Great location and a small, comfortable environment. The room was a lot bigger than expected. Bed was super comfortable and I loved the separate seating area. Bathroom was also a great size.
The room was nice but there were several guys in the room next door that were extremely loud. They were yelling and it sounded like there was a wrestling match going on as things kept sounding like they were slamming against the wall and the floor. Rooms were advertised as sound proof.

Upscale and clean
There was a lady who worked breakfast in the morning. She was very rude cussing while there was kid’s eating too. She cussed out a elderly man because he asked was breakfast still going and if he could get some more of something they had in the breakfast spread. Her response was very rude, she told him breakfast was over at 11am and that basically they had what was out. As she stated walking about she called him a old a**. I told the front desk before leaving and no one had name tags on and had no concerned. I’m convinced they look out for each other. I even heard them talk about a customer while I was getting checked in.

The plates weren't clean at the facility for breakfast.

The breakfast was great! Different from the normal continental breakfast offers. We were well-pleased both mornings. The location was excellent. We were able to walk to the Soda City Market Saturday morning.
The air conditioner in our room was noisy. When it turned off, it was quiet... and hot! When it turned back on, it was cool but loud. The facility needs good maintenance. The elevator (1/2) broke while we were there. The bed wasn't as comfortable as expected.

location was good and the room was a nice size.
the bed was not comfortable and I couldn’t sleep. the pool was being renovated which was one of the primary reasons we chose this property. nowhere on their website nor on Booking.com did it mention that the pool was out of commission. without the pool the property was way too expensive and I completely regret booking this facility and paying what we paid.

The location in historic Columbia is ideal.
The temperature was so cold for a few days here in the south and the buildings heat couldn’t seem to get the room even close to a comfortable level. I had planned to stay two nights, but checked out after the first night. even the common areas such as the breakfast and bar areas were uncomfortable. Additionally, the hotel is under renovation and no where was this conveyed to guests until you arrive. there constant movement of materials in through the main entrance prevents guests from being able to comfortably use the business area.

No one st checkout and upon checkin one person handling a line at 4p

location was wonderful. The room itself was modern and clean.
Half of the hotel was under construction so it was a little cluttered but obviously they have to do that to make improvements. It wasn’t much of a hindrance. The only truly negative thing I have to say is all of the common areas were unnecessarily hot.

Loved it. The price is a little high with no parking in the front but I will stay again

The two young ladies in the reception area were the most helpful and accommodating that I've met in a very long time. They even kept the kitchen open to make sure that I had something to eat when all of the local restaurants had closed their kitchens for the night.
Their address may be on 'Gervais St.', but parking, entrance and reception desk are located in the next block on 'Lady St.' & the entrance to the (small) parking lot blends so well with the rest of the neighborhood that it's nearly invisible.

you had to pay daily for parking in addition to hotel fees. the kitchen staff was very rude. and had to change rooms because the bathroom had been used upon check in

Nick and the other staff at the front desk were responsive and helpful from tips on the area, parking assistance and even kid relief.
I would have liked to know that the place was under construction when booking but it wasn’t inconvenient. once the coffee bar was completely empty during breakfast hours. and the message I sent a week prior to arriving was never answered.
