The staff was SUPER friendly and went out of there way to make our stay great. It was super cold and raining a lot during our stay and they were VERY nice, provided transportation to a restaurant and even brought breakfast to our room due to the weather conditions. Beautiful view! The hotel has a lot of potential but the rooms URGENTLY need maintenance or a renovation, especially the bathrooms.
Bathrooms are old and rusty, therefore don’t look too clean. We had very bad luck and had a lot of rain and very cold weather during our stay, so it is not the ideal hotel to stay in. I can really see the potential of the hotel, its concept, surroundings, etc. but it was too expensive for the how the rooms are right now. With a quick renovation it will be definitely be worth your money.

This is the ultimate couple destination in Valle de Guadalupe, the landscape and atmosphere here is just surreal
I liked everything just everyone need to be aware being that close to nature needs it own mindset.

location amazing and unique! pool area lovely and serene

The VIEW IS INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! THE STAFF IS AWESOME AND ALWAYS HELPFUL/SMILING!
We were disappointed to find the oyster bar and lobby restaurant closed. We had no notification of these facilites being closed. The weather was very cold and although the area by the pool was wonderful, it would have been great to have a place to gather indoors as it is not feasible in the rooms.
Chef Andres was spectacular. The cuisine and bakery/breads were unbeatable. I would HIGHLY recommend the restaurant TOBA even if you are not staying at the hotel.
STATED ABOVE ALREADY.

Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is way overrated. It is very expensive for its quality and its service level. Rooms are ok but nothing special, the best thing they have might be the view but in our case we got a room that didn’t have a good view. And though the staff was super friendly and helpful the service lacks the little details that make your stay special. I wouldn’t recommend people to pay what they charge for this hotel as we stayed in others in the area that were less expensive and had more to offer.

Amazing stay at Encuentro Guadalupe. Incredible views, lovely pool and jacuzzi area, top-notch cuisine at the restaurant. No doubt the highlight of our trip.
Very expensive, both the hotel and the restaurant - but it easily is the most luxurious, iconic hotel in el Valle.

getting a response for pickup for rides were slow as it seemed hotel needed more drivers

The Food was AMAZING! The chef was attentive and went out of his way to make sure we were happy! The staff was lovely. The rooms were small and not a comfortable place to sit besides the bed. The outdoor chimney was clutch!
I would have rated this place SIGNIFICANTLY better IF the pool had been heated! That is insane to pay 500$ a night for a room, be there in February during a heat wave-85 degree day- and have a pool that was literally equivalent to an ice bath.
4.1
view and location
minimal hot water and having to shuttle everywhere

The hotel is clearly a world class hotel, located in a natural reservoir. The architecture is really interesting.
Everything , and i mean EVERYTHING the hotel had to offer was unavailable because of an event they host the weekend before. The restaurant , the jacuzzi, the fire pits in the rooms, and worst of all the service. We made a handful of complaints about this due that clearly if you stay here, its because you want to live a different experience rather than staying in a regular hotel in an exchange of a higher cost, but the only ones that apparently didn’t understood this where the hotel staff.
After returning home, they told me i could get a 20% discount in my next stay… even this was a little insulting.
If you are staying here , just make sure they will be operating they’re services in full capacity, because they clearly can’t handle a busy weekend without neglecting their next guests.
So so disappointed.

staff was very nice, the swimming pool area was great, the trails connecting the rooms are wonderful.
Dishonest, dirty, not luxurious, not worth the money.
They don’t have a restaurant, it is under construction right now. There should be a disclaimer on booking and on their website letting people know. It s dishonest to have pictures of food and say there is a restaurant on site when there isn’t one.
The bathroom in the room was dirty (see pics). For $500/night any sort of dirt is completely not ok. I also saw litter in the premises, I assume it is the guests throwing their garbage which is so disappointing that people look at nature and thinks it’s ok to liter it, but the hotel needs to do better at cleaning the litter, specially for the price being paid to stay there.
When we arrived we were told there was no restaurant, but there was snack food at the pool. However, we ordered the snack food and they were out of everything, including the rose! At a winery they ran out of the wine! They also claimed they had breakfast, but the breakfast is just toast and cereal.
Since they were out of all food we had to leave the premises each time to get food, there is no fridge or anything to make our own meals at the premises. I booked at Encuentro to hang out at Encuentro but I couldn’t as much as I would’ve liked because there was no food.
If they had been honest on their website I would’ve waited to plan my trip and I’d done it when the restaurant was ready. The staff love telling you about how great everything is going to be once the restaurant is ready, I loved knowing I came at the wrong time!
Also their pictures are misleading, they make it seem like you have a huge window and terrace in your room, that is not the case. There is one window and it is not very big, not the view I imagined.
We complained and were offered 50% off at our next stay, but we won’t be going back. Extremely disappointed!
4.1
Only the pool area
They didn’t had room service
No restaurant
No winery
You need a belt boy to get to your room, sometimes the waiting is too long.
They mentioned that the concept of the hot was being renewed....
It was a little disappointing
4.1
The customer service is beyond exceptional. The road is hard to drive and when we requested a ride to the car or the pool, they quickly arrived.
We had been to the restaurants there before and we had no clue that the restaurants are closed down and not sure when they will reopen. Only the pool restaurants bar was open. Limited options. So we had to go out of the resort for dining.
4.1
The grounds and the view.
The room is very small, shabby, bathroom is tiny, not very clean, furniture is falling apart, not enough space to store your clothes, really poor lightening.
4.1
The place is wonderful and the service is great!, the people is amazing and they always are there to help. The pool area is great and the cocktails there!
Rooms: The rooms looked old, the furniture must be upgraded urgently, the bathroom door doesn’t close complete, the view to the valley is not complete, the window with the view has just half of the space that it should.
In my case, the fire pit was in the terrace with a huge potential for an amazing view but in the front was a tree/plan that covered all the view, team should make some changes there.
If you are paying for the view from the room, this is not the place.
Is too expensive for that kind of room.
