Pleasant

called ahead because we ran into problems and was going to be late. Had 2 rooms, my friend got there before me was on the reservation, and they didn't allow him to check in. had to goto a different hotel to get a room. so didn't even use one of the rooms.

Very deceiving pictures on listing. Uncomfortable bed, dirty floors, bad tech, moldy shower floor

We had a room on the first floor.

This is one of those places where you think, “How in the hello is ANYONE leaving good reviews for this motel??" I'll tell you how: After the manager (owner?) read this review, he offered to comp us another room for another time (as long as it wasn't a Friday or Saturday- lol), or give us ONLY HALF of our money back! Lol! The floor was FILTHY, we had to wipe our feet off with a towel before getting into bed, the toilet leaked, there is mold all along the bottom of the shower, the mattress was terrible: I tossed and turned all night; I doubt I slept for 5 minutes and I even brought my own pillow. The coffee was undrinkable- I say this bc I put powder creamer in my cup and it never dissolved, it just floated on top of the coffee., no matter how many times I stirred it. I purposely picked this place bc of the decent reviews and it was a little pricier than other hotels/motels in the area (thinking it must be nicer since it cost more, silly me). The online pics are very deceiving. Funny story: the volume control on the TV remote didn’t work. We called the manager who came into our room to ‘fix’ it. He brought a different remote, turned up the volume for us and then left with the remote! 🤣🤣 There are no USB ports in the room, which would seemingly be an easy fix bc the lamps have AC plugs on the base. My advice: go with one of the chain places. We should’ve stayed at the Wyndham. It would’ve been cheaper and, I’m sure, much nicer.

Booking .com should be ashamed for allowing pictures to be used from 30 yrs ago!!! from its hey day. way too much money for this stay, it should be under 100.00 per nite!! this is not personal just FACTS.

The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. They gave us free bottled water upon our arrival! Nice people

Nice place to stop for the night while on a longer trip

Located close to restaurants and shopping in the beautiful town of St Joseph on the shores of Lake Michigan

It’s a renovated older style motel. The air conditioning was working but room seemed to be stuffy

Excellent place, great price!

I love that the staff were very kind and considerate for the most part. I love that the room was cool, clean and updated. I do wish the pool would have been open. I felt safe and comfortable.

The only thing we were just a little taken aback by was how the female staff members that do cleaning seemed to be pushy when we were making trips to the car to leave. Checkout is not until 11 am and we were leaving around 10. They asked my husband 3 times if we were leaving during the 3 trips he went out to the car. He said no twice and the third time said yes when we left. It just seemed pushy and rude for them to do this since checkout is at 11. And it kind of ruined their perfect review. Also, the second night a dog was barking in a room close to us so it was hard to sleep. The walls seemed to be very thin at times.

Bed was nice. Location good though not a great part of town.

Bathroom tiny and outdated. TV a bit confusing at first. A bit of traffic noise at night. Pool looks permanently out of use.

Best place ever

The staff went above and beyond what they had to do. I booked a king room that I thought had a couch in it for our grandson to sleep on. When they come out to show us to our room, they noticed our grandson, and upgraded our room to a 2 bed with no extra charge. They gave us fresh bottles of water and bags of chips. They showed us to our room, even helped with luggage and made sure we got into the room safely. Upon checkout they once again gave us water and chips. They were so very friendly, if I could rate them higher than what they have on here I would. Thank you for your generosity.

location was good for us. staff helpful and friendly.

Should have had visits to clean the room. Had to ask for clean towels after 5days. The bed was comfortable. The bath room needs some serious update. Shen showering the water stayed in the bath for ages. I assume the drain needed clearing. The washbasin was cracked and water went through and wet the floor badly.
