but you needed a water bottle to be able to fill it.

Over all, we enjoyed our stay and will return in the future. Was a great value.

Bell man was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Front desk personnel assisted with a charge mistake and rectified it immediately.

I was surprised that coffee was not available in the lobby free of charge, charge for coffee in the room was ridiculously priced. Need to ensure the refrigerator is marked that the items inside are "for purchase only" otherwise "do not open".

There is really nothing not to like about this hotel. The location is great. It is right in the middle of everything. You can walk to about anywhere you need to go. The decor was absolutely amazing! The room was very clean and the staff was very nice.

Really there wasn’t any negatives, the only thing I can think of is my hot water went out in the shower for a minute or two but it came right back.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Das Hotel mit einer wunderschönen Lobby liegt direkt neben dem Bahnhof mit dem Choo Choo. Man konnte zu Fuß nette Lokale und den Bahnhof erreichen. Die Zimmer (wir sind spontan eine Nacht länger geblieben und einmal umgezogen) waren groß, sehr gut ausgestattet und die besten, die wir auf einem langen Road Trip hatten. Frühstück hatten wir nicht gebucht. Waren in einer tollen Bäckerei um die Ecke, Niedlov‘s. Wir bekamen Gutscheine für einen Willkommensdrink in einer wunderschönen Bar nebenan.

Es war etwas hellhörig, weil es ein Zimmer mit Verbindungstür war. Nebenan und gegenüber wohnte eine Familie mit kleinen Kindern, die bis Mitternacht sehr laut waren. Dafür kann das Hotel aber nichts. Trotzdem war es ein sehr schöner komfortabler Aufenthalt.

Twice was enough trust me spend more for nicer

I like that it is close to our favorite restaurant

The fact that this was our second stay… first time was awful but it was during renovations…. Toilet handle kept coming off, manager kept reiterating that he wasn’t charging me this time, was originally given the wrong room, have 4 charges on my card! They charge 75.00 for incidentals and that is completely fine, but if you have to charge something…. That is a whole nother charge!!! I’ve had bills decline now out of my account today thanks to that! Second time was enough for me and my family

Our stay was ok. The hotel is undergoing more maintenance than I had imagined.

The property was historic and it seemed safe for the area. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is undergoing major renovations and is basically torn apart. It is very loud and the water was turned off one day we were there. The first night we were in our room the phone in our room range 7 times during the night beginning around 8:30 p.m. and not stopping until we left the hotel the next morning. Also the walls are very thin.

The location and the staff

I was very disappointed in the state of the hotel and surrounding grounds. Everything was under renovation and was not told about this prior to making reservations. The grounds were ropped off making it difficult to walk from one Part of the hotel to the other without tripping over debris.

we have stayed at the choo choo a few times and have always loved it. we look forward to the gardens.

the property is under renovation, no where on the website does it state that construction is going on. The pool is under renovation, and the gardens as well. we traveled with our children, they were upset that the only things they had to do were not available.

The staff was great; super friendly with little tips. The location was perfect!

There was a ton of construction, so nothing looked like the pictures which I could have gotten past because the location was so great (we could go elsewhere for the atmosphere), BUT the rooms were super uncomfortable. The beds were probably the worst we had ever slept on... ever, and the AC kept making loud banging noises as it would go on and off waking us up.
