Breakfasts were phenomenal consisting of 3 + prepared hot offerings, freshly cut fruit, cereals, granola, toasters to make your own toast to order, and full on coffee / espresso / latte machine dispensers… plus more. The indoor lounge for eating and the outdoor patios provided beautiful spaces for pausing to begin each day. Loved that beach chairs and umbrellas were available for taking to beach.

The classy feeling
Person in hotel room next door seemed to have been strange not in the usual way this wasn’t normal and made me uncomfortable

Great service and convenience.
The carpet on room 676 was stained and could have been cleaned before our arrival.

hotel did not seem as well kept up as last time I stayed. stains on the floor; no sheer curtains, shower not great
room not maintained well

Breakfast good. Location great. The pool was clean and well maintained.
Our room for the first 4 nights (ROOM 682) was not what we expected - dark, cramped, damp, and an odor. I felt we should have had better for what we were paying. The last night we were transferred to Room 450 which was a 2 bedroom suite and it was light, airy, and roomy. A big improvement!

Truth. I had just stayed at a little inn that cost 1/4 of the price and the beds were wonderful. There was a wonderful breakfast that was not even advertised that came with the room.
I felt like I was paying a lot for the prestige of the hotel.

The History architecture and the location was amazing.
Rooms are outdated. Outlets didn’t work.

nice historical accomodation. close to shops and beach.
rooms fine. dining area average. range of food and where to eat it limited. seemed very expensive for equivalent five-star hotels with bar/more comprehensive dining areas. i think this is probably a generalisable observation for all USA accomodation currently though.

Absolutely loved the location.
When booking it, I didn't have the option to pick the room I wanted. And the heater took quite a while to actually work.

Staff, breakfast, location all excellent
Outside nice, room a little dated

location, cleanliness, staff
Hot tub was down and we were not informed until we arrived. This was a huge letdown but really the only negative of our stay.

the property was beautiful and well kept and central to downtown. everything was walking distance for us
it was bit pricey. and would have loved the option for room service

location
tired decor, no luxury touches, lacking style

The bed in our junior type suite was very uncomfortable for me…. I asked if they could bring a board to put under the mattress.
The mattress was very old and too too soft! They brought the board and it helped a little…the mattress needs to be removed…. and replaced with a much firmer one….

Good location.
Property should be knocked down. It's like a motel 6 in the new section. New as in 50 years ago.

Location, staff and breakfast are great.
Facility is out dated, [room 586 ]bathroom
Lighting, AC loud inefficient , parking, landscaping are from 1990's . Not a good value for $400 plus a night.

The breakfast was wonderful!
