Would NOT stay here again. Overpriced and dirty.

The room had a king size bed, which we paid extra for. The location is in walking distance to the main street. It was nice to have a kitchen with dishes, refrigerator and microwave.

The room and floors were filthy. There was no hot water in the shower so we couldn't take a shower. Having mentioned this to the office attendant at check out, she responded, "Oh", as in Oh well, not my problem. When we checked out the hot spring tubs here, oh my god, they were gross. Filthy. Thank goodness for the other hot springs down the road on the river.

Cute property; just needs repair

Mineral springs are a great addition. Tubs need repair

The air conditioning was not adequate to cool the room. The air conditioning unit was very old and had duct tape on it. The room had a stale air smell.

Passable

The AC in the room could not keep up with the heat. I doubt our room ever got below 75 degrees during the night. We slept very poorly due to how warm the room was during the evening. Would have been nice after a hot day out on the lake. Maybe supplying a fan in each room would help.

I loved the hot mineral baths. It is an older facility but well maintained. Clean and comfortable.

Exceptional

We stayed in one of the PAM apartments, and loved it. It was cozy and clean, had a stove, microwave, full refrigerator, and a nice hot shower. The private hot spring baths are located in the main office building and are just amazing. The tubs are really deep and long enough for someone 6 ft tall to lay down completely. They bath rooms are all nicely colored in NM colors, and are private and romantic. The staff was also incredibly kind and welcoming. I highly recommend staying here. You definitely get your money's worth.

Unusual, but comfortable and fun

Interesting, quirky motel featuring soaking tubs fed by water from underlying hot springs. Excellent value; comfortable room with good mattress.

It could be a fun place, but it is shabby and not very comfortable.

I love New Mexico's quirkiness and the Pelican Spa filled that niche quite well. I liked that they tried to preserve something old and not just tear it down.

Unfortunately, the room reeked badly of stale cigarette smoke. The whole thing is plaster and years of smoking have permeated it. The bathroom was barely functional with the toilet squeezed behind the sink, it was hard for an adult to get to it. The curtains were so flimsy that the streetlights glared through them. The kitchen had nothing useful in it, not even a knife to cut up an apple. When I went to the office to inquire about a soak in the hot springs I was greeted by a clerk who haughtily replied "First, I am going to need you to lower your voice." I was speaking in my normal voice. The Japanese style soaking tubs were dingy, claustrophobic and depressing and nothing looked clean. It's a shame as it could be a very cool place with a some careful updating.

I was told I would also get compensation for this room due to filthy room nothing yet

Great place to enjoy the hot springs!

Pelican Spa is a great place to visit if you want to enjoy the benefits of the hot springs. The water has many minerals that can have healing properties. Truth or Consequences is such a charming little town that deserves a visit and Pelican Spa is a great place to enjoy your visit.

Nice overnight spot

Liked the free access to the spa baths, the size of the apartment and that it was well equipped.

Charging a credit card fee over and above the full payment made via Booking.com. was only told later that I should have paid cash to avoid a credit card fee. For a room that cost $85 for the night they could have at least included the credit card fee.

The property was awesome. Great decor, comfortable, awesome amenities and very laidback and nice staff

our room had its own mineral bath but was adjacent to office. loved having our own mineral spa but a window even though had curtain directly to office and door adjacent to office was a tad uncomfortable for privacy.

I enjoyed the Japanese style Hot Spring Bathes & opportunity of having a kitchenette to cook in during my stay.

One of my bathroom towels we're not clean and had a fowl order, thank goodness I had a towel of my own from camping.

Always enjoy my stays at the Pelican Spas. We've been staying there for years when we visit , and will definitely stay again.

Staff is always friendly and helpful. They also always have great recommendations on where to eat.

Easy check-in & helpful staff. Good dinner recommendation. Was quiet. I pickrd it largely due to pet policy, but It was fine. Other guests used the kitchen for breakfadt. I might try that next time.

Not good at all :( very sad about it

The color of the rooms thats it .

Moms Room Had black mold in shower and a man stocking me at my moms and my window. so, she got really scared and want to leave that night when we arrived, but I can't drive in the dark, so i moved her into my room. bubbled paint on ceilings from it looks to be water. My mom I both are allergic to black mold. I had my dogs with me and when the stocker was around my dogs freaked out and scratched at the door and went crazy barking. So yes, not a good stay at all. I did get a refund of $204.00, but we paid $504.00 for everything. I won't be back. I was very disappointed and scared.

Was surprised that it was an apartment rather than just a bedroom.

There was no air conditioning in the main living area just 2 window units in kitchen and bedroom. Living area needs own unit or a ceiling fan to circulate air. They need to clarify that their rooms are a complete apartment not just one room and that no one is available after a certain time to check you in without making arrangements. Also owner or emergency contact person is very rude, even more like hostile when contacted with problem. Rating of Good is because of last 2 comments.

A funky hippie place that is as advertised. A good value. The spa tubs were interesting.

Staff was nice and very efficient. We liked the funky artsy decor. It was very clean. Beds were ok. Definitely a hippie place to stay which was fine by us. There were a lot of young people congregated around rooms and in the communal courtyard and one couple set up speakers and blasted music. This might be a positive for some - but we were glad that our room was farther away where it was quiet.

One of the rooms in the casita never quite cooled down even with the air blasting. A fan would have been fantastic. There was a space heater in the closet for the winter I supposed, but a fan would have been great.

Cheerful place with very helpfull staff

Room was exactly as pictured in the website. Bathroom a bit too small but totally doable if you are not a plus size person. We were only looking for a comfortable place to sleep and have a shower before attending a funeral. We would stay at the Pelikan again, but in another room, for a vacation stay. Husband loved his experience at the spa.

Bathroom too small and no place to organize toiletries. Irrelevant though, given the circumstances, and we booked the room already knowing that.

The light shining in the window from the back patio shines right in your eyes while in bed.
