Breakfast was excellent but dinner was not. It was over $20 for one person to eat re-warmed shrimp and fish. We ended up eating the apple butter and biscuits for dinner.
Dinner is truly my only criticism. Everything else was super!

The staff was very friendly. The cabin was beautiful but a little on the small side. The trails are nice. Pool area, gift shop and arcade was great!
The beds could have been more comfortable.

Everything but the glaring lights at night.
The lights coming in from the pool (rooms 101, 103)

Everything was wonderful, they had everything we needed and more!

Very quaint old inn but was kept up extremely well.
The kids were very disappointed the pool was closed. It was one of the deciding factors for choosing the hotel.

Beautiful property. The cabins are cute with a nice keurig! Love the souvenir shop.
The staff was unpleasant besides our waitress at dinner. She was awesome! We stayed in the cabin and the beds are tiny. We didn’t get much sleep. I’m a 5’8” female and my husband is 6’1” my feet hung off the end of the bed. We were waiting at 10am for breakfast buffet and it took almost 10 minutes for the waitress to acknowledge us.. when she finally did she goes “can I help you?” Well we are waiting by the “please wait to be seated” sign 🙃 and she told us they were packing everything up and we couldn’t eat. We just wanted to grab a quick bite. If she seated us 10 min earlier we would’ve had time to eat real quick before we headed home. The young man who worked front desk the night before was also unpleasant. I grew up staying at the Turkey Run Inn run and was excited to stay here with my husband for the first time and it wasn’t what I remembered :(

Staff was kind and helpful. Lodge was warm and inviting. Rooms very clean. Pool area fun for granddaughter. Buffet was good for adults, lots of choices. Each day there was a different selection.
Not enough lighting in our cabin or our hotel room. No coffee in cabins. No real food choices for finicky child. Applesauce and fruit would have been helpful. The cost for a child was outrageous.

An hour drive from my house, and the accommodation available for a quilter’s group
No coffee machine available downstairs although the lady at the desk provided my morning coffee. ( I could not use the coffee machine in my room since my roommate was still sleeping at 5:00 am….

Location
Inn is definitely showing age and wear and tear. Rooms had old windows and heat.

Atmosphere excellent, breakfast was good, room and bed were comfortable. Appreciate the coffee provided.
My shower had mildew. Staff came and cleaned it. Difficult to operate the tv. Staff had to fix it. Instructions are not clear. Restaurant was a little overpriced

Absolutely beautiful park for anyone who enjoys hiking in the great outdoors! There are many, many different trails to choose from, for all levels of hiking experience.
Meals in the restaurant were a bit on the pricy side.

Close to all the hiking we wanted to do at Turkey Run, cabins have been updated.
We would have had a hot breakfast but having only the buffet option at $15.99 made it too pricey for us.

The property was fantastic, very beautiful with a pretty good amount of things to do in the area. The pool was also nice, surprisingly deep.
The bed was a bit stiff. Hotel was overall good besides that. The restaurant food was decent, but service could be a bit slow at time, also the menu was confusing. There said there was a Buffett every night we were there but there never was was over the course of the 2 days we were there.

The cabins have been spiffed up a lot since we were here before. Everything is attractive and crisp. It's very relaxing and pleasantly low key. Many couples and friend groups of older people seemed to be enjoying their time here.
The food is what we expected--pretty good. The dining room suffers from lack of staff so there is a lot of waiting or mixups. The staff was working very hard to try to keep up. The servers were pleasant in spite of their challenges.

There was no wood available for the fire pit. I feel that should be part of the stay- staff starts a fire!
No wood for a fire

Food quality could be better.
Especially since there is not any real alternative.

The room was nice and updated from the last time we were there about 5 years ago! Love the location of the hotel being so close to the trails. The staff in the restaurant were all very nice and welcoming.
We loved it all!

I liked that it was rustic
The air conditioning didn’t work well all over . It was very clean , it took forever to get waited on , it was sooo noisy at night time

Clean and neat rooms. Buffett was good for supper.....salad bar was very good, meatloaf was very good (not so good on the fish or the fried chicken) We went to the olympic pool which was very wonderful (it was a $3 fee.)
Staff members were very helpful and very friendly! Lunch off the menu was very good.
Room was clean but needed serious updating. Bottom of bathtub was NOT good. Beds were clean but too short :)

Turkey Run is a great place to visit, lots to do and absolutely beautiful.
Super dingy room, not very clean. I get that it’s a historic building, but it smelled like stale cigarette smoke and there was hair on the bathroom floor. The window glass was cracked and the walls were filthy.
3.5 / 5.0
Deep indoor pool, restaurant on premises, hiking trails right outside, veranda and lodge room were great, fridge/microwave/coffee
Old bathrooms (in room & community)

Did not eat breakfast there. Wanted to order off menu but all that was offered was the buffet, too much for me.
Being able to order what I want off of the menu.

Location within the park was good.
The beds were extremely uncomfortable. I could feel the springs in the mattress. I’ve slept on better futons and air mattresses than the beds here.
The doors to the rooms have enough of a gap that you can clearly see the light of the hallway all night long and you can hear conversations outside your room as if you were standing next to the person speaking. Not the most private or quiet atmosphere.
The restaurant only served buffet style while we were there, which isn’t a huge deal but the dinner buffet was mediocre at best and did NOT have any kid friendly options. WAY overpriced for the quality of food served.
We requested a late checkout and then confirmed with the front desk the morning of checkout that we had a late checkout at noon. Our keys stopped working at 11:00 and around 11:20 housekeeping unlocked and opened our door while we were in the room. Definitely a miscommunication here among the staff.
The elevator stopped working while we were inside it. Waited a few moments before it defaulted to the basement. Happy we got out but we had to meander through the basement storage area before finding our way out.
For the price we paid I expected better quality.

Ask for a queen suite and the bed was a twin. Very uncomfortable.

Nice restaurant with good service. Shelby was our server a couple of times. She did a great job! Nothing fancy.
I will definitely recommend the inn to anyone vacationing at Turkey Run😎
Restaurant was over priced. Quality of food did not warrant the price.

Kids loved the park and arcade at the inn. Room was clean. Had a fantastic time canoeing.
The cabin was a little steep at $156 for one night. Our horseback riding was cancelled due to very rude staff. Told us to be there at 11, and weren't there! But the cabin stay at the Inn was great.kids loved the trails

Spent some time with nature center and even went on a birdwalk. They were very positive, friendly and most helpful. Very picturesque and trails were great for a 74yr old. Sent some pictures to cwestmoreland.gov fat nature center for their use if needed....
That I didn't come in the spring and might even plan a fall trip there. Ladders were closed .
