The Hot spring water was nice. The receptionist was very nice and helpful.
The place is run down from our last visit, the fencing above the pools was falling down, paint and general repairs need attetnion. The grounds were in need of some love and care.

They did an amazing job with decor, so many great details. I loved the seating niche in the room! the room was comfortable.
I booked this thru booking.com not realizing that the room was on a second floor -- most of the small spa hotels in Desert Hot Springs are only 1 story so I didn't read carefully. I"m disabled and it was hard to get up and down the stairs. Because it was booked thru booking.com and not directly with the hotel, they couldn't change my room even though they had first floor rooms available.

Beautiful ambiance quiet, quaint, and a wonderful quick getaway. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

A moroccan palace. Mineral water from hot springs aquifer running through the indoor plumbing as well as the pool and jacuzzi. Delicious water. Very helpful staff.
Covid-safety cutbacks on breakfast offerings.

Basic breakfast. No hot water in shower
Renovate the place

We absolutely love this place, the atmosphere is wonderful. The pool and spa pool are great and the Moroccan style is fantastic! In spite of it being a bit old and in need of renovation, the place has so much charm and the receptionist was very kind.
The hotel and garden need a lot of renovation. The carpets in the rooms and outdoors are old and dirty, most of the lanterns are broken and rusty. Lots of the outdoor pillows are old and bleached by the sun.
The bathroom floor was all broken, we didn't have hot water in the shower and the water pressure is very low.
There are 2 great fireplaces outside but nobody knows how to switch them on nor they have matches.
Breakfast is extremely poor and cheap, very bad and unhealthy options (the cheapest products you can find around, not a very good thing to be presented with at a hotel). If this place offered a good healthy, organic breakfast with plenty of vegan options, people would be much happier. I would rather pay 10 or 20$ more for the room but have a real healthy breakfast than those super cheap all chemical products.
The garden could be wonderful, but everything looks a little abandoned.
In general the place has SO much potential and it could be just gorgeous, but it needs more love, care and a feminine touch. We hope to see it in all its splendor soon!

Having to leave 😪

as advertised, it’s seemingly quite authentic (I’ve never been to Morocco)
I expect some elements are in line for upgrades/repairs now that we’re moving into post pandemic and business picks up (e.g stairs up to and including small infrared sauna need a refresh)

The room was super cute - decorated very nicely and cozy. The sheets were sooo soft! This little gem of a hotel was a great find for our stay! Very quaint and super clean! The staff was very nice! Would definitely stay again if in the area and next time I will definitely book a spa treatment!
I loved everything about it! I do not have any complaints. Would definitely visit again.

small cozy hotel with quirky flair
the morning we were checking out there was no water -couldn’t shower, couldn’t flush toilet, couldn’t wash hands, couldn’t make coffee, etc. guests who had checked in the day before were notified of the scheduled outage but guests who’d checked in two days before, like we did, were not. why would maintenance be scheduled in the morning when guests must check out??? the assistant manager on site, Ozzie, was downright rude and completely unhelpful. another staff person who was present when we checked in, Debbie, was apologetic and clearly mortified but without the power to assist us. after paying $546 for our two night stay and NOT HAVING ANY WATER the morning of checkout our stay was ruined. it was a very long day on the road after starting off in such a terrible manner.

The water, Moroccan themed music and decor, the Moroccotini body scrub by Maria was divine
Breakfast (very basic)

Small quite friendly place with comfort and garden spaces throughout. I enjoyed the round the clock access to the mineral spa, and steam bath. The coffee was awesome! Continental Breakfast fresh . The Massage was incredible. Comfort quiet friendly in a themed atmosphere a great stay

Unique little oasis with a wonderfully laid back Moroccan vibe. Refreshingly different from other cookie cutter resorts. A great place to zone out. Had one of the best massages ever, and Robert was a total gem!
Some amenities will not be returning due to COVID. Noisy, intermittent plumbing issues were disturbing at night. Biggest drawback were the mosquitoes. I'm allergic and got over a dozen painful bites.

The look of the inn was fabulous - we loved the Moroccan inn theme. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The mineral waters were wonderful, the drinking water was exceptional, the complimentary "Humphrey Bogart" was delicious. The inn was always clean and quiet. It was very relaxing.
Although the continental breakfast was appreciated - having a more varied selection of bagels and pastries would be appreciated and not generic store-bought items. Also - please provide napkins with the breakfast. The only product available was paper towels from the towel dispenser.

I like that is was small and there wasn't a lot of people there. I like that is was very quite and Peaceful and I thought the location was cute. I also Loved the Lemonade it was Perfect and refreshing. And I like that NO Kids were there, I was after Peace and Quite and I found it there.
I did not like that the Garden wasn't kept up so we could enjoy relaxing in the Garden without dusting off the chairs first but I understand mother nature has to do her thing with the trees. There was no instruction on how to turn on the fireplaces and the pillows could of been a little better but over all I was Happy.

The place is an absolute gem. You can tell it was made with love, it is much better than what it looks like in the pics, it's more Moroccan and enchanting, specially at night. The pool and spa tub are amazing, the room with Casablanca playing all the time, the garden, the kitchen...everything is wonderfully decorated and tasteful. We stayed in a lovely king room with canopy bed, very romantic. We will definitely come back, even if the place needs renovation and some more care, it is definitely my California favorite so far! The best thing: the Middle-Eastern music playing the whole day. Wonderful!
The place could be AMAZING, but it really needs renovation. We enjoyed our stay a lot and we LOVE the style, but: we had no hot water in our room; the towel rack in our bathroom was falling apart, the lights in the room were all off and unplugged; the bathroom was not so clean and the "tiles" are old and uneven; the smell coming from the sink was very bad. Breakfast was really bad, just some super cheap and unhealthy things. I think it would be better for the branding of the hotel to serve better, more generous and healthier breakfast (there were almost no vegan options also). The hotel space could be SO beautiful if it was taken care of. The garden could be amazing is well tended, cleaned up and renovated. You can tell everything is super old, which is cool, but my things are not taken care of. The outdoor shower could be fantastic, but it was dirty with a very low water pressure. The bench inside the outdoor shower looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. In general I feel the place is fantastic and a true gem, but it needs more care, more clean up and better breakfast, toiletries. It doesn't look good when you can tell they just want to keep it cheap.
