Not worth it and not relaxing.

Not much. Stale pastries and a limited selection of cereal. No fruit or yogurt. Short amount of time only went from 8 AM to 10 AM. then it was locked up. No coffee at all after that.

The owner was creepy. He had cameras all over the place and spied on every one. When I confronted him about it he became very argumentative and defensive about it. Children could not take a beach ball into the pool area and he would confront them about it and not in a friendly manner. he would make snide comments to us such as I see that you really like coffee. That tipped me off that he was spying on us and he admitted to spying on the guests. I could go on forever about the owner.

Not a good value.

Room was clean upon arrival.

Had to request housekeeping. We returned after a full day to find a bag of towels on chair outside of room. Used towels and trash not picked up. Towels were like using a loofah sponge. W Dehumidifier would beep and wake us up in middle of night. Staff showed us how to empty it ourselves!

the starlite was clean, comfortable and exceptionally easy to get in and out.

did not have breakfast. the coffee was not very good.

I liked everything about the motel. It was updated and cleaned (as advertised). The beds were comfortable and the shower a\had great water pressure.

kind and helpful staff, very clean rooms. slept very comfortable and the bathroom simple but quite clean and well put to

Easy to find, unique and well lit sign which was quite helpful due to town not being very well lighted along majority of the roads. Parking was clean and the spaces were not narrow which myself and many other truck owners could appreciate. Pool, seating area to relax, led light poles. feels quite up to date and well lit. surprised to even see it has charging stations as well

I think the office exterior needs a little something to make it more noticeable, inside is nice don’t get me wrong but the outside will come along eventually I feel.

Excellent stay! Will be back!

We went up to Saugatuck during the lake effect winter storm. We debated canceling our trip, but we are so glad we didn’t! We called twice to ask about weather and road conditions. when we arrived, the parking lot was plowed and salted and remained that way the entire weekend, our rooms were clean and even had a small space heater in the bathroom which was very nice to have, and we couldn’t ask for a better location for what we wanted to do.

Will definitely be returning!

Big room, comfy bed and all VERY clean. The grounds were beautiful with several firepits, grills and sitting areas...not to mention the great pool and hot tub area!

The ONLY thing I would have preferred was more water pressure in the shower, but there was always plenty of hot water. All in all, Walt and his family have done an amazing job at making this place a great stay in Saugatuck!

A very nice place to stay on a budget!

Very well taken care of motel. The rooms were updated and clean and they were very friendly. The pool was clean and heated. Located in a very convenient location.

A Sweet Spot to Stay

The staff was very personable and accommodating. The rooms were very clean. It was nice and quiet and a great place to relax and get a good night's sleep. The fire pits were lovely, and a nice way to meet folks who are also traveling. If you are looking for a big, corporate place with a bunch of bells and whistles and a big food selection, this isn't for you. If you are interested in a charming, lovely, basic hotel to sleep while you are in SW Michigan, this is a fabulous choice.

Starlite is a wonderful throwback era hotel. The grounds and rooms were immaculate and both employees of the property were extremely friendly and gracious hosts. I have stayed at Starlite once before and I came back because of the positive experience...AND, I will stay there again, if available, as the grounds will make you smile in memory of what many motels used to be like in earlier years (MidCentury). The place isn't outdated by any means. The property is kept with a pride that you rarely see anymore. Loved, Loved, Loved it.

Our stay at the Starlite was wonderful, clean, friendly, nice location.

Starlite Resort is very clean and close to town. Rooms have comfortable beds, plenty of towels. The place was very peaceful. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again in the future. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
