Clean, comfortable and affordable! I call that a win!

Great location—easy to find, easily able to walk to downtown Placid, 1-2 minute drive in opposite direction is Walgreens should you have forgotten any thing/want snacks (who doesn’t want snacks?!) and just beyond that is Stewart’s (region-specific gas/convenient store) and a plaza with a grocery store and Marshall’s. Room was VERY clean and smelled amazing; lights were on (think modern day, MUCH cuter Motel 6 with their slogan “we’ll leave the light on for you!”) and Alexa was playing soft jazz. Bed is comfy—blankets are just enough for that added weight, pillows are typical hotel pillows with not enough support, but my fragile 🙄 neck means I always bring my own pillow and the fridge kept my water nice and cold. There’s a little sitting space (in the King room) with 2 chairs and a small table, towels aren’t sandpaper and the bathroom mirror/lighting wont make you look like an ogre. You will get your room number/door code around 1pm-ish the day of arrival. I know this because I got anxious at 12:40 as I hadn’t received it and called. The very nice person that answered manually pushed it through to give to me and that’s how I learned 1pm is The Time 🤣. There’s no typical “front desk”. Rate for the night was decent for the area. Most hotels/motels charge a ridiculous per night rate (Crowne Plaza, Marriott and others, I’m looking at you!), but this place wasn’t one that required me to choose between groceries for the week or an overnight stay away. I hope they keep it like this. I know rates will fluctuate based on time of year/events going on, but I still think some are ridiculous (Marriott, Crowne Plaza…I’m still looking at you!). Whether you’re looking for an overnight stay, a weekend or even a week, give this place a try. You’ll be happy.

There wasn’t any hand soap, but Walgreens is close by and spending $2.09 on soap wasn’t a big deal. Plus, most soaps in hotels/motels aren’t antibacterial anyways

Stay was great. Great restaurants.. enjoyed atmosphere and picturesque views..

The room was new, it had a pool. It was clean. Place was walking distance to town. Bed and pillows was very comfortable. Large room.

Needs in door lock on the door on the inside. Need more places to hang towels. Towel rack was broken. No soap or shampoo. No closet or place to hang clothes. Was missing refrigerator. Saw it was outside on balcony.

Perfect stay in Lake Placid!

Loved the location, great proximity to hiking locations and quick walk to town center. Room was clean and nicely updated and staff was very helpful in answering questions. Wished we had the time to light a fire in the outdoor fire pit!

Having the community kitchen was great, but could have used a bit of a cleaning… and wine bottle opener!

It was a modern clean room. The beds were comfortable.

I wish they had a chair by the entrance to be able to change out of my winter gear. Also, while the front window has blackout curtains, the back window needs the same. There's lots of sun coming in! The heater needs to be updated. It doesn't turn off automatically since it keeps running. I had to shut if off myself when it got uncomfortable

Very clean and spacious. Management team were quick to respond to a small issue we had and fixed it without any problems. Great location, just a short walk from Lake Placid Main Street. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice value for a stay in Lake Placid, but a few things to fix before we would return.

As other reviewers have said, the room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable! The location was OK, but still a walk to the beginning of the main street "strip." No view whatsoever. The extra heater in the bathroom was a nice touch.

The lights in the bathroom above the mirror were obviously not working (and hadn't worked for some time), as someone installed a makeshift light on the wall which didn't produce much light. So, it was hard to see when getting ready in the morning. The deadbolt didn't work on the door. I'm not sure it ever worked, because the bolt didn't line up with the hole no matter what you did. So, the only lock on the door was the flimsy door handle lock. We felt safe enough at night, but I was concerned that someone could break in during the day. There was no safe or anything to store any valuables.

Key didn’t work at check in and I had to wait for manager to arrive at site. Painters working on site let me use a bathroom while I waited. They were contractors, not staff.
