The location in Old Town Scottsdale is one of my favorite places to stay. It is a bit of a college area but in general the area is clean and safe.
We arrived at the property around 1am and unfortunately we were't able to check-in to our room because the property was running their nightly audit. We weren't able to talk to anyone in person because the front desk closes at 1030pm so we had to call the property from the parking lot. We were told by both the night manager and corporate customer service that, no one can be checked-in during the audit process. They can't even issue keys to rooms during this time. We were given the option to "wait in the parking lot till about 3-4am when the audit completed or find another hotel." (EXACT WORDS) The corporate customer service rep did attempt to find another property in the area for us to stay but there was no availability close by. I've never had this happen before and we were extremely upset and disappointed. We stayed at a Holiday Inn Express down the street without issue. Yes, we did tell the hotel we would be arriving late after 11pm. Also, Booking.com list the property as a "hotel" and it is actually a "motel", (i.e. doors on the outside.) Not a super big deal, but wanted to make a note of that.

Feeling safe in this area. Have not had breakfast here.
There was a person trying to get in my room. Front desk said it was a system and they apologized.

I had a nice person to help me with check in. Manager was very understanding. Her name is Amy.
Room was comfortable but a little smaller than expected

Moved us cos the 1st room stunk like ganja.
Cigarette butts all over the parking lot and people smoking outside the rooms. Continental brkfst ends too early and won’t go not 1 minute past the time.

Location
Rooms were small, smelt of stale smoke and the pool was empty.

The location was good.
First of all no information was given when checked in about a water shut off. There was a dirty rag sitting on the toilet and the basin was dirty. The floor hasn’t been cleaned in what seemed like months- after an hour my feet was black underneath. When going to sleep we couldn’t figure out how to turn the lamp off which was on when we arrived and figured out that the button has been broken in so we had to remove the bulb to be able to sleep with it off (which probably wasn’t a safe idea)

It was in Scottsdale
The room smelled like cigarette smoke, facility is old, and I was charged twice. Booking.com charged me and then the hotel charged me. So far, I haven't got any refunds

Not one thing.
We walked in the room and immediately walked out, canceled our reservation and went somewhere else. The room was FILTHY, shower had dirty scum in the bottom, the refrigerator top had a greasy dusty film, the carpets were stained, garbage behind the dresser, and the shower rod was coming out of the drywall.
I have to say the desk clerk Jordan was a doll!! He was so sweet and understanding, immediately checked us in and out.

All. Urine stained mattress

Location was convenient.
It was really just a place to rest your head and get cleaned up. No frills really. Have been to other long term stay hotels with much cleaner and modern rooms and 24 hour staffing.

location
run down. never got the dishes we asked for twice

Nice check-in representative on Friday.
Unsanitary; health department should shut down. Property completely misrepresented. Broken equipment; bed frame cut our shins. Even though there was a 'kitchen' there were no pans, utensils, coffee maker, not even a napkin. No breakfast as promised, only hot water.

. Clean, comfortable and quiet.
Wifi was weak and not dependable.

Good location.
Didn't come close to meeting my expectations. Booking gave me the wrong address to the hotel and I ended up making an extra 30 min trip. The lock to my room was broken as well as the shower, blinds and shower curtains. The bath tub and sink were dirty. The bathroom door handle was broken as well. The furniture and paint were peeling. Not the Scottsdale quality I was expecting.

the staff was wonderful, super friendly and helpful and could get me whatever I needed to make myself more comfortable and the location was great.
the room was spotless when I got in.
the key cards get too easily demagnetized and I got locked out 5 times. the staff was helpful every time though. even holding the key in the hand my watch was on would do it.
