The pool, the room , the beach
I didn’t like that the bartender got frustrated with me due to me asking for a cup for water ! She stated that she couldn’t open up bc guest kept asking her for things ! If she can’t handle her job maybe she should have help! Very unprofessional!

Fabulous breakfast! Many many choices, well tended by staff, and the room is light and bright overlooking the Gulf shoreline. Great, friendly service
TV awkward: had to use the remote for the set itself and then another for the service( Direct TV)

The hotel is very clean and modern looking. The staff was excellent especially Robyn at the front desk. Had a room with a great view of the beach we enjoyed watching the surfers. The location is good close to everything you need.

My beachfront view. When booking, it wasn’t clear to whether the view would be a partial or full view. I wanted a full view.

Breakfast was very good, altho some of the food served wasn't cooked right, French toast Hard, no waffles, sometimes coffee machine only filled cup halfway. The front desk very helpful, ordered pizza it was fabulous. The price for 2 nights was a bit steep for our budget.
Parking at those rates should have been free, it was 10. A night extra to park.

The room was very nice and clean, the pool was clean and enjoyable, and the entrance to the beach was great with a place to wash off the sand coming in. The employees were so nice and helpful. Would highly recoomend the Tides
Not having ice on each floor, having to go up one floor each time I got ice, I made it, though Having the lobby on our floor was a good thing.. Everything else was great for our visit.

I stayed here before because its smaller and mostly families.
It was clean and parking was nice. Breakfast was good.
Elevators were very very slow.
I did not like people eating in and around the pool.
The pool is small and there was a large group of teens playing too rough. On each other's shoulders pushing each other off with little children all around. We finally left because they were rough housing and we were afraid they would hurt the kids. We went back later and they came back so we had to leave again.
I dont believe 3 year olds/young children should be left at the pool or in the pool without a parent in there with them or sitting on the side watching them at all times.
We sat there with 2 tiny children for a long time and had no clue who the parents were or where they were at.
NOT SAFE at all.

We have stayed several times at this location. Best all around

I loved than it was right by the beach, and close to all the activities me and the kids wanted to do. There was a lot to great shopping centers and restaurants not to far from the hotel.

It was beautiful. Had a perfect location.
The pool was entirely too small. There were too many people, not following the rules and no one monitoring. It’s a very shallow pool and people were diving and jumping off the waterfall and it was very dangerous. It was also very crowded. This hotel needs a bigger pool.

The location was great. Close to gulf shores and Florida state line. Easy beach access with chair rental available. I liked how the hotel had pizza available on site and van be ordered by 8pm which was nice. There are beach towels available in the lobby which is nice. There was hot free breakfast every morning. It's not as good as 2 years ago and didn't have the variety but it was still decent. The fruit was also not as great as in the past. We had the room with a larger patio with a gulf view but our room was smaller than when we previous stayed. The lobby has a nice coffee/hot chocolate machine.
The daily parking was $10 a day but there were several vehicles without parking tags parking in our garage to go to the beach only. We watched this daily. The beds were not comfortable than our last stay. The free breakfast quality has decreased. There are only 2 elevators that both guests and housekeeping have to use. They will push their carts on with a group of guests and not think twice. Everyone for the most part was friendly except 2 different bar tenders. 1 male and one female. 1 male stayed on his phone the entire time and never smiled. The female was not friendly and handled a situation poorly making us not want to return. Do not sit your icechest down to let your kids swim going to the beach or coming from the beach. They will call management on you and not even tell u anything first. We were ordering from the bar and let our kids swim for a few minutes leaving the beach. We had set our soft cooler down by the chairs with our other 2 beach bags and boogie boards. Management was called and told us to leave because we were breaking hotel rules having an icechest in the pool area and it was against Alabama state law. I was unaware of this law but did see signs of no cookers or outside alcohol allowed. We only had waters, juices, and sandwiches from being at the beach all day. But he didn't even look inside just told us we had to leave. We saw others with icechests all week long and nobody was told anything so we didn't think it was a big deal. Plus they have an icechest ice machine in the pool area but don't set it down to let your kids swim. Or management with make a scene wich was unnecessary. Plus there were non hotel guests using the pool area and hot tub and the private beach access all week making the pool area crowded.

Breakfast buffet was very good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a good relaxing time.
It would be nice to not pay parking for the parking garage. We have been coming to this hotel for many years and in the past we weren’t charged for parking.
