The hotel was full of historic decor. The indoor common area and rooftop patio were great spaces for hanging out.
If you're not a couple the shower door open to the room could be more exposure than you want with your room mate

You cannot beat the location if you want to be right in the heart of downtown SLO. This inn is very charming. The bar is great (although we never ate in the restaurant). Bikes are available to cruise around the city, which is a nice bonus.
Wish they had king-sized beds, but that is to be expected at an inn.

The location was perfect! Walking distance from town and we happened to be there on a Thursday for the Farmer's Market which made the location even better for that!
The parking was small and tight, we did not find a space at the time of our check in. The room was also very small, we hardly found room to put our two suitcases.
4.3
The location and the attached Bistro. Food at Bistro was excellent, while the menu was limited.
The heat was non-functional. Reported first day. Told it would be addressed. Never fixed or explained. The room was musty and smelled. The staff tried hard, but their solutions seemed limited. The rooms are odd and funky/weird. Decore looks like early 80's. On our way home we got a call that we had not returned key, we explained we dropped it off at front desk. Representative became defensive and told us they could not find it and they would charge us. Inquired if they had checked front desk; she told me I was being defensive!

it was pouring rain, so I can’t tell about the location (just a one night stopover) but there was a nice restaurant which the front desk got us reservations in.
the design is really cool- urban hipster meets wild, Wild West bordello! we loved it.
it was quiet, comfortable and rustic chic.
4.3
Amazing location, right downtown.
It would have been nice if they offered more at breakfast or at least offered breakfast in the dining room.

so original. Not like the usual
chain. Clever decor. sense of history.
rooms a little bit cramped but we managed. really nothing to not like.

Location and the Bistro
poorly thought out rooms, strange configurations and too small for furniture and guests. TV didn’t work in one room and air conditioning didn’t work in a second room. Lightning in dangerously dark, especially in common areas. No elevator all guest rooms on second floor.

Really cool historic building, clean rooms, very comfortable beds. Staff is very attentive and helpful.
It could use better lighting in both the rooms and the hallways and nooks. Also, a full length mirror somewhere in the room is needed.

location and staff
no coffee in the rooms

We loved the breakfast selections, hotel was very quaint and great location! Loved the idea of having the bikes but didn’t get to ride them. loved the brick and style of the rooms! Reminded me of Boston! Right across from Sephora and pottery barn and 10 seconds away from the Thursday evening farmer’s market and lots of restaurants!
The coffee was lukewarm, too pricey, and our room was not ready but gave us two free drink tickets and the two girls were really sweet and one was so cute and bubbly. The sheets also didn’t that well

We love the hotel.
Unfortunately we ran late for check in and the person at the front desk was definitely annoyed by this.

The hotel is attractive and has nice guest lounge on the second floor, with indoor and outdoor seating. My room overlooked the parking lot and was by a door, but ended up being quite quiet (weeknight stay). It was large and comfortable.
I was surprised that an in-town hotel would charge a "resort fee" (I think $30).
4.3
The staff knows how to greet people they also know how to look at people when they're talking to them
The hallway to the breakfast area which is about 8 ft long was a little under lit even in the daylight there's like three tricky steps they're not good for the elderly people

This hotel has character! great outdoor spaces, lounge areas and restaurant
The shower was in the room with no door and overall it was very dark in the room.

Wonderful accommodations. The hotel is in a beautifully restored vintage building in the middle of town. The hotel bar was amazing as well. Highly , highly recommended - we will stay here again.
Room was a little small but it was beautiful and the ambiance made up for it in spades.

The breakfast was good. Love the location to the city center. Friendly staff, and very swanky. It’s a beautiful property.
It’s a little noisy for those that want to sleep early. But it’s a great hotel

I used to live in SLO and always wanted to stay at Granada Hotel. I’m happy to report that it lived up to my expectations! The hotel is beautifully designed with an excellent location in downtown SLO. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that there is breakfast included in the room rate, even though this isn’t mentioned on booking.com. The alleyway to the parking lot is small as others have mentioned, but I was able to drive my Toyota Rav4 in and out every day without any issues
The sink in my room was very small so it was difficult to wash my face without getting water everywhere. The rooms are quite dark at night, but I read in the welcome packet that you can request extra lighting from the front desk; I didn’t end up doing that though so can’t give more details

Great location. All the details of the room and stay were very nice.
The room was very small.

Staff is nice, breakfast patio is cute.
the room is dark with all lights on, it's the style but to us it was too dark...hotel parking space is limited and the parking location hard to find. Do pay attention to the super narrow entrance to the parking - our tire went completely flat by hitting the entrance edge. and we are not the only one who had bad luck at the parking entrance. be sure to drive super slowly and pay extra attention or park elsewhere.

This is a cute, boutique hotel right off Higuera Street so it's close to all the action. Rooms are in the style of European rooms. Our room was one of two that shared a small patio with a fireplace. Bonus!
Well, there wasn't a closet to hang our clothes, just a hook with a few hangers in front of a mirror next to the bed. That was unexpected in an unpleasant way.
