The surrounding is quiet, parking is on the side of the road. The room, kitchen and bathroom are large enough, clean and tidy, and the supplies are relatively complete. The owner was warm and friendly and helped us very well.

A little further from the city center, about 20 minutes by car. There is no elevator, and you have to climb stairs, which is more laborious for people with large suitcases. Also lack of hair dryer. But these are not big problems.

Absolutely nothing. Rather than staying, we dumped the money we had already spent and immediately booked another (way better) accommodation.

While we booked under the understanding of having reserved two apartments with separated rooms, or at least separated areas for living and sleeping, we found one of them to be a single, large room, with four beds, all packed together. The published pictures, while representing the rented rooms, did not allow us to fully understand what we were signing up for (albeit the low price compared to other options should have warned us off…) and did not represent in full how sad the whole apartments (and the overall location itself) looked in real. The fact that the guest only spoke Portuguese did not help making ourselves understood nor understanding what he was telling us…

amazing, clean, comfortable

The owner was very welcoming and always ready to help out with whatever is needed. The property exceeded my expectations it was much bigger and beautiful than I expected. The property was only 2/3 minutes away from the train station and same with bus stops. Definitely would love to stay there again and I definitely recommend it. I stayed for 3 weeks and everything was always cleaned, bed sheets changed, new towels and more.

* Outside of the busy areas. * Balcony & window to the north side: Not hot in summer, good view. * The room has a fridge, cutlery, plates, hot water kettle, and free tea/ instant coffee in the room. * Urbanos train station "Rio Tintoo" very close, from there frequent trains to Porto Campanhã (2 stops) and Porto São Bento (3 stops, city centre). Metro station "Campainha" also not far. * Bathroom of my single room is via the corridor, but it is still a private bathroom.

* During the day, the dog from the neighbours outside could be heard regularly. * Price. Although Porto-area is not cheap, I still find it a bit expensive for my budget in absolute terms. * Bathroom of my single room is via the corridor, but it is still a private bathroom.

Life in the Porto suburb.

Dino’s Rio Tinto is located about four windy blocks from the train station and about a 20 minute train ride to the center of Porto. It is a good location for those whom want to explore Portugal’s north due to its proximity to various train connections going north or south.

There’s a reason it has a 9+ rating :)

Joaquin was a perfect host; he is very kind, understanding, and a genuinely good human being. The apartment is very spacious, very quiet, and the bathroom is even better than a brand name hotel. The bed was very comfortable and had four plush pillows. We really enjoyed our multi night stay here and will definitely be back when we return to Porto. If you see this place available make sure you book it.

Pleasant

Friendly helpful host, clean room, comfortable with all required for comfortable stay. Near supermarkets and train station. Welcoming ambience immediately upon entry. A toaster and handheld blender (can be small) would also be useful and ensure everything is catered for..

Would have rated this property 8 or 9 but unfortunately there is a dog and a lot of dog mess, not cleaned Room 2 which is over the dog kernel meaning I couldn't comfortably use the balcony and a slight ordour emitted, on doing so, it also caused flies so couldn't leave the windows open but there is air conditioning.. The mess was cleared after I complained but this marred an otherwise lovely, relaxing stay.

An excellent and spotlessly clean place, if you do not need internet access

This place is absolutely great, has just one major flaw - terrible internet. If internet is not an issue for you or you use your mobile, you will love it. The appartment is in a house which has appartments on the first floor. In the bottom part is empty, part is where the host family live - there and in the house next to it. When you ring the bell downstairs they come, so transferring the key is super easy. You can park the car in the street, places are plentiful. The biggest thing is the cleaniness. The appartment is absolutely spotless. It is also cleaned daily, with exchanged towels. Really makes you feel like a hotel. It is well equipped in the kitchen, with also small bottles of water for us. The bathroom is great as well. If you do not need the internet, you will feel almost perfect. The owners were very nice people.

The internet access was terrible. I wasted a lot of time trying to get connected. I work remotely and needed to do a few things on my laptop, but could not. I asked the owner about it, got the answer it is not possible to do anything. I am sorry but writing there is "Free WiFI" and then providing such botched access is not acceptable. The place is in a town next to Porto, not in the middle of nowhere. It might be the issue of having one modem which is too far away from the appartment - as the issue persisted regardless of day- or nighttime. The place could really use probably another modem. There was some noise from the corridor, the door is not the most soundproof. But not a lot and we could sleep in peace. There is a day-care center across the street from our appartment, but in the summer there was no one there.
