The team of staff is fantastic. The location is stunning. The breakfast has to be one of the best anywhere. The beds are super comfy too.

Incredible three night family holiday for grandparents, parents and 3yo child. Fowey Hall exudes luxury with very attentive staff; spacious comfortable rooms; excellent (and delicious) dining options; bars, cosy lounges and terraces with expansive views over the harbour and town. Our intergenerational family group felt very pampered, and our granddaughter declared it "the best holiday ever". Did I mention the kids club -- with a two hour free session each day; our tiny girl came back with art work, her face painted, and animal balloons, plus she'd made lots of new friends. She also loved story time (with mild and cookies); and the nightly movie with popcorn. To top it off, there are indoor and outdoor pools, and an adventure playground. We find that when our youngest family member is happily occupied, we're happy too!! We're already planning to come back next year for a repeat visit.
What's not to like about this gorgeous, palatial hotel -- the staff are incredibly well-trained and are super friendly and helpful -- nothing was too much trouble: crust-free tiny sandwiches magically appeared for our hungry toddler; and she did love the mini fluffy bathrobe to match mummy.

Fowey is not only a fabulous place to stay, the facilities are second to none and the extra touches like a games room, cinema room and all the rooms with books/chess are amazing. Food was good too. Beds and pillows are like sleeping on a cloud. Staff very helpful and welcoming.

A wonderful building in a truly spectacular location with views to die for. Very interesting history which members of staff were familiar with and eager to share.
A bit expensive but I guess you get what you pay for.
Although not the hotels fault, men in shorts and baseball caps at dinner was disappointing-maybe a dress code is in order?

We loved the location and the room was lovely. The staff are amazing and our dog was thoroughly spoilt. We didn't have breakfast but it looked very good.
The rump steak was less than average, chewy and tasteless (£34 - our local pub does incredible local fillet for £24) and the drinks were so expensive.

Every detail thought about. Clean, luxurious, amazing facilities for children
Slightly saddened that hot tub had gone

Fowey Hall is a stunning and sympathetic refurbishment of the orginal building with additional modern extensions including indoor and outdoor pool and spa. It is sat above the town and has beautiful views over the estuary and out to sea. Very well equipped, whilst clearly designed and managed wiht the family market in mind (and their dogs), it is also a great place for a weekend break for adults. The staff deserve a special mention, I have raraely come across such an excellent team.
Little to criticise but perhaps a few suggestions? The location being up on the hillside, it doesn't encourage guests to go down to the town in the evening for dinner, so the restuarant's evening menu needs a serious overhaul away from versions of pub food (albeit very expensive pub food). If we had been staying longer, we would have quickly got very bored with the selection. In a similar vein, as taking a car into Fowey is really impractical, and the town bus is erratic in when it runs, some thought might be given to a hotel to town shuttle, even if it were an additional charge. It's a very steep climb back up, for older guests AND for families with young ones.

The hotel was stunning, amazing views over Fowey (I have now realised it's pronounced Foy!) We got a room upgrade when we checked in which was a lovely surprise! The staff were very helpful and recommended Sam's restaurant down in the village, which we had already booked a table for. The facilities are excellent, we used the games room and the indoor pool, could have been slightly warmer, but minor issue, and didn't take away from our fantastic stay! Thank you!

Very friendly charming staff. Super helpful. Room was excellent. Efforts for encouraging children and dogs was wonderful. Dog loves the big hello!
Lovely grounds.
Everything was wonderful but it be good to have a little more choice in vegetarian options for dinner.
A few more hooks for coats by the bedroom door and in bathroom

Honestly was incredible and soo dog friendly. Our one night away was exactly what we needed, the staff did everything they could to make us comfortable. I can’t wait to visit again.

staff are absolutely wonderful at Fowey Hall. Nothing was too much and there was always a smile
the spa - really not enough for it to be called a spa. I totally dont get doing away with the outside jacuzzi which was fabulous at any time of the year but especially in winter with a glass in hand looking down at the estuary and out to sea - so sad that has gone! Also, unfortunately, if you open the doors of the bedroom which overlooks the new outdoor swimming pool there is noise intrusion from the pump, which is really quite loud and rather sad when I would prefer to listen to the birds or sea in peace. I visited after covid and was at the hotel on the day the pods for dining were being put up. I find it very bemusing that these are placed in such a way that the fabulous views cannot be enjoyed any longer uninterrupted from the lounge or open terrace.

Lovely period building gorgeous grounds and facilities well maintained and modernised. Parking a breeze and the whole place felt very sophisticated
Pillows were too soft to my liking and the bar service when sat in one of the other living rooms was too slow. We would have spent more on drinks if someone. Had been popping by to take more orders

Staff friendly and service good. But the central buffet area was not regularly inspected to ensure plates, plenty of spoons, food replenished. It really needed a supervisor to ensure that hygiene was maintained and all areas were properly serviced.
Not sure that hygiene standards in the food area were being maintained. For example, spoons falling into cereal and fruit containers etc.

Fantastic hotel, lovely places to sit and enjoy the views of the hotel, rather steep walk to hotel but worth the view. Lovely breakfast, dinner was poor.
The evening meal was very poor.

Beautiful hotel and location. The driveway is fine and not too narrow. Great parking. Easy go get into Fowey and the hotel has an outstanding view of the harbour, especially during regatta with the fireworks. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel so I cannot comment. Pool tables and table tennis. Lovely rooms and verandas to have a drink on. The Spa is pricey but very relaxing and a lovely addition to your stay. Staff very friendly, chatty and helpful. Breakfast staff lovely too.
The rooms are being mis-sold! We paid for the Studio Sea View suite and were given the room that is shown in the pictures for the Deluxe Room, NOT the premium room that is the Studio Sea View Suite!!! The room is sold as being in a separate building, with a lovely view and private balcony with seating. You DO NOT get this! Please see the pictures of our "Sea View" - which you'll see is just a view of the pool! When I questioned the staff about the view, they said its an estuary view but you can see from the pics that isn't true. You also had pool users looking through your windows constantly, no privacy whatsoever. Cannot be naked in your room because of people watching you! Wifi did not reach our room either so we had no Internet when in the room. At £2035 for 3 nights (~£690 a night!) It is not okay to show pictures of a balcony with seating, a walk in waterfall shower etc etc and then the room in reality is the room from the pictures that costs only £250 per night!! Also NO telephone so you cannot use room service. No outdoor seating. No walk in shower. Nowhere to do makeup because there is no mirror that can be used with a dressing chair and table. Breakfast is unlimited continental (perfect, lovely pastries and cereal etc) which is great but the hot food, the full English, is terrible. 1 Sausage and 1 Bacon!! Just one! Microwaved beans, half a mushroom. Not worth the cost. Go into Fowey for breakfast from a lovely little cafe instead. Overall we loved staying here, we made use of the spa and the pool, both lovely, but e cannot justify paying 690 pounds a night when you advertise with lovely pictures and actually use rooms that are much cheaper.

Everything!
Nothing to note here. The only thing I would like to mention but by all means not a negative comment is it is a bit of a steep walk (return in particular) to/from hotel to Fowey harbour, which is not for the faint hearted! However, there are benches to take a pit stop along the way! Along, with handrails enroute if you need them.

Everything was clean, staff were exceptionally helpful.

Service at breakfast was quite good however a bit slow sometimes. No tomatoes was disappointing reason given wastage but when you saw what people leave was amazing. It is a normal thing to leave half of what had been ordered!
No fruit tees

General feel, amazing views
No amenities information in the room, so it was a bit like doing the rubix cube to operate tv, fan, coffee machine etc.

Everything was lovely, can’t fault it.

The hotel was luxurious and relaxing and the staff were excellent; they were all very pleasant and attentive. This is really important to us in deciding we would return here. The family facilities were great, but you can equally stay as a couple (as we did) and enjoy the special ambience and delicious food.
We booked the classic double with sea view; the room was quite a bit smaller than we expected, although the bathroom was good.

A beautiful spot offering a tranquil respite to the lashing wind and rain. The perfect place to lose yourself in a game of chess with a loved one whilst enjoying one of their carefully crafted cocktails.

Beautiful location, stunning views and excellent staff.
Not a criticism at all as they are in the middle of a refurbishment but they still offered great service

both the approach to the property and all aspects of the interior wear to a high specification and luxurious feel. lovely view to the harbour
It was a slight let down with the constructions going on at the hotel, but it was made aware prior to our booking. there was a bread roll under the food serving counter during the evening meal, which was still there the following morning, during the breakfast service.
