Location was awesome! 2 blocks from the beach. Restaurants surrounded us!
Breakfast was too simple

very clean, great location, lovely hotel

Very close to the beach and the hotel provides beach equipment - chairs, umbrella for guest to use free of charge. Located close to excellent restaurants and shopping. The included breakfast is very good!

the location is great, just a 5 minute walk to the beach, and 2 minutes to restaurants and stores. The hotel has a nice, private outside garden sitting area. The hotel is well maintained and quiet.
it is a bit pricey. The rooms are fine. Could use Netflix or some other streaming service. Breakfast is continental.

Location is great! Hotel is quaint and attractive. Breakfast was good. Bed and linens were comfortable. We enjoyed the complimentary bikes.
I could not wash my hair because there was so little water from the shower. It might have been easier in the sink. It also made for a cold experience because there’s no shower door or heater in the bathroom.
Also, the room heater is a ridiculous and frustrating experience to try to operate. It took 2 hours to heat up after finally figuring it out with the manager and then 2 hours to cool down after turning it off—everyday. These two items alone would prevent us from ever staying here again despite the excellent location and environment.

Everything was so nice with such a nice personal touch.
Breakfast was lacking. Wish there would’ve been more hot options.

Small niche hotel was very nice!
Very quaint 1929 authenticity!
Cool old elevator!
The room was very nice.
The bed, linens, and pillows were great!
The loaner bikes made island exploring very fun!
Free continental breakfast was nice.
Great chocolate chip cookies in the evening!
The front desk girl never smiled and seemed bothered by our simple requests.
The bathroom was not conducive to our vacation travel, maybe because it was a handicapped bathroom. We were never informed that our room had a handicapped bathroom. There was no counter space at all, no working exhaust fan for the steam, and no separate light over the mirror to shave or apply makeup. They could add a rolling cart to keep our bathroom items. The shower water pressure was terrible (we were on the 1st floor) and it took about five minutes to get to temperature (a waste of water).
The bikes were great but the seat height was terrible! Adjustable seat posts are very easy to install on the bikes allowing short adults or kids to feel comfortable and safe while riding, something we did not experience! My 5'2" wife felt very uncomfortable and scared riding the bike because her feet couldn't touch the ground!
We were abruptly awakened very early Monday morning by someone in the room above ours moving furniture or the like. There was no sleeping in there!
The free continental breakfast was nice but should have had more of a selection, especially for diabetics or those on a diet. There was no decaf coffee or sugar-free selections and it only lasts from 8:00-9:00 am. Having a free breakfast after sleeping in isn't possible! All croissants and muffins were individually wrapped so they can be left out longer than one hour!
The TV station selections was terrible! There were no movie or premium channels for us who wanted to settle down at night and watch a movie! There was no NewsMax channel for people that want other than mainstream or fake news!
Parking was a hassle too! There is no dedicated parking for hotel guests and fighting for parking in surrounding residential neighborhoods is not easy! Once you park, you are afraid to leave to go anywhere at night!

Very cute hotel and the location was great, and price was good in comparison to the other hotels in the area.
The staff was very courteous but did not know some of the basics they should have. For instance, they didn't know where we could ride bikes or the hours of parking enforcement (in front of the hotel). These are small things, but for people unfamiliar with the area these nuggets of wisdom go a long way in saving time and stress in figuring it out on our own.

location was fine and staff was good
we were not happy with the room given near the front desk entrance, right behind the breakfast area,
and close to the courtyard, VERY NOISY , NO PRIVACY, Constance tapping voice from upstairs and from everywhere.
could not sleep well . continental breakfast was poor. not worth $1036 for three nights. We should be compansated and some refund. not happy at all. should have gone somewhere else but could not as booked through Booking.com
Also Booking.com is hard to get hold off. staff was good but helpless for these issue.

From the moment you enter the doors, you know Hotel Marisol is the place to be. The overall vibe and ambiance, the friendly greeting from staff and proximity to the beach is ideal. We absolutely love the Marisol, and choose it for our stays in Coronado. We like the comfortable, charming rooms and the nice light (and free!) breakfast offerings.

Staff is very friendly, kind, and helpful. Great location near the beach. Breakfast was great. They had bikes and beach towels available.
There isn’t a parking lot so you have to search for parking.

The complimentary breakfast was perfect for quick cup of coffee and snack! Quiet and quaint, lovely hotel! The beach was a 5 min walk and the hotel provides beach bag, towels and even chairs. I've never had a hotel provide that!

The hotel was small but cosy. it’s really nice, and the staff is always in a good mood.
maybe the rooms are going to be to small for a couple. but it’s comfortable enough if you don’t care.

Great location, clean room and very cute.
Understaffed. Like so many places these days. There was one woman trying her best to do it all when other employees did not show up.
