L'accueil, la localisation centrale, la décoration années 50/60 (top, évidemment !), le petit-déjeuner...tout était parfait
Du jus de fruit frais et des œufs pour le petit-déjeuner ce serait parfait !

Great location near to everthing
Room and bathroom very clean. Beds were comfortable. I slept on the extra pull out cot. That was probably the best mattress I’ve had all week. Super soft and comfortable.
Staff was awesome. I left some important documents in the room after check out. Before I even realize they were gone, the staff was calling me on the phone telling me that I left them and that they had secured them.
There was a a bar down the street that got a little rowdy. But I think the local team was playing so not an everyday occurrence.

Staff were excellent. Great view.

very central location, close to a public car park
out room was rather small for a family of 3; there is no lift so other travellers might need to consider if you are able to take your bags to the third floor yourselves

Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. Clean room. Good location. Good price for service.
Thin walls.
Shared toilets for my room. (Was in the description!)

In the town center so nice place to stay. The room was very little but ok. Breakfast was good and staff was very nice.
Probably it was written but I've missed it. There is only the shower in the room, no toilet.

Easy road access and free parking on the street as we were there on a Sunday and public holiday the following day. Central location, easy to walk everywhere. Access when we arrived was via phoning to obtain an entry code - went very smoothly. Interesting 1950's decor, a feature of the hotel.
Not a problem for us, but no lift.

It was the second time staying at Oscars, we had a different and smaller room, but it was still nice and good value for money. It does the trick for 1/2 night stay.
The receptionist lady we had the first time ( short hair, glasses, young) very friendly lady. Great communication, and response. The first time I wrote a message asking if I could receive the code via booking.com message or email and I quickly got an answer, so I didnt have to worry if I could enter the hotel. This lady even gave us her mobile number in case there were any problems. This service was the reason why we choose to stay there again. However, second time around, we had a very different experience. You are suppose to get a text message on the day of arrival with the code for the door. I did not receive this text and send several messages via booking.com asking for the code. I did not receive an answer. How was I suppose to get into the hotel? When trying to call the hotel, I got a French answering machine which doesnt help me much. Now If you decide to only have your reception open until 12, guests can only check in from 14:00 with a door code they receive via text message, don't you think you should be available via phone, or check your written messages often in case something goes wrong? I had no way of contacting anyone of the hotel and I do feel this is extremely bad. Also of course your hotel is in France, but you are dealing with tourist so communication should be at least in 2 languages French/English, specially knowing that the owners aren't French, they should understand the importance of having more languages while working in tourism. I did manage to get in, showing another guest who was walking out my booking, to please let me in and give me the code. But what if no one would have come in/out for hours? What was I suppose to do? Be on the street? The next morning, I received a reply to my message a simple ''hello this is the code'' kind of message while I was checking out that day.

Marijke is awesome! She was very friendly and attentive, provided information about the town and surrounding area with suggestions of places to see. We will gladly return the next time we stay in Le Havre!

Good location (albeit fairly noisy street).
Friendly service and good breakfast (9€)
Nice but odd building, meaning it was fairly noisy (not a problem for us as our little one was making most of the noise).
Not sure it is really the 8.3 rating that was shown on Booking.com but definitely good value

Superb location. Our 2 bedrooms overlooked le Vulcan which was stupendous. Clean, tidy, stylish rooms. Very in keeping in style for those coming to Le Havre to admire its wonderful modernist architecture. Marieke was a fantastic host and really went out of her way to help make our stay enjoyable as possible. Including recommending great place for a drink / meal on the waterfront - the architect which they run too.
Nothing. Was perfect
