Waters Edge offers the convenience of having a small beach and pool right on the property. There are a few restaurant options for food as well.
The rooms are clean and comfortable.
The sunset/low tide experience was really nice; probably the highlight of the trip-watching our kids run around on the sand bars while the sky lit up.
While this beach was fine for my toddlers, it was nothing impressive. The sand is more dirt-like, and the chairs near the water (the ones you need in order to watch small children) were 100% claimed the 2 days we were there. The beach service was very limited as was the menu.
At checkout, my sister-in-law who was in front of me in line requested late checkout and had zero issues; right after, I followed suit and asked and was denied?? I found this to be bizarre.
As expected, the food costs are high ($45 for a lobster roll; $10 for a kids hot dog; $15 for 3 chicken tenders; $20 for a very very sad looking kids cheese pizza); the food we ate was decent at best. (The fine dining food looked very good but we did not try). The outdoor bar food service at dinner time was painfully slow and our kids became while feral waiting around.
The indoor pool is outdated with limited pool deck/seating space. The towel rack was empty when we used it for the second time.

The common facilities were perfectly fine. Everything was just a bit dated and rooms were average. We did not use the pools or spas.
Beach was a lot smaller than expected and dirtier than expected - not entirely the resorts fault; it was the people that were disgusting and it was a shame that the staff had to pick up dirty diapers, etc. off the beach. We did not spend any days there and went elsewhere to enjoy beaches in CT. The elderly woman servicing guests for the breakfast was quite rude and not hospitable.

The view is amazing. The pool is very refreshing and relaxing. The rooms are very spacious.
The toilet clogged. The pool closes early during the week.

The property is absolutely stunning.

Location, view, grounds and staff were excellent.
The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. Both my daughter and I did not get a good nights rest. Everything else was perfect but this put a damper on the stay.

bathrooms are dated as well as the rooms

The check-in process was quick and easy. Lovely, knowledgeable young lady assisted me. The room was spotless and smelled freshly cleaned. All mechanicals worked fine, A/C and heat. The view was, as always, wonderful..
The service at the bar was horrendous. I had to ask for a menu and silverware after waiting quite a long time to even order a glass of wine. The bar wasn't full, yet the bartender was absolutely overwhelmed and inefficient. I ordered a salad , since I thought that would be a quick and easy choice, but I wasn't offered a choice of protein, which were clearly available. This is not the service I have come to know and expect at Water's Edge. Other diners remarked that their food came out ice cold and their request for bread and extra sauce for the entree was ignored or forgotten. They were disappointed also.

Beach location was nice. Received discounted price from Booking.com
We were not impressed. The room was very basic with an old, small TV and not many offerings. Nothing special, especially for the high price.

Spacious room. Very friendly service. Will return for a longer stay.

The location was great. The room we stayed in was clean and had comfortable beds. Staff was friendly.
The bathroom could be nicer if it were updated. Spa facilities like the sauna and steam room also need upgrading. We had dinner at the Seaview Bistro and unfortunately the soup they served was lukewarm and the steak tough.

Great room, great view, great staff at Julie’s, helpful attendants though they kept running out of beach towels, excellent cocktails at Danilo, beautiful flowers, good music, a happy place.
Shower was dangerous due to lack of grips,
Datillos lost our reservation even though I had confirmed it earlier in the day. Food was very average for an expensive restaurant. Menu dishes did not inspire. Seemed like the kitchen did not take pride in what they were doing.

The beach is wonderful. It never felt crowded and our server for the day (Alex) was the best.
Limited breakfast options. I knew Sunday was buffet only but was surprised to also find only breakfast buffets available on a Monday. Both mornings we drove to a nearby coffee shop for breakfast (shout out Julie’s). The food overall isn’t great and a bit overpriced. The burger I ordered one night was a cheap frozen patty.

The television was not user friendly.
