Absolutely fantastic venue. Shame we only stayed 1 night.
The addition of a refrigerator would finish off the room perfectly..

Beautiful surrounding areas with the lakes.
On arrival the waitress was incredibly awkward about making an evening booking for dinner as was the chef due to being on his own.
We were put in the stable rooms which we later found out was right next door to the chef and other workers staying on the grounds. I’m not sure how appropriate it is to be placed in the same section considering we are paying customers. I am 8 months pregnant and as the night unfolded we were kept up hourly by noise from staff and other guests above us. Drinking until 5:30am and smoking outside our room. The room was so hot we were unable to shut the window. When I reported this in the morning we were unfortunately not offered any discount on the room just an apology. Overall it was a very disappointing stay with about 2 hours sleep.

Tiny bedroom. Menu was described as gastro pub but it wasn’t. Pub maybe but not gastro.

Perfect family room for a family of three with a separate room space for our 16 year old. Pretty lakeside surrounds with great restaurant and cosy pub. Staff super friendly and helpful.
Nothing at all. Comfortable stay.

The breakfast was very good. Full English. The staff were some of the nicest and most accommodating that we have ever met. The location was stunning.
The shower could have had a little more power

Shower wasn't great - it stopped working during our stay but a lovely electrician came to the rescue!

Warm & friendly.
Not enough facilities. No food or snacks available on arrival & bar & reception closed at 9pm. Wanted a night cap at 10pm no one in sight not even a light on.

Surroundings, and the meal, bed was comfy too

The setting was lovely and secluded. Food was good, and the staff friendly and efficient.
Ambiance within the main building and the ‘stables’ accommodation is more than pleasant.
Needs some TLC to the woodwork, a pity to see it slightly run down.

Beautiful location and relaxing stay.
Room a bit small and lack of options to open curtains in the morning as there were french windows onto a public walkway.

Friendly and sociable staff (especially our last night at the bar!)
Amazing breakfast.
Stunning location!
Road closures near hotel in the evenings:
- This could have been communicated to guests by hotel staff at check in as a heads up.
Took several of us guests by surprise and delayed our journey back to accommodation (by over an hr via back roads)
Prior to our arrivals, rooms had been sprayed (deep clean) and not aired enough before we arrived causing breathing issues (triggered son’s asthma)
A couple of other guests also commented on this in their rooms.
Also, one radiator was stuck on the ‘on’ position all night which did not help with above situation.
Mentioned our issues the next day and staff offered to go in with tools to amend issue.
They were also transparent about the spraying (is needed due to dogs being allowed in certain rooms) -which was appreciated!
