such a charming old inn with so much character! Most of the rooms are very small but we got lucky and had a room with a sitting area. Very clean and well maintained, with typical old building quirks. Great location to explore Saugatuck on foot.
Parking can be a challenge, but to be expected in Saugatuck.

Proximity to town
People walking down the hall at nite the flooring made noises.

Hotel location is fantastic - located right in Downtown Saugatuck. You can go out the door and walk to anywhere in the city. Located on a main street and in between a city park and the post office. Staff are so efficient, friendly and helpful. Daily breakfast is so delicious and presented in such a lovely manner.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We loved everything. Only suggestion might be to add a Keurig type hot drink maker, so that coffee and tea could be available throughout the day.

Breakfast was very convenient, simple, and delicious. There was an option for eating in a sunroom (which we chose each morning) which was lovely. The hotel was charming and convenient to everything in downtown Saugatuck. Even though parking is "limited" we had no trouble parking - either in the Maplewood's own parking lot, or across the street in front of the hotel proper. The room itself was quiet, and clean, and the bathroom was very nice.
The coffee was a weak. I thought the bean was a good choice, but brew was weak (which is probably a safer choice for the masses than making it too strong). However, the coffee worked nonetheless and was available every morning. The mattress was a bit soft, but there were plentiful excellent pillows.

Breakfast was very good, on time and in a relaxing atmosphere. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend the location to others. Price was reasonably for the area.
The second story room was difficult for my wife to get to, because she is currently suffering from a pinched nerve in her hip, this was not the fault of the B&B. The weather was great and warm which made it difficult to cool the room, but the AC unit worked was just blowing on you while sleeping.

Breakfast was homemade and delicious

Our breakfasts were different every day. Each was excellent. We always chose to eat in the garden room. We could see the children playing on the Playground. We took a dip every day in the pool after breakfast. What a great way to start our daily adventure!
There is not one negative thing about our stay!

We had a marvelous stay at Maplewood. We were looking for a stop between Mackinac Island and Chicago and this place was perfect! I traveled with my husband and 17 month old. There was a park right next door for my son to enjoy and we all enjoyed the lovely breakfast that was served. The room was very clean and the beds super comfortable. I was a little nervous about staying here with a toddler but he loved it and everyone was so accommodating! Our only disappointment is that our stay wasn’t longer. We look forward to returning and staying at the Maplewood again!

Very close and convenient to everything. Loved the big soaking bathtub. Great breakfast. Very nice staff. Beautiful hotel and room was large and comfortable.
My only complaint, which really isn’t that big of a deal. Bathroom door would not shut all the way. And mirror in bathroom was so high on the wall I could barely see the top of my head. No parking on site. Had to park a couple blocks away.

Centrally located
Not enough light in room to read.
When I asked for a local map (when we left) we got a nice magazine for he area telling us about local options of things to do and see. It REALLY would’ve been good to give that to us when we arrived!!!

Fantastic place! We will definitely be back!
