Relatively Cheap, but would be my last option in Vancouver

Fairly well located, it was cheap.

- It was old and lacked malntenance in almost every corner. -It was not very clean, could see some garbage and dirty laundry laying around. -A couple of small "common areas", that had old and rusty chairs. -WiFi not working in the rooms. Staff was polite enough, but not helpful. -The cleaning lady should learn some manners. - If you have heavy luggage, might me pretty difficult to take it up the stairs by yourself.

Schönes Gebäude mit potential und einem gutem Ansatz … Gute Lage

Auch ein Hostel kann man mit kleinem Geld und Einsatz komfortabler gestalten ! Wirklich Schade , das Personal war nett aber die Sauberkeit besonders in den Duschen war furchtbar eklig ! Die Betten kaputt , die Zimmertür notdürftig repariert .Wohlfühlen kommt da leider nicht auf 🙁 schade, das geht besser

Decent location, passable facilities

My stay at St Clair Hotel-Hostel was as expected. The price was good, in comparison to other accommodation options in Downtown Vancouver. The location was also convenient!

The facilities were OK. As with many other reviews, I would agree that the washrooms were not very clean, but I didn't mind too much. The room was clean enough, and the bed was OK (not the most comfortable, but not the worst). The bed frame did squeak a lot whenever I moved, but this was anticipated from other reviews. For me, the biggest issue was the noise – but again, it's a hostel, so what can you expect. Ear plugs helped for sleeping.

Für ein paar Nächte ausreichend, mehr nicht. Dafür allerdings etwas zu teuer!

Die Lage ist fantastisch, alles fußläufig erreichbar!

Leider SEHR hellhörig, die Betten sehr abgenutzt und ausgelegen, bei jeder Bewegung hat das Bett sehr laut gequietscht. Ziemlich viel Schimmel in den Duschen.

Awesome! Felt like a hostel! Cheap, nice vibe, kinda scrappy

It’s a hostel! Felt like a hostel! Cute energy and cheap, great location, cute nautical theme haha

Wi-Fi was bad, I was trying to download a map so I could use it for my bike tour to Astoria and my wife kept disconnecting. Might be nice to have a bedside light as well also.

La ubicación excelente cerca del metro y restaurantes

Cuando llegue a las 3 pm el cuanto estaba sucio y tardaron como dos horas en entregármelo, los baños y regaderas sucios. Instalaciones en general en mal estado.

Recibes lo que pagas

Nos gusto que el alojamiento estaba céntrico y llegábamos súper rápido a cualquier lugar. La vista desde la ventana era bella

Dos de los días en el hospedaje al salir nos encontramos con excremento, entiendo que recibes lo que pagas pero los baños estaban muy sucios, entiendo que son compartidos pero eso no está peleado con el higiene. Hacia mucho frío, creo que el calefactor podría estar un poco más alto. Pasamos mucho frío

Location. Tea available. Towel. Very helpful stuff. Assistance with heavy luggage

Very cold room, no heating. I had 3 blankets and slept in clothes. Same temperature as outside, due to crack in a window. Very durty, dust and hair from previous guests. Laud from outside (you can hear cars, traffic) and inside building (everything, walking, talking, fighting) Stinky shower. Old building that deffinitly needs reinnovation

location was the only positive thing

pretty much everything what can be wrong , was wrong. The whole building is so old, it is not even funny. you cannot possibly walk on the floor without making a noise. Same deal with bed. It literally makes noise on each exhale. No privacy at all, this place has no soundproofing. If you are over 6’2” you have no chance to fit in on the bed. Room was not clean and there were flocks of dust in corners. No ventilation in the room, it gets very stuffy inside. Terrible wi-fi, it does not work in rooms, you need to seat in the hallway in order to get some reception. A whole bunch of very suspicious characters are hanging around the entrance 24/7. There is no ramp, so if you have a suitcase , be prepared to drag it all the way up through the narrowest staircase. Paint on the ceiling and walls is peeling and dropping. Shared bathroom is shared not just with couple of rooms but with a whole entire floor plus it was filthy. the whole bathroom is just covered in black mould, which is a health hazard. We stayed there for 5 days and figured out that bathrooms are cleaned once a week only. No staff over night, so noise curfew is not a thing.

Wish I'd read reviews, will not stay again

The location is good for public transport, but not for food or shops. You're close to a main station but that's about it.

The room smelt. The bathrooms have mould and cracked walls + paint. The bed didn't have a top sheet or duvet cover. The spare blanket was ripped. The noise isolation is non existent. We could hear everything in the hall at all hours. The old stained glass above the door let's light in from the 24/7 hall lights. A small blind would fix this. The sink in the room hadn't been cleaned, and the floor had dust and dirt all over it.

Comfy beds, great location and value for money.

The location was awesome for the price. The private room was great. Comfy and clean bed.

Very loud outside our room with people yelling and shouting. Nothing on the hotel though! It’s not their fault. We’re just not used to the city sirens and shouting.
