Excellent breakfast, beauty and character all around us!
A need to have an electric outlet near the bedside table to charge the phone at night. Otherwise everything else was absolutely wonderful!

Beautiful old house in a great location, walking distance to downtown. The beds were very comfortable.

Our stay was perfect, nothing negative to say. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and roomy. The location was close to restaurants, shops and beaches. We would stay there again if we returned to visit.
Everything was great.

quiet, corner room, nice shower, room had a gas fireplace for the winter, the house had a 24x7 kitchen for our use to make coffee/tea, provided cookies or breads as a snack. Breakfast was served daily in each house. Continental with a small hot item. The 2nd day, it was an egg snack with spinach. The chocolate chip cookies were tasty as well as the strawberry bed. Bikes are available onsite. Home was side street not far from downtown.
The hot breakfast item the first day looked like an overdone hash brown however; it was some sort of egg/cheese item that was lacking taste.

We celebrated our second anniversary and had such a fantastic time!
The property was beautiful, friendly staff, and clean.
We were able to check in early. We LOVED the texting feature for communicating it made the checking in/ checking out and question process seamless.
The location was right in the middle to the beach and the town in walking distance or a very short drive!
We loved the breakfast and the 24/7 coffee tea and water!
We put in our notes we were celebrating our anniversary and they left us a sweet note and treats for our stay!
Due to a winter store, we didn’t want to leave early but felt for safety we should! they were totally understanding and gave us a refund for the 1 day which were so appreciative and will be loyal to them for every visit.
the bed in the our room was so loud and squeaky every move we made it was so loud we felt the whole house could hear it.

The Inn is nicely decorated and appointed. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the bath products and towels were great.
Our room was very cramped for a couple. There was no place to put coats, shoes, luggage, bathroom kits, etc. Getting ready for dinner was difficult as there is only one mirror (in the tiny bathroom) and not enough space for two at a time in any space. It was also a very cold night and there was not an extra cover or blanket in the room.

The Captain's Collection neighborhood has a nostalgia that you only see in old movies. The old-style houses are kept up really well and the bed was SO comfy. Also highly recommend the soaking tub! Staff made it effortless to check in and out, and incredibly friendly 😀
Price for a one-night stay was a bit steep at over $500 total with taxes.

Love the convenience of a breakfast that is not just juice and a muffin.
Slight mixup in rooms that staff corrected immediately.

The staff was very friendly and lovely to chat with. The property was stunning and very clean. The snacks and beverages left out all day was a nice touch.

Beautiful property, super friendly staff, delicious cookies and breakfast, lovely common area decorated for Christmas with music.
would have been nice if the little private party bubble things in the yard were available in the evenings rather than just during the day. I think they would have been more successful if they been available until 8 or 9pm.

historic home
A little noisy ( could hear our neighbors coming in at night as though they were standing next to the bed!) as the doors are old and do not seal, but that is to be expected in an old house.

My main complaint was that the room was on the 3rd floor. Made it a little tough on us in our late 70's.

KCC couldn’t have been a better stay for us! The staff was incredibly welcoming and the accommodations were cozy and beautiful! The location is tucked away yet a 5 minute walk into downtown Kennebunkport. Breakfast each morning was exceptional and they made us feel right at home! If you are planning a trip to Kennebunkport- stay here!

Breakfast was good. Staff was outstanding! Bathroom was smaller than small.
The property did a good job of everything it does. The staff was superb, especially the introductory overview given at check-in. It’s just not my kind of place. I like hotels with dining and cocktail facilities under one roof.

beautifully renovated and decorated. delicious breakfast. Availability of snacks and beverages throughout the day. prime location.
the most uncomfortable bed pillows ever. Lumpy and so plump my head was at a most uncomfortable height and position. Would also like to see a makeup mirror in the bathroom. perhaps some novels in the living area.

In years past the score would of been a 10 but I am sorry to say if you are looking for a score it’s a 5. First off we drove from Bar Harbor on Thursday in a rain storm. Knowing we were not in the main building which is the only building I knew I called ahead to make sure there was parking at the Acton House. I was told there were 2 spaces (first come first serve). I explained we were in our 70’s and wanted to make sure we could park close to the building to get us and luggage in. So I asked to change to a building that had parking in front. To stay at the Captains house there would have been an addition charge of maybe $20. Since we were already paying $442 for the one night I was not ready to pay an additional fee. The woman I spoke with could have offered us a room in the Captains house for the same cost but didn’t. Would it have been that much of a loss to the Collection? We were offered a room in the Fairfield House right across the street and yes parking was right there but she neglected to mention the Acton house where we had a deluxe queen was so close we could have parked in the Captains lot just as easily. We were given a king room on the first floor. The room was clean and linens were nice. I guess the modern decor was someone’s idea of let’s mix early 50’s in a victorian house. Didn’t work as there was no mirror in the room, things sliding off the “cool” night tables and there was a tacky old white Ikea style amore in the corner. We were totally ready to put all aside as we have stayed in Lord Captain’s Bed and Breakfast before and who could not admire the wonderful breakfast set at a beautiful table. Well that doesn’t happen anymore the dining room now has little tables around the wall of the dining room. Serve yourself to food I would compare to defrosted Costco breakfast items. I’m sorry totally not acceptable. I was so disappointed I can tell you I will not be going back.
